The Spinal Cord Injury Research Project at Rutgers University at the Keck Center has provided hope and tangible assistance to a widespread group of both the Spinal Cord injured individuals as well as their families. We are members and recipients of this group that deals with the burdens of an abominable condition for which this project has worked to find treatment and cures. Dr. Wise Young, Patricia Morton and the group at the Keck center are dedicated to this cause and are researchers of the highest ethical standards . One day my son, who is a C4 quadraplegic due to an ocean swimming accident, will benefit from their work- currently in the realm of Umbilical cord blood and lithium studies that have translated to clinical research. Through information provided through the media, written word and Open Houses at the Keck Center, we have learned of current work in the area of SCI research and of the generosity of researchers to share their work and information together for the better good of SCI individuals. We thank them for their immense contribution to this science and for their ongoing work. The Gurgui family
