I enjoyed it there very much. As a student, it was really cool to see all the animals thriving. The staff were really nice and thoughtful!

Julie and Innocence Freed are absolutely incredible. Julie's unrivaled heart for trafficking survivors paired with her incredible expertise and experience in the counter trafficking fight make her a powerful advocate for those that have experienced exploitation and trafficking.

Cady was a great person and loved by her friends. She was gone too soon and we miss her every day. Put down your phones when you drive- do it for Cady!

Life is Us has donated school supplies to families at our school, and also bought Christmas gifts, coats, and food for 100 of our families! They really put their heart into it, not only providing for needs but also including encouraging notes and offering extra assistance. I truly appreciate all they have done!

As prospective adoptive parents, the message my husband and I received REPEATEDLY from this organization while going through their process, was that to be a great parent you must have money. New house, new vehicles, designer clothing. Obviously a hard working farm couple was NOT their cup of tea. We were turned down for exactly this ... we rented a home instead of owning, and our car, while safe and reliable, was about 15 years old. We turned immediately to the State foster care system and was approved with flying colors. Since that time we have also been blessed by God with a biological child as well. I have nothing good to say about Nebraska Children's Home. My view of this Society is this: If you donate enough to them, you may just get a child. Sadly, money does NOT make a stable, safe, and loving parent.

Here when i saw these people back in late 2000 after therapy resource messed up by giving me medication that caused me to gain 161 lbs in 2 months and which i was lied to on and when my family members had conversations with. I use to be 175 lbs and 5'8" and healthy before being lied to on medications and with my 26 you tube video's that shows some evidence of the damages done by my family members and bad health care providers like these who do not care about people's physical and mental health and medications are a guessing game. Bad medication exp, family lies and misdiagnosed is the title for my you tube videos which the FDA, IRS, FBI and among other agencies have been aware and even the local police have been updated and i am hoping that my situation helps others which i still have 90 percent of evidence and recordings waiting for the federal courts date's to happen. These people also gave me the Abilify medication which caused more harm than good. I went from 400 pounds and after a lot of hard work i am about 260 lbs so far ...

Banister Leadership Academy promotes leadership of youth, something that continues to be a need in our community. Akile has done a wonderful job and his staff and board continue to do creative things in the community to inspire our young people to be our future thinkers and leaders.

I have been donating to charities for most of my adult life. Not life changing amounts, but a good support level. I have donated to the strong kids campaign for many recent years, but I found out this year some disturbing information. I guess I never looked at it this way before, but this campaign and how it's run in Omaha seems very fishy. They get general citizens like me to donate to them, so that they can "provide" a membership to someone of less means. On the surface that appears charitable. However, when you look closer, aren't they really just getting more memberships paid by people other than the person using it? This would be the equivalent of a clothing manufacturer saying that they will provide clothes to the needy as long as I pay for them at the full cost. Shouldn't the YMCA be donating something? I know the easy answer is that they are a non profit, but the reality is that their management is very highly paid for this area and nearly 10% of each donation goes right to management expenses, not to mention the extra expenses that are associated with the membership. Shouldn't we be giving to charities that provide basic life needs. Last time I checked, a family membership to a gym was not a basic life need. I admit they had me fooled for a while with the name, but more money is spent on family "scholarships" which are nothing more than memberships than any other program. Check out their 990 for yourself. Oh. That's right, they don't break out this major campaign so you can't follow the breadcrumbs. If it were a good program, they wouldn't be afraid to be transparent about how the money is used.

Wonderful organization committed to the future of our youth and community. Very worthy of all your help and donations. <br> <br>Would consider getting my kids involved in there community outreach programs.

This summer I was on an Intern team that got to work with CASA on a campaign that will run throughout Omaha. CASA is a great organization to work with. I was not sure what they did until we took on the project, but now after meeting the people and hearing the stories this organization does some amazing things. It was a privilege to work with CASA and to help their cause.
