They gave me a second chance in life. When I was released I had no one to turn to for help and then I found Golden Rule. They took me in and treated me like family. They gave me the support and direction I needed to get my life back on track. I have nothing but love and gratitude for all they have done for me, and i believe it's noble cause that is invaluable to our community. I hope the best for all the people like me that they will help
I've recently got release from prison after doing 10 1/2 years it's been challenging with everything changing over a decade. I am grateful that my PO refer me to Abby from GRR she has been such a blessing to me and has helped me every step of the way with networking and any kind of resource I may need to integrate back to society. Thank you GRR!
Abby has been the most helpful of any organization we've contacted about our friend who is trying to find help and housing as a blind inmate. She has gone above and beyond to contact the right people to get answers and help. Would have been severely without her help.

Everybody wants lower levels of recidivism in the criminal justice system but there are very few ways to enact change. Golden Rule Reentry is a great non profit that has a variety of services for formerly incarcerated persons to help get back on their feet by helping them find work, heal from trauma, network, and help them access the often times complex network of resources out there. This non profit does great work and is a tremendous asset to our community.
Golden Rule is an amazing program to help people have value in their lives again. The continual support, resources and friendship allows people to recover and be productive. Allow people to have pride in who they are again. Amazing people doing amazing work for the good of all society.
My son was released from a long federal sentence a couple of years ago, and I was struggling to know how to help him adjust to the “outside world.” Golden Rule Reentry helped immensely. I had someone to talk to who cared not only about my son but about my struggles. In the last two years, my son has had some good progress and some setbacks, but Golden Rule has always been there for him and for me. I especially appreciate the weekly support group Zoom sessions where I can check in and explain what’s going on and listen to people who are going through some of the same issues that I am.
We are SO excited to be working with Golden Rule Reentry because they have a strategic plan to help the formerly incarcerated with trauma-informed interventions and very life-skill oriented, practical interventions to get them on solid ground. This solid ground will help them to build a new life as a new self, incorporating the wisdom of their past experiences and reaching new levels of capacity, connection and health. We love GRR's model because it supports people as whole beings that are precious and valuable. We are providing neurofeedback services to these inspiring people to help heal and integrate trauma from early life events as well as the dehumanizing effects of incarceration. We are honored to be a part of the GRR team.

Abby who is the founder of Golden Rule Reentry does a phenomenal job at making sure that prisoners have the support and resources they need to get back on their feet. She’s an incredible person who is incredibly passionate for her work and for the community she serves!!
I absolutely love Golden Rule. When I first moved here I was connected with Golden Rule and met Abby and from there she helped me find housing. Helped me get on my feet. Took me to appointments and places to apply for housing. She connected me with other agency which helped me out with rent and deposits. She would take me once a week to do laundry. This Organization is the best. It's my go to for anything and everything. If your just getting out or getting on your feet or just don't know what to do. This is the place to call.
I have consulted with Abby and found her commitment to coach, train, and guide individuals reentering mainstream life one of angelic proportions. She has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to uplift people in this temporary circumstance to see that which enlists hope, direction, and optimism. Those who are fortunate enough to work with Abby will find her generosity of time, heart, and spirit profound and immeasurably beneficial.

Golden Rule Reentry is the real deal. Abby’s vision of helping people that have been incarcerated get back into the “real” world is phenomenal. I look forward to working with her more and volunteering my time to this most needed cause.
As a formerly incarcerated person, I know the importance of being trauma informed for any organization working with the universally traumatized population of the formerly incarcerated. Golden Rule Reentry doesn't just talk the talk as is all too common today, but also truly walks the walk as well. As a volunteer with a lifetime of experience working with non profit I very much appreciate and recognize the value of GRR's emphasis on community engagement. Golden Rule Reentry is badly needed and it's services greatly appreciated in our community.
