I’ve been volunteering with Pet Project for about 18 years, assisting with public outreach email campaigns, events. From the moment I encountered the organization and its Executive Director, Sue Martino, I was captivated by their incredible work. Over the years, I’ve witnessed countless furry lives saved and adoptions facilitated through Pet Project’s programs, benefiting both animals and their humans. I am immensely proud to contribute in any way I can, and my heart soars every time I hear about another human-animal bond preserved or newly formed through a Pet Project initiative.

I have been volunteering with Pet Project for about 15 years now, helping with public outreach email campaigns, preparing event artwork, and handling many technical aspects of the operation due to my tech background. As soon as I first came across the company and it's Executive Director Sue Martino, my heart was captured by all the fantastic work that they do for our furry family members in those families that are truly in need. Through all those years, I have seen countless lives spared through the Pet Project programs, and countless adoptions, that saved both our furry friends and the families they are a part of. I am very proud to be able to contribute in any level, and my heart is elated every single time I hear of another human-animal bond that has been kept alive (or created anew) due to a Pet Project program.
As both a donor and volunteer it has been my joy to support this most worthy charity.
Its purpose of helping both people and pets resonates with me and consistently provides all of those involved with pet project a true blessing. I cannot say enough good about this organization.

It is a well run, efficient organization and deserves any assistance available.
I have named them as a recipient for a small fund raising event I am coordinating.
The Pet Project is an amazing nonprofit. They are always there to help! I have donated for years and to hear the stories where they have helped pets stay in the homes with the owners always heals my heart. Great job guys. Keep up the great work.

The Pet Project is an amazing organization. We support them every chance we get. And Sue works tirelessly to promote their cause!!
They have always provided great support for the pets in our area. We are fortunate to have them. Well done!
This nonprofit warms the deepest fibers of my heart. The funds go to people who have found themselves with one of the hardest decisions Life can bring. When illness falls or loss of your job or even aging would not allow you to take care of your beloved pet companion The Pet Project is available.
There is no other safety net that I know of and no one charity more deserving!
Events are held for fundraising that I have taken part. They bring a sense of comraderie and purpose to like minded people while having fun!
Pet Project is a wonderful community service organization which enables those of limited means to maintain a pet. Everyone knows the benefits animals bring to our lives, for joy and companionship and emotional support.
During these unusually difficult times the Pet Project is increasingly important. AND... their thrift shop is hugely successful in helping recycle furnishings and household items that many otherwise could not afford.
We donate many items to Pet Project and we will continue to support them through contributions, as well.
Pet Project for Pets is an organization that is very close to my heart. They have once clear mission, that they have not strayed from, is to take care of your voiceless companions who are a great source of comfort in your life, and to make sure they can be with you when you need them the most. It is a small group that works tirelessly to achieve this goal. Recently they have expanded into a Pet Legacy program and also adult pet adoption.
It is an amazing organization that could use some help from you.
This amazing organization works tirelessly to keep over 1500 pets and their disabled or elderly owners together by providing pet food, pet supplies, and annual vaccinations to qualified clients. As the Rescue Bank distributor, Pet Project also stores and supplies 501(c)3 rescue organizations with pet food and supplies donated through GreaterGood.org.
The Pet Project keeps these animals from being surrendered to shelters where the pet is unlikely to find a new home and is more likely to be euthanized.
On August 17, 2019, Sue Martino, Pet Project’s Executive Director, actively participated in the annual “Clear the Shelters” event and launched her creative--and highly successful--pilot program in collaboration with the county animal shelter which has resulted in older dogs finding homes. Since August 17th, this “Senior Paws” program has already gotten eight senior dogs adopted.
As another example of the extraordinary contribution of time and manpower, after Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas, Pet Project's dedicated team immediately went into "overdrive." They accepted goods, loaded those goods, drove them to the airport where the goods were unloaded, weighed, and loaded onto aircraft so Wings of Rescue and IAFW could transport the animal welfare supplies to the islands. The team performed these steps up to 3 times a day during the height of the relief effort, which continues still.
The Pet Project team of staff and volunteers play a critical role in animal welfare and they readily encourage and support other rescue groups’ efforts as well.
The Pet Project for pets provides a most valuable service. It keeps pets with their owners when the owners can no longer handle the financial responsibilities of caring for a pet, thereby keeping the pets out of a shelter. So many of these pets are old and would be euthanized. In this time of overflowing pet shelters, every animal that can be kept in a home gives another a chance. And in the end, when you are gone, The Pet Project for Pets has set up a Legacy Program which will take care of your pet after your death and find a new permanent home for your pet. The pet will be looked after until the end of it's life.
The Pet Project for Pets is a wonderful organization that makes possible for thousands of animals to have a home by helping those who cannot afford basic supplies, but are willing to help and protect animals that need help!
Way to go wonderful people!!
A great organization, that provides an essential and crucial service for people and pets within Broward County. Their work is a labor of love.
I first hand have seen many clients of The Pet Project receive food that they desperately needed to feed their animals. The Pet Project fills a void that is much needed in south Florida. I see the money I donate help keep pets at home with their loving owners and out of shelters.
I love the work the Pet Project for Pets does, their dedicated volunteers provide much needed food and supplies for pet owners who qualify due to health issues or having fallen on hard times. The pets and the owners benefit physically, mentally and spiritually. The well loved animals are kept healthy and happy, which in turn benefits their human friends.
They often get calls to save animals in distress situations. They find foster homes and save animals everyday. All of the folks I met who work with the Pet Project are kind and knowledgeable. I support them fully and donate funds when ever I can.

We have donated to pet Project for Pets and are very happy with seeing our money put to goods use.
Those who are homebound or suffering with HIV need the support this non-profit offers, pet food is paid for, vet bills are taken care of and most importantly pets are kept with the owners they know and love and NOT put into shelters simply because a loving owner is struggling. That this is a benefit to their clients health and well being is a fact that is not stressed enough. With the tough economy that we have had, many more families have had the need for services and the folks who work and volunteer at The Pet Project for Pets really care and are willing to do what it takes to keep pets with those who love and cherish them. A one of a kind, great organization! Keep up the good work!
Review from Guidestar
The Pet Project is an amazing non-profit organization that provides whatever is needed to keep companion animals in their homes. I first learned about Pet Project through Mike Camardello, who is now on the Board. I have donated many items of clothing, furniture and money to help my favorite charity. Being an animal advocate, I am so proud of Mike, the other board members whose names I don't know, Sue, and the many great volunteers that give of themselves to help animals. God Bless the Pet Project for Pets! They also provide pick-up for very large items.
Thank you for the kind, efficient, and effective services you provide. Thank you for keeping the bond between pets and owners strong! Please continue to let the community know how to help keep supporting this nonprofit!

I donate to Pet Project for Pets often as I believe in this organization's ability to help the community. I encourage others to donate what they can to this organization as well. Keeping the bond between pet owners and pets is something the Pet Project for Pets continues to spread education about and continues to promote. Thank you Pet Project for all that you do!
After learning about the great work the Pets project does for needy people in our community, I decided to turn my annual pool party into a fundraiser. We're on our 3rd year and keep raising more money each time. Sue, the director, makes it supper easy with promotional material. I was given a nice letter perfect for use as an IRS receipt. Don't hesitate to get involved with this great charity.
