Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: We take dogs on death row who have no other option but euthanasia. We spay/neuter and do any vet work needed before finding loving lifelong homes. We have a tough screening process to make sure dog and family will be happy with each other. Educate the public about the importance of S/N and pay for spay/neuter in dogs owners cannot afford.

Such dedication and selflessness the dogs are loved while waiting and fully vetted. All rescues should learn from this dedicated team who rescue for the dogs.

Kim & Sunshine are true angels here on earth! They have helped me and my small Rescue save so many lives. They don’t pick and choose, they have helped me save sick/injured dogs, puppies with no momma, seniors, all lives matter to them. I absolutely love working with these 2 ladies and visiting with them when I transport there. This by far is the best Rescue I have worked with in the 5 years I been rescuing! I can never thank them enough for all they have done for me and my rescue!

I've adopted 3 pugs from OK Save A Dog and I can say that these people are by far the most caring, compassionate and selfless dog rescuers I've ever known. They are never off-duty and everything they do is for and about the dogs (and whatever else happens to land in the rescue). I feel lucky to have found them and include them as part of my life.

Kim and all the OK Save A Dog volunteers do a wonderful job at saving countless lives of animals by taking them in regardless of the challenges and finding them loving homes. Lots of rescues rehome shelter dogs but OK Save A Dog takes the time to find them loving homes that are the right fit for the animal and the adopters.
