It's my great pleasure to serve as a Board member for DIG. Their mission and vision is to improve the lives of those suffering from alcohol and drug abuse addiction, including family members. They are also dedicated to training professionals with the skills to successfully intervene, refer to treatment and provide after care services for individuals and families suffering from substance abuse. DIG has recently expanded their focus to include evidence-based prevention of alcohol and drug abuse among vulnerable, high-risk youth and young adults. In doing so, they are the only group in the US effectively addressing the full spectrum of substance abuse, from prevention to after care. It's an honor for me to serve on their Board, and both work with and learn from them.
