The Hoyt has been a part of our family for a number of years, and we have come to appreciate the richness it offers to a semi-urban landscape where the arts and their practitioners are celebrated for their powerful role in civil society. It is not just a place for artsy show-and-tells. It does that very well, but it is also a place that provides instruction for various artforms, including photography, languages, etc. All of these are available to children and adults of all backgrounds, which ensures the social continuity of the softer skills in what has become a rude world.
