I was asked one day if I wanted to lead a chapter for VansForvets.org. An amazing man, Dr. Joseph A. Resnick, called me personally! I knew of this outstanding organization through a friend of mine , Keith Regan. Some time had passed with little communication. When Dr. Resnick expressed his interest in me, I was miffed! Why me, I asked myself. Dr. Resnick gave me encouragement and guidance on my new endeavor with VansForVets.org. Since my time as Chapter President for the " Brown/Elmore Chapter, miraculous things began to happen in my life. Doors began to open for me, meeting wonderful people and interacting with them! This is a true blessing ! Thank you Dr. Resnick for this awesome opportunity. You are a man of great love and spirit. It was a good experience. I got a lot of good advice and help and I might even have a new job because they referred me. Overall great experience.
I found them on the internet and I'm glad I did. When I came back to PA from the war I didn't know my wife had left me and took our baby. I didn't expect to be treated so good by people I didn't even know. Vans For Vets helped me get stabilized and gave me a job fixing some vans and 3 cars. It was enough money to buy some second hand civies and they gave me an old Ford Tempo. I'm still driving it but I didn't think it would make the trip back to Macon. It did and gas was cheap. I only spended 60 bucks for gas.
A friend told me about VansForVets when I was staying at the 286 Center. I contact them and was invited to visit. I had a good visit and what really impressed me was how concerned they were for me and my situation. They helped me in more ways than I can say. My experience was Delta-Tango!
