When I moved to Silver Spring in 2001, I was looking for a place that provided food security and clothing to those most in need in my new community. What I discovered was a place that provides even more - Shepherd's Table serves its dinner guests and clients with dignity, compassion and dependability. Shepherd's Table will lunch a weekend brunch service on December 16, 2012, marking the countdown to the 30th anniversary.
When I moved to Silver Spring in 2000, I sought out a place that helped people needing a hand out and a hand up. Shepherd's Table, now for more than 27 years has been fulfilling that need - providing a delicious and healthy meal every single day, clothing closet, referrals to shelters and social services, a shower, eye clinic, Rx referral and all with dignity.
