Mainly Mozart’s mission is to enrich the lives of today’s and tomorrow’s passionate music lovers by connecting them to the music of Mozart and the Masters, to world-class musicians, and to each other. Mainly Mozart has three core program areas: Mainly Mozart Festival, Spotlight Series and Outreach.
The annual Mainly Mozart Festival, with a home in downtown San Diego's newly-renovated Balboa Theatre, reaches 10,000 residents and tourists annually. The Festival—founded in 1988—is one of the largest, most prestigious Mozart festivals in North America. This June event has become a staple of San Diego cultural tourism. The Festival features the nation’s top orchestral players in an “all-star” orchestra under the baton of Maestro David Atherton. The Mainly Mozart Festival orchestra comprises the largest assemblage of concertmasters and principal players from the nation’s leading orchestras in the United States. This includes players from the Cleveland, Minnesota, St. Paul Chamber, Philadelphia and Metropolitan Opera Orchestras; San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta Symphonies; and Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics, among others

The ability to get to know the artists on a personal level is excellent and we are now friends with Julie Landsman of the Metropolitain Opera and Jon Kimura Parker and Aloysia Friedman out of Texas. We have made wonderful connections and friends with whom we would not had any touch points had it not been for the connectivity to Mainly Mozart.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I've enjoyed the chance to meet people I would never have met otherwise. This includes artists and fellow business people.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
...unfailing in their diligence in creating a memorable event whether it's a dinner, a recital or concert, or the Gala.
