Kee to Independent Growth and Nicole Macelli have given my nephew support and care over the past few years. They help him to work toward achieving his goal to live as independently as possible. He has worked on coping mechanisms, with Nicole's guidance, and I know she is there for anything he needs.
This is the most phenomenal day program!!! We do quite a few activities that support or buildup areas that we are cognitively having a hard time with. We have quite a few groupmates so we build the ability to tolerate different kinds of people. Our program leaders are fantastic. Brett, Alina & Jen are their names and they help us every day. We go out into the community regularly to places like restaurants, animal sanctuaries & quite a few more. We volunteer as well. The lady who began this program has a daughter that suffered from a TBI so she runs the program with her heart and knowledge. I recommend it to anybody who has suffered with a TBI, dementia or anything else health related!! 5 *’s for sure!!

There is not enough time I'm this lifetime to thank my worker, Beatriz. She has found me doctors, specialist, and even took me to the appointments when I needed the support. Every Christmas she has blessed my grandchildren with gifts, I now have thanksgiving meals delivered to my home for me and my grandchildren every year. She has advocated for me at the department of social services, and I have never gone without my snap benefit's. When the snap was not enough, she advocated for united health care medicare part d and now I receive $200.00 more a month that I can spend on food or pay my nymo bill monthly. When she is on vacation, she always leaves a backup service coordinator just in case I need anything. Durning covid 19 she always brought me bags of food, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. kee To ndependent growth just blessed me with a laptop and now I can do my food shopping online. She always ends our meetings with thank you for allowing me in your home and thank you for meeting with me. That means so much to me and my family. If she only knew how much she means to me and my family. what more can I say but thank you kee to independent growth for hiring great caring people.
Nicole came to us when my daughter came home from 5 months in rehab trying to recover from a severe TBI. In the beginning it was me translating.she has been such a support not only to Kylie but to our whole family! We are heading into year 3 of therapy .. year4 of the accident and it has been a savior! Nothing but great things! Keeping our girl and family healthy
I started using the services Kee offers about two months after I got home from the rehab center I was in which was in June of 2020. Nicole is the therapist that I see and I have to say that she is absolutely amazing and has really helped me. She not only is my therapist but my friend now as well but still knows where to draw the line between being my friend and my therapist.
People go there and the workers don't do anything. make promises can't keep. Lie about what they can do and try to blame other people when they mess up. Run by people with no education. Do NOT go there or pick them for anything.
I have worked with Kee for about 3 years as an affiliate within our social service field. I find all the employees work as a team to get the requests completed. It may be paperwork or a task but it always gets done in a timely manner! This certainly makes my life easier!
For years I have struggled with various physical and mental health issues and chose to self medicate with alcohol. Since moving back to the Albany area, I have been connected with several good organizations looking to help support people in their journey to a better life. Kee to Independent Growth is one of the best. From the beginning, as I talked to Amy to get me signed into the program to the twice-weekly conversations with Grace, I have felt nothing but love and support. Having the opportunity in a safe setting to tell them what I am feeling and getting good feedback has helped me take steps that seemed impossible for a long time. I would highly recommend this organization to anyone who is honestly looking for a change and who is willing to put in the work necessary to support that change.
I’ve been a client for many years now. I can’t express my gratitude for the help the workers have given! They even brought me food when I had no money, no access to food banks, and no food stamps left! They also made sure I was safe and warm when I ran out of my HEAP benefit! These are what make great agencies! Going above and beyond what is expected to what is NEEDED!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
