I have been volunteering with square for others since its beginning stages. It has been a privilege to be able to contribute my time and resources to a nonprofits organization that actually does something with every contribution they receive. Not only do they provide hot meals to families and individuals in the streets, but they also build relationships with them to find them the help they need. This organization is a miracle to so many.
Square Up for Others is a nonprofit truly challenging oppression and social justice. Servicing the needs of multiple people is no easy task, but doing it with passion and the best interest of those this organization serves makes all the difference. Alex has single handedly walked along side over 100 individuals into a new pathway of life. Please continue to support this nonprofit fighting for the right to access to food, services and housing!
Square up for others is literally the hand of God working on earth. This organization is transparent, integrous and knows how to get results. Making a direct impact in the lives of people daily!
Alex Ramos is an impactful, powerful, positive game changer….. He’s truly inspiring. Square Up’s commitment to getting the homeless off the streets is genuine and sincere. The community engagement a in challenging population is important for some many struggling families and children. I’m extremely proud of this work!

Square Up is the real deal. Their commitment to outreach is genuine and they approach their work with a sincere desire to make a difference for those who are on the streets. Alex Ramos is a powerful, positive force of nature. The ability to engage a challenging population and listen without judgement is so important and something he does naturally. And he inspires others to join him. Square Up feeds so many, connects them to other community resources, and instills hope. If you believe that everyone deserves a second chance and no one should be hungry or homeless, then you’ve found an organization that is tireless in its work towards those goals. They are good partners and so important to our community!
Alex & his team go above and beyond to help these less unfortunate folks in the community. I’ve never seen anyone who treats complete strangers as family the moment he meets them! Alex, thank you for all you do! Continue doing what you do, God will take care of the rest! God Bless You!
Square Up For Others is a nonprofit that is changing the way people experiencing homelessness are assisted. They are on the ground not in an office away from those that need help. Every single night, regardless of rain, snow, heat, or cold they bring home cooked hot meals to designated locations in Bridgeport. They are in the business of making relationships. From that initial contact, they stay by a person's side helping them access cell phones, employment, and the transition to permanent residential housing. They are just one person away from celebrating their 100th person who is now off the streets and participating productively in our local community.
This nonprofit is so successful due to the systems they have in place and the team of volunteers who help with food pick up and distribution, networking with local restaurants, prayer teams, transporting household items to new residences and more. I have never met a more dedicated team of volunteers and that speaks to the many talents of the leadership.
I am happy to support SUFO as a financial donor, a cook and a friend.
This organization is truly the “real deal”. They exemplify what it means to do the work and be a blessing to others. Alex and all his volunteers have a heart for the people that can’t be denied. From helping those down on their luck to those who have been choked under a strong hold of addiction for years, Alex and his team use all the resources available to them to help. There Is no hesitation to pour love and and helping hands into those lost souls on the street that most of us don’t look or think of twice. If any organization deserves help, this is the first that I can think of!
I’ve seen Square up grow and help so many people in such a short amount of time. It’s been such a blessing to see the work of those involved impact the community the way they have. Very inspiring and life changing.

Square up for others is an organization that offers “the hope of a second chance” to those who feel they have no chances left. Every night, people in need are provided hot meals and Alex works to help get these individuals off the streets and into a place of their own. This is a special organization with a mission to serve!
Square up is all about helping others. They don’t just give once, they follow through with physical, mental, and spiritual guidance.
My wife and I work for a residential program in Long Island. Square Up helped a guy who was homeless for many years in Bridgeport Connecticut get into our program almost 2 years ago. This guy told me how square up came to visit him everyday on the streets to talk to him, listen to him, feed him and bring him jackets and comforters. Eventually he decided to take their help. This guy completely changed his life around. Square Up saved his life. Not only did he graduate the program, but he serves here as a staff member.
Thank God for organizations like Square Up who consistently dedicate their time to bring hope to others.
Our family had a horrible event happen to our 6 year old son Dominick who was set on fire by another child and Alex from square up reached out to our family shortly after it happened and has been there for my family since then till today. Their support has gotten us through so much and they have helped out with dinners and given so much support we are so grateful and blessed to have them in our life and family so thank you Alex and square up for all you have done for Dominick and our whole family we love you guys ❤️
My name is Vincent Abner Jr. I’m married with 7 amazing children. Due to Covid 19 I struggled to provide the necessities for my family. Square Up showed up! They helped with food, finances and a washer and dryer!! This organization has been heaven sent! I’ve also witnessed first hand the awesome impact that it’s had in the community. I can only imagine how much more could be accomplished with the right partnerships.
Known them from the START!!! Amazing founder, amazing people. I know for a fact founder is out there every single night feeding the homeless… aHe walks the walk. My friend got attacked and went into early labor as a result. Instead of a baby shower she had a memorial. She didn’t have the funds to bury her barber and I’m less than a day the funds were raised and 100% were given to the funeral home for the cremation. God bless you guys!!!!
I consider Alex Ramos to be a mentor, whose spiritual support was paramount to my recovery. Square Up is a bastion of hope for my community, and I know it will lead many others out of all forms of bondage!
It’s an honor to be apart of this organization. Alex has committed himself for years to the homeless and to see him now getting them into apartments and be able to feed up to 30 people a night is truly a blessing .This organization also helps others in the community as well .
Square up has been the LIGHT that Bpt has been needing for a while. I've seen countless HOT MEALS being served daily to homeless. But it doesn't stop there, square up then helps them get OFF the streets and sets them up with shelter and PURPOSE . I've witnessed homeless people get back into a home with furniture due to square up. I've never seen another ministry go the extra mile like this one!
