Mission: Mobilising young leaders towards ensuring equitable outcomes for children born into poverty though empowering the child, improving the ecosystem & enabling the sector.
Results: MAD did a baseline study on adults who had lived in Child Care Institutes (CCIs) and did not receive any additional support. The baseline study showed that, of the children who grow up in CCIs: Only 50% finish 10th standard Only 25% finish 12th standard Only 15% pursued and completed higher education / graduation 60% of them earn a livelihood of Rs 15,000 or less even at the age of 35 years Over the past few years, the impact MAD has been able to make with it’s interventions is that, of the children who are supported by MAD: 93% finish 10th standard of which 47% of them pass with first class honors 93% finish 12th standard of which 41% of them pass with first class honors 72% of them pursue undergraduate degree and an additional 10% pursue vocational courses post 12th standard 100% of these youth are then placed in formal sector jobs who then go on to earn a salary between Rs 10,000 and Rs 40,000, many of whom have attained a median income of Rs 40,000 by the age of 28.
