Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animal-Related, Animals, Veterinary Services
Mission: To provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners and to find new homes for these animals once they have recovered.
Programs: Shelter operations/adoptions: animals are brought into shelter, injured, abused, abandoned: we take care of their medical, surgical, all health issues and give them love and warmth, food and take care of their daily needs. When they are healthy enough then we find them new forever homes. In addition, we hold mobile adoptions at different sites, fairs, and festivals.
veterinary clinic: takes care of medical/surgical needs at the shelter, does all of our spays and neuters, and is open to the public to provide low-cost animal care. This benefits our community.
outreach program: maxfund administers a community-wide, and state-wide spay/neuter program for low-income pet owners, traveling the state of colorado to rural areas to administer spay/neuter, vaccinations, and other minor services at no charge to people who cannot afford services.
Max Fund is the ultimate "shelter" because they never give up on any animal. All are treated equal in the eyes of this incredible organization and they live the vision I hold in my heart for all living things: That each deserves an equal chance to be loved and cared for. I will donate to Max Fund every time I have the opportunity because I so believe in what they are doing.
