I started with YCT in June 2010, on a Sunday, after receiving my first chemo treatment on Thursday, for stage 3 breast cancer in my left breast that had spread to the lymph nodes under my left arm. I was so blessed to have gone through the program for a whole year, the entire length of my treatment, which lessened the side effects of the treatment and allowed my to go through a very difficult experience with joy and complete acceptance in my loving YCT family community. I grabbed hold of all the modalities available, acupuncture, reflexology, aromatherapy, nutritional support. I continued partaking of the services and added tapping, reiki, and sound therapy to my roster. It even helped the lymphedema in my left arm. I cannot state enough the importance for breast cancer patients to have a sacred space in which we can regroup our minds, bodies, and spirits around thriving, however that may look for each individual. At YCT, you are cared for, accepted, loved,. They share your ups and downs, highs and lows, laughter and tears, all without judgement allowing you to share without fear of reprisal or rejection. I am proud to be a part of this community, I am in awe of their generosity of time and spirit, and I have been humbled for 14 years by their unwavering support during my journey. The cancer returned in 2017 going to stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in the bone and once again I am utilizing this wonderful resource to thrive as I have been on chemo, every 3 weeks, for the past 7 years and counting. Please do all you can to support this organization, time, money, resources, your winning personalities, because everything you do makes a tremendous impact on the lives of those who may need just a little help to see the thriving side of survivorship, like me. Thank you, YCT family, I am genuinely grateful for you, your sacrifices through the years, and your matchless grace in welcoming me and so many others into the embrace of thriving. I truly would not still be here without you.

This is a group of amazing women and men who have dedicated so much time in our community to support women with cancer! I first met their ED in our office, and she was radiating love and kindness. You can tell from the minute you begin speaking to her, how passionate she is about supporting and authentically helping women with cancer.

I have been treating women with breast cancer for many years and I have always felt lucky to have a great resource like You Can Thrive! in nyc. All of my patients who have been there have found it to be an open, non-judgmental, supportive organization. Ms. DeAngelis is truly dedicated to helping others in any way that she can.
