Through RedRover Responders, we shelter and care for animals displaced by natural disasters and other crises, such as criminal seizures and hoarding cases. The RedRover Readers program helps children explore the bond between people and animals through stories and discussion. Volunteers visit elementary school classrooms, after-school programs, animal shelters and other venues to read to children and lead discussions -- helping children develop critical thinking skills and empathy.

RedRover Relief was able to fund shelter/boarding services for two animals for a survivor residing in our emergency shelter. Due to this amazing service provided to this survivor, she was able to avoid going to the house to check on them, keep them out of harm's way from the abuser, and shut off communication with him she had to have in order to learn of the safety of her animals. Once this barrier was overcome with the assistance from RedRover, she was even more able to focus on her goals of employment and safe housing. She did achieve these goals and the animals were able to transition from the safe boarding RedRover provided, to permanent and safe housing with the survivor. The process was so efficient, supportive and involved. The work done by the staff concerning communication with the survivor, our advocates and the veterinarian clinic was beyond impressive and appreciated. RedRover went above and beyond what we ever could have asked for in housing these animals for the safety and security of both them and the survivor. The survivor, our advocates, and our agency as a whole is so thankful for all of the support and assistance!

I work for a domestic violence agency in TX and red rover has been awesome for our clients with pets who are fleeing their abuser. Most recently they assisted a client of mine with a $410 kennel/vet bill. This was a huge relief to her, as she had no way to pay for her 2 dogs' care and couldn't keep them with her during her stay with us. Red Rover responded quickly to her needs and have been nothing but friendly and helpful to me as her case manager. I appreciate everything they do!

I am a case worker at the Family Violence Center in Birmingham, AL. I have used Red Rover twice for two of my clients. Each time, they have made this a smooth transaction not only for the client but also for me. This has often been a need that we have had difficulty fulfilling but with the assistance of Red Rover we have had clients leave abusive situations knowing that their beloved pets would be secure and safe. The client that Red Rover assisted with this time was from a rural area of Alabama and would not leave without her dog. She wanted to relocate out of the state to be closer to family support system. Red Rover was able to provide financial assistance so the client and I could secure resources for client to relocate. Client was able to rest knowing that her pet was being taken care of at a nearby pet clinic. Client and dog are know safe with family outside of the area. Thank you so much to Red Rover and specifically to Esperanza who assisted me with this process.

If you are considering making a donation to a pet agency, we strongly recommend RedRover! Thanks to their financial assistance, we were able to assist a victim of Domestic Violence and her pet escape an abusive situation. Unfortunately, our agency doesn't have the funds to assist pets, but THANKS to RedRover’s financial assistance our client's pet was able to go to a safe place while we worked with our client. The staff at RedRover is friendly, fast and considerate. Great work, Redrover!
