Ann Fonfa and Annie Appleseed Project are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise frighting and confusing world that is known as traditional medicine. You getting well is the priority in Ann's world. The profit motivated traditional medicine world is not focused on getting people well. Ann's conferences are bar none, the BEST. You will learn HOW to get and stay well. She finds the best speakers and most informed experts in their fields and they present their information geared to the patient level. If you are attending her annual conference, not only will you be well fed, totally detoxed and cleansed, but you will meet the very nicest, relaxed happy people who have recovered and have found the path back to optimal health! Ann's organization is totally volunteer (I don't know how she does it) so please donate whatever you can.

The 4th Annual Evidence-Based Complementary & Alternative Cancer Therapies Conference organized by Annie Appleseed Project was one of the best organized and informative conferences I've ever attended. Speakers from all over the world presented and the information they imparted was eye-opening. While there's no magic bullet for cancer, as everyone responds differently to any given drug or approach, there are options out there, in combination and tailored to the individual, that are commonplace in Europe. Some of these approaches are available in a limited way in the U.S., some are not. If knowledge is power, I left the conference feeling more empowered. The conference is a testament to Annie Appleseed Project founder Ann Fonfa's dedication to providing people with cancer with the knowledge to make informed health care choices. Not only did I learn about cancer therapies and paradigms, I learned what I can do to be the healthiest me I can be.

I learned so much about what cancer therapies are available in other countries and about things I can do to be the healthiest me I can be.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wouldn't change anything. I wish I had the money to donate so that Annie Appleseed Project could reach more people.

I got breast cancer at 47 from working with radioactivity at work then getting injected estrogen as I was trying to conceive in my late 40s. After my second miscarriage, I found a lump. I let is sit for almost 2 years as I had lost my doctor as my fellowship ended, and was depressed after losing the baby. I had a late diagnosis. But I am still alive, I think, due to research and my diet. I use the computer to research. I have no access anymore to the scientific databases. I am completely isolated. If it were not for the AnnieAppleseed project I would not every have been exposed to all the new alternative research. It gave me hope. This was my first contact with excellent quality new alternative research which gave me a new goal and the methods to keep myself alive. I am still experimenting with what I learned at the conference and on the site last year and am looking forward to the next with all my heart. Thank you for being there.

Annie Appleseed is one of the most informed and concise sources of information about CAM & cancer on the web. I always know that the information contained in their pages is correct and up to date, which is of utmost concern when culling information from the web.
The annual CAM conference is
amazing with a wealth of information and speakers on a multitude of subjects. It's an absolute must for anyone who has had cancer or knows someone who has.

This organization provides one of the better and more complete collections of information on cancer treatment alternatives. Cancer patients have to understand that current cancer practices in the US are far more driven and dominated by medical dogma* and business preferences than they are by therapeutic efficacy and science. Other credible sources of information are needed. The information provided by the Annie Appleseed Project can help to overcome the restricted views that conventional medicine often imposes on cancer patients and their loved ones.
*Dogma: A belief or point-of-view, presented as authoritative, that is not scientifically proven.

I design and develop therapeutic devices that have been proven to be useful in the treatment of cancer and in wound healing.

The kind of changes that would be the "next step" require more staff and a much higher level of funding. The Annie Appleseed Project does well with what they have.

As a "cancer guide" providing important cutting edge, integrative, complementary and alternative cancer treatment information to those seeking a beacon in the storm of cancer (at CANHELP, www.canhelp.com), I feel that Annie Appleseed Project's website and annual conferences have provided trustworthy, evidence-based treatment information that keeps me informed and better able to help my clients. Ann Fonfa's and her volunteers' drive and passion, combined with a high level of integrity (run on a "shoestring!"), make this organization a unique place for survivors and professionals to learn essential information in the fight against cancer.

As a licensed preventive specialist I felt compelled to attend the Annie Apple Seed conference for our patients. Practicing in a biocomaptible dental practice and having family and patients diganosed with cancer, too bereft to navigate alternative pathways, the conference had magnetic forces to attend! The fees to attend extremely reasonable, the food so refreshingly healthy and the information PRICELESS! I have passed on infinite "pearls" of information to patients over the past year who are so grateful for an outlet to turn for guideance. I truly believe Ann F. is guided by the angels providing lifesaving pathways through Annie Apple Seed. Whether diagnosed with cancer or not, this conference offers ample knowledgeable presenations to make simple huge life wellness choices. Annie Apple Seed assists everyone to become focused on priorities paramount to wellness of heart, mind and body! Annie Apple Seed Conference: Angels on earth! Without question a must consideration for grants for life! MLM-R, RDH, BS

Without even having a personal experience with cancer, I immediately knew The Annie Appleseed Project was an organization I wanted to be involved with. It encourages everyone to adopt simple habits that will help improve their health and wellness. For those with cancer, the information The Annie Appleseed Project provides can make a huge difference in decisions they might make about their treatment. Anyone who has met Ann can tell how dedicated and passionate she is about reaching those who need it most.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

This organization encouraged me to live a more healthy and balanced life in hopes to decrease my risk of diseases such as cancer. I've sent the website to all of my friends and family to help spread the message and hopefully reach more people looking for options during cancer treatment.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find a way to make sure it could reach all audiences with a need for information about complementary and alternative therapies. The demand for conferences and seminars nationwide far exceeds the budget The Annie Appleseed Project has to work with.

Ann Fonfa has done so much to help others who have cancer. She is truly a visionary and through her experience of fighting and beating cancer with alternative therapies she has inspired others to follow her path. She spoke at our Head and Neck Cancer Seminar in Palm Beach County, Florida this past December and we have had overwhelming positive responses to her lecture.
Ann has a gentle and caring spirit about her. She personally responded to all e-mails and was offering help to us from the moment I contacted her. Her organization went up and above in donating time, supplies and a wealth of knowledge in making our seminar successful. She is extremely knowledgeable in nutrition and CAM therapies. I don’t believe anyone walked away from her lecture without taking something new and valuable from it. Her information serves not only those who have/had cancer but everyone in the room. She addressed several ways of prevention for those who have never had cancer.
I would like to see her organization win this award. I am sure that she would use the money to further educate those with cancer along with those in remission on nutritional and educational breakthroughs.
