PTV is a non-profit organization whose mission is to alleviate the suffering and health consequences of torture through psychological, medical, legal, and case management services to victims of state-sponsored torture.
After receiving services from PTV, our research shows that clients improve their mental and physical health, are able to re-enter society and the workforce, and participate more in their local communities.
PTV alleviates the suffering and health consequences of state-sponsored torture among refugees and asylum-seekers in the greater Los Angeles area. The organization has helped rebuild the lives of thousands of torture survivors from over 65 nations.

PTV has given me a tremendous support since i arrived from Africa in 2002. My life has changed because of the staff and their generous assistance with my health, ESL, housing and meeting new friends.

I have my dignity back. I have my life back. I was granted asylum because of PTV's resources and generosity. The BEST NEWS is that my children are coming to live with me very soon!
