I volunteer with another abortion fund that collaborates with NRAAF to help patients fund their procedure. NRAAF has always been responsive and helpful and they are an asset to all Virginians and people who travel to Virginia for abortion care.
Committed, passionate people work at New River-- from the board, to the amazing staff to my fellow volunteers, all knock themselves out to help keep abortion care safe and accessible. It's a privilege to volunteer here.

My experience with NRAAF is as a donor and volunteer. The board is so passionate and compassionate about this work. This fund fills a huge need in southwestern Virginia, and their aid spreads across the state. NRAAF has been able to make a huge difference by subsidizing a gap in women's healthcare that our health insurance should really be covering.
I've been with NRAAF for over 2 years now, starting as a volunteer, then a board member, and now also an employee. It has been amazing to be involved as the fund has grown and changed to better support the needs of our callers in an ever-changing and difficult abortion access landscape. Proud to be part of this organization and excited for its future!

The work performed by this non-profit is critical. The right to abortion should not be contingent on one's income - everyone has the legal right to abortion and NRAAF makes this a practical right as well, which might not otherwise be the case for the women it serves.
