I had the best experience at the Swan Center. Ashely and Pana are so knowledgeable and kind hearted. I appreciate the time they took to teach me how to work with the horses and answer all my random questions. I also loved hearing the beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking stories of where the horses came from and how they found the Swan Center. It’s amazing to know they are all loved and well cared for now. I highly recommend volunteering at the Swan Center! You’ll enjoy the fresh air, gorgeous views and priceless one on one time with these magestic horses. Thank you Swan Center!
Swan Center Outreach is wonderful! I have a chronic illness and it has been part of my healing path! I live closeby and found the Center by chance through a friend who volunteers there. It's just so peaceful and helpful to be out in the sunshine on the beautiful ranch with the horses. Everyone is supportive and great there also. I feel better when I go and I think it's an invaluable place for many people in various stages and forms of the healing and recovery.
This organization is taking the horses out of Summit County and breaking children's hearts without regard to anyone's feelings. Do not support this organization.

Rose Longhill had to leave Summit County suddenly, in the summer of 2014, to stay with her daughter in California, due to high altitude issues, compounded by the fact that she has Multiple Sclerosis. John Longhill was executive director of Outreach, and remained in Summit County with the Outreach horses, where he oversaw operations, until he resigned in September of 2015. John filed for a divorce from Rose in the same month. He later notified the Outreach Board of Directors that the horses needed to be removed from the ranch he leased, by January of 2016. The Board decided to move the horses to California, so Rose could oversee their care. John is still living in Summit County, and has a horse rescue of his own at the same location.

I had a great opportunity to see this organization function at its best. The people were kind, caring, and always ready to do what was best for the animals in their care. I was able to get some great photos of the animals and staff. It was personally rewarding as well as seeing the good to the community. Anyone who is in the area would feel they are contributing to the greater good by volunteering or donating money.
