Miracles in Action started with a dream that all kids in Guatemala would have the basics--a school to learn from and the right food to eat. Miracles has built nearly 60 schools in Guatemala, distributed thousands of water filters, farm animals and packets of school supplies, and helped Mayan artisans create products that Miracles in Action buys at fair trade prices and sells in the US. But given Miracles in Action's dream, the work hasn't stopped there. They have also found some of the highest impact startup projects on nutrition in Guatemala and supported them. From healthy snacks being sold in stores, materials to support the use of native plants like Chaya, to supporting producing and selling more nutritious corn seeds (super corn), Miracles in Action has been at the forefront of making a major difference in Guatemala.
For many years Penny, and Miracles in Action, have been wonderful supporters of Limitless Horizons Ixil. The support we have received for our Saber Sin Limites (Limitless Knowledge) Community Library has opened the door to 100’s of community members since 2010. MIA has done such great things supporting improvements in areas of health, education, and agriculture. We are honored to have them as partners.

Miracles in Action is a supporter of the work that we do on the ground in Guatemala and through their organization, many young people have been empowered to stand-up and become change-makers within their communities, working together towards a more sustainable future. I have also seen the impact that Miracle's other projects - particularly around innovative approaches to nutrition, sustainable agriculture and their fair-trade support of the cottage industry - are really changing peoples lives.
