Mission: Buckeye's Missions and Sanctuary is a full pet service. We offer boarding, daycare, grooming and training. Proceeds from all pet services go towards the care of our rescue dogs, maintaining our sanctuary and funding our rescue. We operate our pet service and rescue out of our 2.75 acre property called Buckeye's Sanctuary. The sanctuary serves as a home for our rescue dogs until they find their forever families.

Buckeye was a homeless dog rescued from the Cleveland Animal Care and Control on November 15th, 2014. He was loved by his family but unfortunately passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart condition on May 7th 2015. His family started this project as a promise and commitment to Buckeye to rescue homeless dogs. To read more about Buckeye, please visit our website.
Target demographics: abondoned, homeless, neglected, or abused dogs and cats
Geographic areas served: Brunswick, Ohio
Programs: For our rescue, we save animals from shelters and we shelter them in our sanctuary or in a foster home based on that animal's individual needs. All animals adopted from Buckeye's are fully vetted, fixed, and microchipped.
unfortunately the gentleman staff member seemed very uninterested in and almost annoyed by having to perform his job duties which, makes me somewhat weary for the safety of my dogs. but other staff members were nice and the dogs with each other seemed to be having fun.
Buckeye's is the shining example of how rescues are supposed to be run. Everything is above board and everything is done with compassion. Animals are #1. Always.
I participated in Buckeye's auction. Def the best auction I ever participated in. Starting bids were so reasonable, items were delivered as promised and very quickly at the close of the auction. I had no issues as I have with other auctions. Would absolutely participate again. Also proceeds went to a great cause. Excellent job..
Buckeye's is a wonderful resource of information. I did not adopt from them, but they still took the time to share information on how to correct behavioral problems. I believe they care for the welfare of all animals and will do whatever it takes to keep dogs away from shelters.
They saved this wonderful girl that I am lucky enough to be fostering for. They have saved several already and more to come in the future. This rescue will help so many dogs, love them
It's a wonderful place for dogs to call home! Great owners that have huge hearts and will be bend over backwards to give a dog in need a chance!! I love this place!
