I came for a tour of the facility as a potential donor. I was very impressed with what I saw. A collection of volunteer doctors and dentists and other medical professionals providing health care to a very poor population that would have to use the Emergency Room if not for Caridad Center. Caridad Center is an amazing non-profit organization, that provides medical, prevention health education, social services, dental, mental health, and after-school program to the underserved families of Palm Beach. Everyone that, works or volunteers at Caridad Center feel welcome and it gives you a feeling of one big diverse family, we have amazing volunteer physicians and staff members that treat our patients and clients with so much love and kindness, I start it at Caridad Center eight years ago as a volunteer, and a month after I was offered a position, since then I understood that Caridad Center mission and vision has a very important purpose and we may not change the world but for sure we can change someone's world! I love my place of work, we are a great team all the way from, Founders, Donors, Board Members, Volunteers, Administrators, and Staff members!!!!
My experience dates back four years. I started in the Medical Clinic as an interpreter and switched to the Dental Clinic within the last 2 years. My duties involve preparing reports, and helping at the reception desk.
I had no previous dental experience but plenty of office experience. I enjoy working here at Caridad and learning something new every time I come. The staff has been very supportive and appreciative. This organization is very helpful in the community and a true blessing for those that have no other place to go.
Caridad is the safety net for our community members who have no health insurance. All are welcomed, all are given excellent professional medical care, and all are afforded the ancillary programs that go above and beyond the usual: chronic disease support, patient teaching, home visits, after school tutoring, shoes, backpacks, Christmas presents, and, above all, a warm smile.
My life changed when I started to work as volunteer in Caridad Center. This nonprofit organization gave me the opportunity to become CCHW (Certified Community Health Worker) and now I can help the community better.

I am a volunteer physician at Caridad. Everyone knows about the Clinic's mission to work for the people of Palm Beach County, but I didn't know about the breadth of services the organization provides until I started seeing patients there..
Need schools books? After school tutoring? Shoes? Social Work intervention? Obesity treatment? Mental Health intervention? All at Caridad.
There is also pro bono legal help for those in need.
However, it's the spirit of those who work at Caridad that is the engine of the center. Unfailingly helpful, interested and concerned. They go the extra mile with a natural grace and good humor.
It's a place we can all be proud of.
Caridad is a place where miracles happen every day! You feel the compassion when you enter the clinic. They use professional volunteers to serve the most vulnerable working poor and their families in Palm Beach County. Without Caridad they would not be able to access life-saving medical, dental, vision, and mental health care. Caridad also has an amazing after school program for children of immigrants and a social services department that helps families in need of emergency assistance such as food and help with electricity and housing. It has been a pillar hope in the community for nearly three decades.
Went to Caridad FREE Melanoma Clinic. The employees behaved as if they were unaware that they have a melanoma clinic. I arrived at 5:30 am for registration. There were many other people who arrived earlier than me. I waited my turn. They determined that I was eligible for care. They informed me that I would have to have a blood test in order to be seen by a doctor and it would cost $50.00. I do not have 50.00$. That is why I came to the "FREE" clinic. I don't need a blood test. Ihave a huge melanoma on my face that needs removal and care. I need help. They should not pretend to be a charitable organization when they don't help the needy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CARIDAD CENTER IN BOYNTON BEACH. THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU DIE! THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE.
Caridad is an extraordinary organization that is so much more than the largest provider of healthcare services to the uninsured and underinsured in Palm Beach County. It fills a critical need in our community and offers a variety of outreach programs that support healthy family growth, emergency aid for people in crisis situations, after-school help for at-risk students, and a generally improved life for those in need. It is an amazing and vital place.
I came to Caridad Center when I was a kid. my parents migrated to the US and Caridad Center was a place my mom sought healthcare and it was given to her.
I am now back myself, not to seek care for myself but as an employee.
It is great to be part of this Clinic that has given so much not only to my family when we needed, but to many other families in similar conditions to mine and worse.
Caridad Center's story is AMAZING!!! It is the largest free clinic in Florida that provides education, health, and social services to those who cannot access them anywhere else. Primarily known for its primary and specialty clinic, Caridad's After School Program for 1st and 2nd graders who are disadvantaged economically and culturally, help the children get a head start in school. They mostly come from families where parents are not able to help them with homework assignments because they have limited English or schooling themselves. Their Social Services Program provides hunger relief, prevents homelessness, and supports excellent students with college scholarships. The free Health Clinic has 18 different specialties in medical and free Dental services are unmatched in the community. It has a Vision Clinic with 9 volunteer ophthalmologists and a community network of vision specialists who provide surgeries. Caridad also has a Prevention, Education, and Training Program that identifies people with chronic conditions they don't know they have and get them into treatment early to prevent complications, reduce emergency room visits, and preventable hospitalizations. If you live in Palm Beach County and don't know about this nonprofit organization, you are missing out on many opportunities - to donate, to volunteer, to access services.

For every dollar we raise from private individuals like yourselves, we raise four more from foundations and agencies.
We also have over 400 doctors who volunteer their services for free and are passionate about it.
We have a free-standing building and so we pay no rent.
We are not subject to two of the more expensive costs of providing health care.
Last year we had over 26,000 patient visits for comprehensive health, dental and vision care.
Caridad Center offers many levels of care that give answers, hope and solutions. They have a medical, dental, vision, mental health, social services, after school program, chronic disease management, prevention and education. Caridad is a charity a donor can be proud to be a part of. It is a place that on any given day you can see where your dollars are going. You can follow the cases and see the results. Caridad is the charity that makes a difference for so many and at the same time saves our taxpayers money annually.
Caridad Center is one of the most outstanding non-profits in Florida! They provide medical and dental care to people who would not otherwise be able to receive treatment and would suffer. The doctors and dentists that volunteer their time at Caridad are incredible human beings!
