Smart Kids with LD is the only organization of its kind in our area. It is an invaluable resource in our community for information for parents and children about how to navigate the IEP process, get cutting-edge info on ADHD and dyslexia and access specialists in our area. The organization raises awareness about learning disabilities and has proved to be a place I can go to in order to better understand my own daughter with dyslexia and get her the best help possible.

This is a fabulous nonprofit. I am a professional in the field - a teacher first, and then an educational consultant working with LD students. Additionally, I was a volunteer and am currently on the professional advisory board. This organization informs and educates parents hungry for ways to understand their children's learning profile through an online presence and through workshops, lectures, informal chats, and answering questions directly through the website and privately. It honors and supports LD students who have shown their exceptional abilities at the Annual Gala. It works to educate parents with experts in the field. All of the above is done with expertise and empathy and parents are grateful when they discover this amazing resource. As am I.

Warm, intelligent advice for parents, most resources are online so really easy to access and super easy to understand. The in person programs have been so helpful - I meet parents, educators, and school administrators at them. The annual Walk really unites the local community in a beautiful way. I became involved after receiving incredible help as a parent of a smart kid with learning disabilities.

Fantastic organization. Runs invaluable programs to help children with learning differences succeed by educating and empowering their families. Also runs the Youth Achievement Awards to recognize young people who have overcome challenges and achieved success, in order to inspire others to believe in themselves.

Smart Kids provides an amazing amount of free support despite having limited resources. They provide a critical link to needed information for parents of children with learning challenges. They also provide great motivation by highlighting the successes and strengths of so many kids with learning disabilities. Love this organization!

As a parent of a son w/ dyslexia and add, I was glad to be introduced to smart kids by a friend and am now on their board. The SKLD web site and articles are so informative. I have referred many other friends to the web site and they often say how grateful they are and how helpful the site is.

Through Smart Kids, I have had the pleasure of meeting terrific parents from CT and NY who have given me great advice. Smart Kids has change the world for parents and their children by raising awareness on learning disabilities. The news letter/website is insightful, timely, and well researched. I love the local educational programs with gifted experts in their fields of study. Smart Kids is a great organization, which I am so very proud to be a part. After all, it takes a community to raise a child; Smart Kids has been my community.

I turned to Smart Kids when I needed guidance for my child who was just diagnosed with learning disabilities and was struggling in school. Smart Kids was the resource I needed as a parent. The newsletter is an invaluable tool to help parents learn about their child's difficulties and get them the help they need. It also addresses the social aspects of learning disabilities. Smart Kids taught me to celebrate this very gifted and unique child who has overcome so much to succeed. Joining Smart Kids was the first step in securing my son's future.
