I have been volunteering for Compassion Center off and on for about ten years now. While they went through a management change after recreational passed, they came back stronger than ever. In any case, they really do care, and everyone I have ever met on their staff goes the extra mile for the people.
Compassion Center is the typical medical clinic that aligns you with healthcare, mental health and social services. It's the people that make it special
Met these guys at a medical conference last year where they were giving away free healthcare here in Vegas. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't afford the measly $150 that they were asking, as if it wasn't the most affordable option already, but I just didn't have as it costs a fortune to live here in Sin City! They were like no problem man, take one of these fliers and register on their site and you can come Sunday. Boom, problem solved and I still got the same level of service as I would have in the clinic. Thank you Dr. Jacobson!
I have been a patient here for years, and while one would think that they would go up on their pricing, they have actually gone down. And not just a little either, they have slashed their prices by over 50% and are amongst the lowest cost cards in the state, while providing the highest level of service! Thank you!!!
So glad these guys are still here. They moved from Eugene to Hillsboro, but are on par and do the best job I have found in Oregon when it comes to evaluating patients for medical marijuana cards.
Grateful to be part of the change in healthcare and wellness, serving as board president and director of education for the Compassion Center has been challenging yet rewarding. What a refreshing experience to have patients at the helm of their individualized care.
Compassion Center is a pioneering force in integrative healthcare, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and populations worldwide. By offering individualized treatment plans that seamlessly combine allopathic, traditional, and alternative modalities, addressing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their patients.
Their mission is to innovate stronger care approaches that foster better health outcomes and advocate for a better tomorrow for all those we serve. Thank you for letting me be a part of this journey!
Fast, affordable and simple medical cannabis cards, but I think that they do advocacy and education too. It was intereesting finding out how my weed was contributing to my diet and mood.
I love the Compassion Center, its people, and what they stand for in the community. As Board Chair, I’ve had the privilege of serving Compassion Center for the past eight years in this capacity. I was recruited at a legislative hearing by two Oregon advocacy legends, Kris McAlister and Andy Nonnenmacher, to help turn the organization around during one of its most challenging periods—a time that was also personally challenging for me. I began as a volunteer, became a research fellow, then an advocate, and eventually joined the board. Through it all, I’m truly honored to be part of the thought leadership and Board of Trustees, contributing to the positive, measurable change Compassion Center implements in the community every day.
After serving several other organizations in various capacities over the years, my work with Compassion Center has given me the greatest return on my investments of both time and money. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and lead this incredible organization. Thank you, Kris and Andy, for bringing me and my visionary goals into this mission. I know that our work has translated into positive, equitable change.
Compassion Center has been serving patients as long as I can remember, and they never stop caring. They are the type of people who will call you when you don't even expect it, and for no other reason than to just check in on you and make sure you are doing ok.
Review from Guidestar
Compassion Center is a great nonprofit that assist OMMA cardholders and community partners to successfully navigate the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program through clinics, support services and education (Compassion Center, 2012). I am interning there for my Family and Human Services degree. I love working and helping the population that Compassion Center assists. This is a service that I could see growing because there is a great need for their services.
