Growls and Howls is such a great rescue to work with. Lauren always keeps the best interest of each animal in her heart as she navigates finding them their forever homes. My experience on the board has been nothing but positive as the communication is always clear and punctual for all matters that concern the other members. All in all I cannot recommend working with Growls and Howls enough and consider myself extremely fortunate to be involved with operations.
This a great animal rescue. They helped foster about 10 animals last year who were in kill shelters. Animals that are adopted, the rescue continues to help with vet bills. A great animal rescue in Cleveland.

Growls and Howls Animal Rescue really cares for all the animals. They never give up on them. Even if the animal is in the rescue for 3 days or 350 days, they take the time to find the perfect forever home for each animal.
Lauren and the team at Growls and Howls are dedicated to their mission of rescuing and rehoming animals in need. The medical needs and well-being of the animals are always the first priorities, along with identifying and placing these animals with adequate foster families. This is a fantastic rescue. They are a fairly new rescue but have accomplished a lot in the short time that they have been active. They have helped pets that needed surgery and would not have been adopted if they had not gotten the surgery. They have found homes for animals that if they had been left at other rescues would have been put down. Congratulations Lauren Mowles and the rest of her team for the amazing work that you do.

My husband and I decided to work with Growls and Howls with fostering a dog. Our experience with the rescue was wonderful and we ended up deciding to adopt our sweet girl! Growls and Howls was there to answer all of our questions and help with anything we needed while we were fostering. They do anything they can to make sure the animals they encounter are taken care of and have everything they need. I would 100% recommend this rescue.
Growls and Howls was amazing to work with. I fostered a kitten through them and they made the process super easy. They made sure I had whatever supplies I needed and also helped me set up vet appointments for times that worked the best with my schedule. I would definitely foster again through this rescue.
My 74yo grandmother had to put her dog down in July 2021. When she was ready to bring another one to love in her home, I immediately contacted Growls and Howels. We had very specific qualifications including rescue,breed preference, age, and temperament. It took a few months, but Lauren never gave up hope, and on February 10, 2022, we got a call saying she found the perfect fit for her home. We picked the dog up the next day, and it was love at first sight. My grandma couldn't be happier with her dog (name is to be determined), and I will absolutely tell EVERYONE who wants to add a furbaby to their home to talk to Lauren and her team. Thank you again, so much.
Worked as a volunteer for a few events! Everything was incredible! Everyone had great attitudes and you could tell they loved what they were doing. Growls and Howls is the best!!

I have worked with this rescue as a volunteer and have thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. They have not only gone out of their to find animals their furever homes, they have helped other rescues as well by helping to not only find homes for the other rescues but also helping to pay for needed sugeries for these other rescues's animals.

This non profit goes above and beyond to make sure you know what kind of animal you will be receiving. Even if you live miles away this non profit works with your schedule to accommodate your needs to find that perfect howler or growler!
I can tell you from my experience that you have to act on meeting these wonderful pups! I waited too long to make a decision on one pup that already had multiple people wanting him.
All in all this nonprofit organization cares about your experience and follows up even after a let down :) communication is key in everything you do and I can say growls and howls nonprofit supports you every step of the way!
