They lie about being at capacity and only care about making money not the animals health. The google reviews do a great job illustrating their flaws.

A little over a year ago my husband and I walked in to learn more about fostering. We fell in love with Sasha, a lab/pit mix, and brought her home the same day. We were given food, blankets, a cage, and a baby gate. They also gave a list of free classes they offer for foster dogs, including one where they just learn to socialize with other puppies. The first two to three weeks were very difficult, but soon she became part of the family. We ended up adopting her.
I host a Public Affairs show on WIL in St. Louis & I had Randy Grim, the Founder of Stray Rescue of St. Louis in as a guest & his passion couldn't be concealed. Randy came in after their recent distemper outbreak so he still had a lot of healing to do from losing about 50 dogs in the shelter. Things are better, he gave great updates on an organization that is so much more than just rescues! Stray Rescue is community driven & has a lot of programs that people would never dream existed within that organization. This one is truly tops with me!
St. Louis stray rescue does a wonderful job of running a stray rescue in an area that has a lot of strays. Also, based on their tax returns and other reports, they do a fine job of running the business side of things.
It's hard to understand why no posting has occurred for so long - but they are a great group.
