Mainly Mozart’s mission is to enrich the lives of today’s and tomorrow’s passionate music lovers by connecting them to the music of Mozart and the Masters, to world-class musicians, and to each other. Mainly Mozart has three core program areas: Mainly Mozart Festival, Spotlight Series and Outreach.
The annual Mainly Mozart Festival, with a home in downtown San Diego's newly-renovated Balboa Theatre, reaches 10,000 residents and tourists annually. The Festival—founded in 1988—is one of the largest, most prestigious Mozart festivals in North America. This June event has become a staple of San Diego cultural tourism. The Festival features the nation’s top orchestral players in an “all-star” orchestra under the baton of Maestro David Atherton. The Mainly Mozart Festival orchestra comprises the largest assemblage of concertmasters and principal players from the nation’s leading orchestras in the United States. This includes players from the Cleveland, Minnesota, St. Paul Chamber, Philadelphia and Metropolitan Opera Orchestras; San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta Symphonies; and Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics, among others

I attended a few concerts at The Neurosciences Institute and they were phenomenal and more than I could ever ask for. The performers were amazing, staff was friendly and professional, not to mention there was complimentary wine. I loved the location and the stage. Mainly Mozart has routinely put on incredible performances by the best musicians in the world and I know I will remain a fan of this organization for a long time.
