My name is Eric i am a 56 year old former Army National Guard member. 1 altercation with the law changed my life negatively forever. I was in a very bad place a very low place and time in life. Facing possible jail or prison time if all went wrong for me. Depression crept in my mind not caring about tomorrow or today. I am a prideful person who was stripped of that. I never thought I needed to talk to anyone or group of people about my problems. However I was so wrong after joining military counseling class Led by Jamie Medina and Christina at Delta College and a group of men and women who also like me made a mistake along the way found themselves on the wrong side of the law. The collaboration of counselors and real life interactions with other members of the group led me to open up and realize that I was not alone and that I still had some purpose and that I could get thru this bad point of my life and potentially help someone else thru group setting and open conversation.

Some don’t need hospitals. They don’t need big institutions. They just need a safe home and someone who cares. That’s why, through Charity for All and Development for Africa (CADA), I am creating CADA Hope Haven — a small, family-style Residential Care Home for vulnerable seniors. A place of dignity. I can passionately care for our planet through the Tracy Earth Project (TEP), for several compelling reasons. Having experienced the effects of global warming, being part of an environmental organization has been a major life goal for me. I joined Tracy Earth Project beginning of this year. I have volunteered with environmental nonprofits before, but this group felt different. TEP made me a part of a nature-loving, women-led organization that works hard every day to make a better tomorrow. TEP has accentuated my desire for an environment-friendly life in the following ways. First and foremost, as a fully volunteer-based organization, all of us are doing the best we can by finding time in our busy schedules. I find this aspect as a definite show of commitment from the TEP group and I am proud to be part of these exceptional humans. Secondly, The community garden, youth engagement, and tree plantings have often invoked in me a sense of connection with the animate and inanimate world and how intertwined life is on earth. These activities and events have reinforced my commitment to fighting for climate justice, and to do my part in preserving the Earth's breathtaking biodiversity. Lastly, I care deeply about the economic opportunities presented by addressing climate change. Transitioning to a sustainable, green economy can create jobs, spur innovation, and improve public health. TEP's new initiative for local businesses, the Green Team is all about improving the local economy through making sustainable eco-friendly changes. TEP has given me a chance to build a better, more equitable world. I find the community engagement that TEP emphasizes, a great avenue for collective caring and healing for the planet. TEP is undoubtedly one of the best organizations I have volunteered for. In summary, my fervent concern for climate change arises from its existential threat to our planet, its links to social justice, the imperative to protect biodiversity, and the promise of a sustainable, prosperous future. I have been able to work towards all these causes being part of Tracy Earth Project. <br>

They identify one-time urgent needs that would otherwise go unmet and our donors meet those needs. I love how FIX'D not only helps veterans, but their family members too. For example, I volunteered and helped FIX'D make over 300 gift bags to give to children. The kids & parents appreciated this so much. Thank you FIX'D! God Bless!

As a volunteer to Chest of Hope, I have seen, first hand, the immense good that this organization does for the most vulnerable amongst us. Chest of Hope provides the proverbial ray of hope and the support that these victims so desperately need. It is incumbent upon every member of our community to help Chest of Hope in whatever way they can so Chest of Hope can continue to do good and continue to provide the support that they do!

There are many Veterans service organizations out there, and we thank god for them; however, not one quite like Patriots. This organization is comprised of gold star & blue star families, Veterans, Dependants, and a host of fellow Americans that care. And that full spectrum care is seen in the work they do and lives they’ve changed. Case for Kids is a fantastic organization. I am a foster mom that was placed with a 12 year old girl, and she came with very little clothing and zero supplies. This puts a lot of added stress on foster parents to both deal with the trauma of a child being placed in your care and “settling in” as well as shop for a full wardrobe for that child (with your own money and resources). <br><br>I heard about Case for Kids from a friend and she suggested that I contact them for help. Within a few days there was a large case of clothes, school supplies, toiletries, shoes, etc, all tailored to the things my girl likes. It was a wonderful, welcome ray of light in the midst of trauma.

Came into contact with one of the board members of beneath his wings foundation Charles Madison. I am a representative of google ads and I've looked into the background and hard work Cynthia Evans and her staff have put in since its beginning. I must say I am very impressed with the quality of service this foundation has put fourth. Brightening lives and watching the potential of the work they put would make anyone become excited to volunteer for the organization. I applaud the work and I will find time to make sure to help in any way. <br>

The team is not managed in the best interest of the children. Not all players are being trained or allowed to participate in the game. There is no structure. The self esteem of some of the players is being damaged my men with big egos.

These folks are new but they seem to be doing a lot of good for San Joaquin/Stanislaus county wounded veterans and their families. The other day, they provided a no question grant to one of our wounded vets who suddenly became homeless. That grant helped the veteran and his wife move to another state where employment was waiting. They are also heavily involved with other wounded warrior programs in the area and help with housing, transitional assistance, VA benefits, family support, and finding employment. I'm very impressed.
