Mission: The Northwoods Alliance acts as an advocate for the local communities by educating, strengthening environmental networking and assisting in local action. Under our Land Conservation Initiative, we work to protect ecologically rich lands for the public. The benefits of land conservation include economic, environmental, social and intrinsic.
Results: Several thousand acres protected including Upper Wisconsin River Legacy Forest, Pilgrim River Watershed project, Wildcat Falls Community Forest, Border Lakes Conservation, Victoria Bluffs, Hill Top - Trail Lakes and more.
