HC4a is truly a one of a kind NPO, I feel fortunate to be a volunteer and get connected with likeminded people. If one has to understand the deeper meaning of giving back to the community then that’s what we should learn from Harish Uncle who has relentlessly worked day and night for decades. Education is the fundamental right and HC4a makes sure that even the homeless kids get it.

I have been Volunteering for HC4A almost since it is started. Love seeing and listening to benefiting kids and families. It’s a great feeling seeing Smiles and also so proud to be able to part of such a great Charity for Life turning cause.

The impact of HC4A on the community is significant. By providing essential school supplies to underprivileged children, they are not only supporting their educational journey but also instilling a sense of confidence and belonging. The joy and gratitude on the faces of the children and their families are testament to the positive change HC4A is fostering. These backpacks are more than just school supplies; they are a stepping stone towards a brighter future for many young lives.

As a volunteer, my experience with HC4A has been incredibly rewarding. The charity’s dedication to its mission, combined with the selfless spirit of its volunteers, creates a powerful force for good. I was introduced to HC4A through a colleague one year ago, and since then, I've had the pleasure of being involved in various roles, including project management, marketing, and campaign management. This experience has been incredibly fulfilling, as I’ve witnessed firsthand the significant impact we make in funding education and providing school supplies for underprivileged children. It also provides me with the opportunity to explore different roles and develop skills that are missing in my day job.

Great organization helping adults and students to better their futures. Education is the best way to rise out of poverty and low earnings. I love that they work with other organizations that provide wrap around services so the person is wholey supported and not just one aspect of their life.

I have had the pleasure of being associated with HC4A for almost a year, and my experience has been nothing short of inspiring. I attended their school supplies packing event, and it was a tremendous success! It was heartwarming to see teenagers, children, and adults coming together to pack backpacks filled with school supplies for underprivileged students.

One of the standout aspects of HC4A is their motto, "Serve Where You Live." This philosophy resonates deeply with me, as it embodies the spirit of community and generosity. The organization’s commitment to giving back to society without any differentiation based on race or color is truly commendable. I've had several opportunities to serve at HC4A and experienced the amazing spirit of service with those volunteering here. All donors and volunteers have a very personal connect to the cause as it serves our local communities through education - something immigrant communities value greatly.

The beneficiaries are homeless and underprivileged children and youth who can convert the donors vote of confidence in their abilities into manifold greater economic value in the Greater Austin area.

For over a decade, Hindu Charities for America (HC4A) has been on a mission to ‘Bridge Income Disparities through Education.’ Their founder, Harish Kotecha, has received many well-deserved public accolades for his efforts in building such an effective volunteer-driven organization that is making a difference in the lives of many by providing vocational scholarships as well as school supplies to homeless children.

Since 2014, nearly 200 Capital IDEA students have received scholarship support thanks to HC4A. As Capital IDEA’s Director of Development and Communications since 2017, I have seen the great care Mr. Kotecha takes in making sure their volunteers and donors understand the importance of their individual gifts and the impact they are making in the community. He understands the importance of creating a genuine connection between the donor and the nonprofit recipient. He makes sure our students’ stories are shared with their donors, and I think it has made a difference with their extensive fundraising efforts. Harish Kotecha is one of the most dedicated and committed volunteers, and he embodies HC4A’s motto: Serve Where You Live. ™

Education is a great gift to give. This non-profit is working towards ensuring low income and homeless children are equipped with all school essentials so they too are ready for school and saves teachers from having to spend their own money to buy the classroom essentials. Their foundation provides scholarships for adults towards college education and hence is improving their earning capacity, and is helping build a brighter future for their families.

HC4A provides supplies to schools in the Austin metro area. This year they are also providing internet connections to families in need. I love their mission of helping underprivileged children with education.

Beginning in 2010, the Hindu Charities for America (HC4A) has gone above and beyond to support Manor ISD students. Throughout the years, this charitable organization has raised funds to provide the Manor Independent School District with school supplies, vocational scholarships, and internet connectivity.

I'm amazed by HC4A'a work to bridge income disparity through education. Its generous donors and volunteers care deeply to make a positive impact in the lives of those less fortunate. Moreover, its work throughout the communities is ongoing and ever-present. And, for this and more, Manor ISD is truly grateful.

HC4A has engaged the community in meaningful ways to help the underprivileged in the Austin area. Involving all age groups among the volunteer ranks has been a great achievement. The focus on education through scholarships and school supplies helps students do what they are supposed to do i.e. learn, grow and give back to the community at large.

For 10 years, the all-volunteer leaders of HC4A have persistently and carefully built its capacity to support education non-profits of all kinds. They are fearless in trying new approaches and tireless in the hard work involved. Moreover, their work recruits, mobilizes and integrates new community leadership for Central Texas.

The Hindu Charities for America is a wonderful organization that I have been involved with for several years as a volunteer and also a donor. I have seen how generous the organization has been with their funds by donating school supplies and also scholarships. We appreciate Hindu Charities for America and all that you have done for the Manor ISD community.

