Nomad Charities is a successful non profit because of the dedication and passion of its founders (twin sisters) Jenn and Janette. This Oregon-based nonprofit works in Kibwezi, Kenya, and provides housing and food to orphans, some of whom were diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Not only does Gail's House provide medicine and shelter, it gives young women and girls security and opportunity to attend school and build a future. Over the past month, Jenn has worked diligently to build a chicken coop, start a vegetable garden and get the talapia farm up and running - but the work is never done. Nomad is a collaborative and both of the sisters are open and willing to seek new partnerships, not only from the local Bend community, but nationwide and internationally as well.
Nomad hopes to expand its number of female residents and include a mobile medical unit in the upcoming year.
Nomad works because its founders are ubiquitous in their dedication and commitment to making a difference in rural Kenya. Please join their cause and help a child have a future they never imagined possible.
