Results: Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency has had many achievements throughout its history such as starting new programs that were so successful they became self-sufficient organizations. For example, the Agency ran a housing program in the early 1970’s that evolved into Cayuga County Homsite Development Corporation, a Rural Preservation Company, which provides safe, decent and affordable housing for very low to moderate income families. It also helped start the local Big Brothers Big Sisters and the community health clinic that became East Hill Family Medical. In addition to the ongoing process of identifying and meeting immediate community needs, the Agency is very proud to share the following achievements:
1. Created innovative programs to meet the community’s growing needs: green jobs training, asset
development, and transportation case management.
2. Implemented successful, evidence-based programs such as Healthy Families and Early Head Start and expanded successful programs such as Head Start.

I have been sitting at the CSCAA site on Thursdays for the last year and a half. I have gotten to know the people at Site 2 quite well. I have witnessed first hand the amazing work they do and the quality of service they provide to the individuals and families they serve. I am proud to say that my organization partners with them and they truly share our mission of providing dignified service to those in need. It's also reassuring to me that I have them as a referral source in my daily employment when I come across families that can benefit from the kind and caring family workers at CSCAA. Keep up the GREAT work!!!!!