The fundraising efforts involve community in different ways. I have witnessed several fundraising efforts the dedication of volunteers is uncomparable. Every program is a success and people involved at every level. The charity has supported the students through many charity programs. Even while helping the student community, the volunteers support is tremendous. People believe in their cause, volunteer and the organization in turn has helped and served the community from last several years!

This grassroots organization has grown exponentially each year to provide for the needs of homeless students in a growing number of Central Texas school districts. The organization believes in "paying it back locally" and in expanding their reach to other local donor communities. The organization is future thinking and innovative with great leadership. I highly recommend working with and supporting HC4A!

Designed to celebrate the “pay forward” model, HC4A provides a highly accountable path for generous Hindus as well as Jews to help needy children in their local community. Mr. Harish Kotecha, a successful Hindu entrepreneur, crafted the program to provide free school supplies for hundreds of school children. Activities bring communities together to experience Indian and Jewish food and dances to the delight of volunteers.

Hindu Charities for America (HC4A) is an amazing organization! Started in 2010 by Mr. Harish Kotecha after he retired from a successful career in high tech, the organization's goal is to help K-12 students in the USA who are in homeless and high-poverty situations have the supplies and materials they need to succeed in school. HC4A also offers scholarships to students to pursue short-term (a few months to two years) certificate programs that help them develop the knowledge and skills to obtain a job that pays far above the minimum wage. HC4A is an all-volunteer organization, with some of the volunteers giving hundreds of hours each year. The work they do is so appreciated by the students and their families--many of whom are no longer in poverty because of HC4A's assistance. HC4A is truly a GREAT nonprofit!!

It was a wonderful experience volunteering for such a good cause . God bless people involved with this charity making a difference in this world .

The Hindu Charities for America has touched and transformed the lives of countless Manor ISD students, of all ages, in need.

For many years, this charity has raised thousands of dollars for students to receive school supply packets for the beginning of the school year. Moreover, additional funds were raised for students to receive vocational scholarships. Through this support, students were prepared to enter school on the first day of school and trade or vocational programs.

This charity is a CHAMPION among partners in the community! The district will be forever grateful to everyone involved with the Hindu Charities for America for improving the lives of our children and youth.

It is our top most duty as members of this community to secure our children ‘s future and the sure shot way of doing this is investing in their education and helping them become responsible and informed citizens in the yeas to come.
Education should be accessible and equal to all children irrespective of their backgrounds.
HC4A strongly believes in this and towards this end has been trying to bridge the educational disparity through its fund raising events and donations of school supplies and much deserved scholarships.
Having attended two such events , I feel so honored to witness the whole process and the commendable work they do. it will remain one of the charities closest to my heart. Kudos to the entire team of volunteers and members for their selfless work and motivation .

I have been volunteering with HC4A for over a year and It is a worthy cause- providing basic needs such as school supplies to needful is vey rewarding - the scholarships given to well deserved students brings them a step closer to their goals.

As a retired teacher, i always have soft corner for under previledged children and education. I found the Hindu Charities for America giving vocational scholarships to various school districts’s students. I got involved and earned lot of fulfillment with this charity. I am sure these students will build great Community around them with HC4A support.

I am proud to be part of HC4A. I am currently serving as the Operations Director. I have been involved with this organization since past 4 years. It drew me to its core based on its openness and cultuvating an environment to take others ideas and let them drive the cause forward.

I am also drawn due to the impact it has on our local communities. We live here and give back here. If we dont address the dire needs in our own neighborhoods or backyard; there is no point in other things that you may do.

I am pleased to be part of this and looking forward to many years ahead.

I have been a guest and recently a volunteer at HC4A events including the school supply packing event. The energy I have experienced at these events is confounded only by the professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm of all volunteers. As the owner of ABCD Dance Studio, our dance school has choreographed for Dancing with the Stars in 2017 and helped raise a few thousand dollars. My team and I are comforted in the knowledge that the monies donated by ABCD will unlock scholarships for deserving students year after year.

My family and I are long-term volunteers and recently inducted board members into the HC4A organization. HC4A is the most focused, fun and effective nonprofit we have ever had the pleasure of working with. With a mission to eradicate income disparity through education for local children, and by offering numerous avenues to accomplish the same, we feel like our collective energies are put to good use and our work has a big impact on the community. Our family had the pleasure of being one of the celebrity "Dancing with the Stars" to raise monies at a recent Gala (10/20/18). We thoroughly enjoyed being part of this effort, raising money, and ultimately involving my young children in a noble cause.

Was impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of all those associated with this organization. It is a noble cause of bringing economic equality through education of underprivileged school children . I wish them well in their effort.

We are so impressed with the organization and mission! Education is the only way to get ahead in life and I love being part of an organization that supports ppl's educational needs. This is a charity that runs on 100% on volunteers. I know my money is going to to education and not overhead

My family and i had just moved to Austin a week before the annual back packing even last year. Someone mentioned it to us and my kids and I showed up. We were so impressed with the volunteers, the board and most importantly, the mission! I'm a volunteer for life now!
