I adopted my little girl Kori Anne six months ago from Sass. She is the most darling, sweetest, and most gentle little dog. Sass is such a caring and wonderful rescue operation. They take exceptional care of the doggies and the staff is wonderful! The overall experience was so great, that I am in the process of adopting another little dog from them. I highly recommend them; they are wonderful!!!!
What can I possibly say that will be enough to convey the hard working, caring and loving people at SASS? They went out of their way to make it possible for Sarge, now known as Bo, to have a forever place in our family and hearts. Honest about his issues, they asked intelligent questions to determine my suitability to handle him with love. I am forever in their debt for the lengths they went to make this happen. I also owe a huge thank you to a friend of SASS who helped by getting him to Montana where I could pick him up. Thank you all!!
This organization is one of the best run in the United States. They taken dogs of all sorts and situations, give them medical aid, grooming, licensing and love. They find them fosters to be retrained and socialized with and then they find them forever homes! Becky and her volunteers are compassionate as well as practical and thorough in their assessments of their animals, their needs and their prospective families, foster and permanent alike. I know all this through my dealings with Becky and her team when I worked with ARP (a local animal organization). We assisted her by taking some of her overflow puppy mill dogs. And we received our Shih-Tzu, Rocky, from SASS who had some issues, but now minus those issues is a loving and wonderful addition to our family. We both fostered him and then adopted him. Since then I have kept up with all the great work SASS has been doing and they definitely qualify as a noteworthy organization the deserves financial help. Please assist them in their efforts in saving dogs!
I had the awesome experience of fostering a wonderful Shih Tzu named Skittles through Sass Shih Tzu rescue. I loved going to the shop and watching them with all of the animals as they groomed them and loved on them.
This rescue was so very different than the rescue I had previously been helping. I could tell these women truly loved these animals and dedicated their lives to helping the unwanted, hurt and many times abused dogs. For almost two years I have watched the pictures (shown on Facebook) of the MANY precious fur babies who found their forever homes through Sass.
SASS rescue is the best! We adopted our little Sadie from them about 3 years ago and she is the sweetest dog ever. She and her big sister Sammi truly love each other. The ladies at SASS are so caring and professional. They do so much good for so many dogs and those dogs in turn bring much joy to the people who adopt them. I can't thank them enough for all they do!
I can't say enough good things about SASS Rescue. We wanted a playmate for our Shih-tzu and turned to the SASS group. The placed our sweet Daisy in our care and we all are a happy family. This rescue does everything in their power to connect the right furbaby with a loving furever home. They have saved the lives of many, many dogs and brought happiness to so many families. It's wonderful to see these dogs saved and their lives transformed as they find out there is a family out there to love them. Thank you SASS Rescue for all you do!
We've adopted two dogs from SASS and both experiences were great! They really care about the dogs, finding good homes for them and helping you and your new pet make a smooth adjustment. Couldn't ask for a better experience!
I love this rescue organization! I owned my first shih Tzu 14 years ago and from that moment forward this breed stole my heart! Sass Shih Tzu Rescue are a blessing to the less fortunate pooches. They are so compassionate and genuine in what they do! Every dog is special and treated so. Every effort is made to rehabilitate and find loving forever homes for these dogs. I would like to praise them for all their hard work and dedication to saving lives!

Sass Rescue are angels in the world of abandon and abused dogs in the US. Their tireless volunteers work so hard so no dog is left behind. We have been big supporters since we first found them on Instagram in 2105. There success rate is amazing. IG has been a big boost to there success but it takes hard work and dedication to be constantly posting and updating. Bravo Sass Rescue!!!!
We adopted the best dog ever 2 years ago from sassrescuse. It was the best thing we have ever done. The staff was professional,friendly and extremely dedicated to the fur babies in their care. Even though the have a small staff the kennels and dogs were very well cared for and happy.
Excellent organization. Very professional and they do exceptional work. I am always impressed by their rescues and positive results. They are simply marvelous. I recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a small dog.
These people are the very best!!! We adopted our baby last July 30 and if I could I'd adopt more from them! I'd been watching the shih tzu rescue from Houston for several months and came upon SASS. They receive an awful lot from the Houston one. We saw Little Momma and decided to drive from Indianapolis to Urbana to adopt her. So glad we did!! They're a loving group and will do all they can to help these babies get well and find awesome homes! Not to mention they give you updates on all the babies. I will continue to send donations every now and then cause I know they'll put it to very good use! They're AWESOME! Truly love these babies and treat them like their own! As you can tell by the pics, she's happy and we're all crazy about her!! She has a rescue brother in Ollie, and we have only one grandchild and they just adore each other!!! This is the most dedicated and wonderful animal rescue group ever. No dog is turned away no matter how old or sick. They are angels!
I have been following this rescue on Instagram for over a year, and I have made a number of donations to help them help Shih tzus. They are amazing , and they help Shih tzus and other dog breeds from all over the country find homes. I can't say enough good things about them! @zoeythetzu
Sass rescue is a wonderful organization! You can see that the dogs are loved and well taken cared of. A lot of people who adopt from them are very happy about how the adoption process is done. They are very dedicated and thorough which is good because the well being of the fur babies when they go to their furever homes is one of the organization's primary goal. They are heaven sent and hope that there will be more organizations who is like them!
My mother adopted a little girl named Molly back in October from SASS. We could not have been happier with our experience. SASS cares so much for the animals they rescue and when I am ready to adopt again I will be doing so from SASS!
I adopted Dunkin (aka Cocoa) a few months ago. They are so caring and compassionate for animals! It is apparent that they enjoy their work and will always have the best interest of the animals in their care!
They are awesome! Such loving and caring people! I adopted my little Cosmo from them. I have also had the pleasure of getting to volunteer a few times with them and they truly love what they do!
They do an amazing job! Visiting the housing where the adoptable dogs are kept it is soooo clean and they are taken great care of! These dogs are spoiled and truly cared for and loved on! Highly recommend!

I adopted from SASS in July 2014 after the loss of my 15 year old shihtzu Lily. I was searching for a two or three year old furry family member that needed a loving home. I cannot say enough good about SASS. They have the process down pat. Very thorough application and their response time was fast. I was meeting my new baby within the week. I recently adopted my second baby from them in July of 2015. These ladies pour their hearts into their work and it shows!
Becki and Kelly are wonderful caring animal and people friends. I haven't adopted from them but have boarded my dog with them and saw first hand how hard they work to keep all their animals happy and safe. Great people to work with.
I adopted Mr. Miyagi from SASS 2 years ago. It was a very thorough and strick process to be able to adopt. But this shows that they really care where their dogs end up. I can't imagine our home without this sweet beautiful boy. They are a wonderful organization that work hard and make a difference for so many!
