This organization goes above and beyond during their fundraisers. They started doing Puurse Bingo and their 2025 was HUGE and completely sold out. The prizes were all amazing and we would have been lucky to win any of them. The effort made to bring the community together through these events always amazes me. You can bet to see me at all further events!!

CRF is a fantastic organization for both research and community-building for those living with Choroideremia. They are truly passionate about their mission and bring so much hope to families who need it.

Give Music has given me so much growth over the years! It’s given me the opportunity to put my creativity to life and learn how to do more at the same time. I thank Give Music for everything it has taught me and for every opportunity to help me become successful for my future! A lot more people need this, a lot of children/adults don’t just have access to recording/producer studios, photography studios, video/photo software or live events and just learn and/or have someone willing to teach you but Give Music that’s what they love and want to do!

I work with a non-profit and we raise money by donations. We get overwhelmed by donations, so I use to bring 5 boxes to share with heartstrings until you decided not to do pickups. My non-profit had their sales and you made us deliver to the truck on the same day. It made it difficult to deliver but I put boxes into my handicapped partners car and he would deliver to the truck hoping the driver would unload the boxes. The driver was c ery helpful but I couldn't depend on a handicapped person to do deliveries so I just stopped donating to Hartspring. I just got a donation card for pickup date of Feb 20 and I can't get to Vermont to pack up a donation and I don't trust that you won't pull the no pickup stunt again. You blow it. I won't bring any donation down again.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in late March/early April of 2023. I was absolutely shocked since there was no history of breast cancer in my family that I was aware of. Shortly after my diagnosis, I was watching the show Mass Appeal and 2 women were speaking about an event that was being held to raise awareness about all types of cancers, but particularly breast cancer since each of them had previously been diagnosed with and had undergone surgery and subsequent treatment. One of those women was Cindy Sheridan Murphy who had founded the support group Each Moment We're Alive. She explained that anyone could join the group by signing onto the website and also stated that she personally contacts each new member to welcome them. Hearing this, I decided to join and, true to her word, Cindy contacted me a few hours later to welcome me to the group and offer her support. I attended the awareness activity that was being held the following week and was very fortunate to meet a wonderful group of women who were more than welcoming and willing to share their experiences with diagnosis and subsequent treatment as Cindy had. I also attended 2 meetings of the support group where I met many of the same women and also some new faces. I found this to be very helpful since my head was in a constant state of turmoil. <br> <br>The next few weeks following my initial meeting and joining this group was extremely stressful because my insurance company repeatedly denied my treatment since I opted to have treatment in the Boston area where my family resides and I have a large support group. Cindy introduced me to someone that she knew that was intricately involved and very knowledgeable in the field of insurance, particularly health insurance. This contact assisted me in navigating the process of changing insurance companies to one that had a much broader network and approved me having surgery and treatment at the hospital of my choice. <br> <br>I'm happy to say that my surgery was completed very successfully on August 15, 2023 and I am now in my second week of recovery. In my opinion, Cindy Sheridan Murphy and the members of the support group Each Moment We're Alive were invaluable to me in my time of need. I wholeheartedly support this group and their mission and cannot say enough positive comments. Thank you in advance for your continued support and assistance!

Follow My Steps is a nonprofit partner of NeighborShare, Inc. We partner with effective, trustworthy organizations on the ground working with families and individuals, like Follow My Steps. They identify one-time urgent needs that would otherwise go unmet and our donors meet those needs. Efficiency and trustworthiness are as essential to us and our donors as it is to you, so each nonprofit partner has to pass our initial vetting process as well as ongoing integrity checks. We are not only proud that Follow My Steps meets those high standards, but we are even prouder of the incredible work they do every day to support our neighbors. <br>

I love the great work the Springfield Rescue Mission does for our community. I've seen first hand how SRM has changed lives and saved lives. Their goal is not only to fill the physical needs (millions of meals in a year, housing, clothing, etc.) but to build people up to what they can be. No other group offers a future for the homeless, addicted and lost people of our community.

The CDC in McKnight grew out of a 1993 Federal grant which required a "Needs assessment" survey, and the survey showed that people in the community felt that needs besides housing needed to be addressed. As a result programs addressing economic development and youth development and education were introduced, resulting in a multi-year Summer Youth program based on Heritage Education, and an economic development program based in supporting development of "Provider cooperative" businesses.<br><br>In recent years the group has moved to diversify its activities while continuing to support historic house preservation, and is now active in workforce development, working to reduce health disparities, solar energy and energy efficiency, and working to promote workplace safety. One notable project involved moving an endangered 1880 house and restoring it as permanently affordable housing units. Other current projects under the CDC umbrella are aimed at creation of a "Living museum" of Victorian homes, emphasizing the multi-racial origins of both the community and its preservation, regional workforce training and sustainable transportation through "Fleet life extension".

I love keeping up with the zoo on social media and the virtual trivia night was a blast! Keep up the amazing work for those animals and for the community.

Guidewire inc, is one the worst places i worked for in nonprofits. I been working in nonprofits for 15 years, there HR department is not for the employees u must get a union rep to protect u in any case of matter u have. They will hire anybody to work with their clients long as their is a body in the house's watching the client's. They never post manager positions and they make up supervisor positions by choice. There's never any house money for things and managers uses house money for personal use and make up paper to hide it. I would never place the care of my loved one in there hands. They only want the state funding and federal funding from your loved one to keep the doors open and lights for their company. SHAME ON THEM

The CEO of this non-profit makes around one million dollars a year, while implementing layoffs, cutting services, and emphasizing a quantity over quality approach to healthcare.

Beyond the Silence, inc came out of brokenness and a need to speak out. Whether physical, emotional or spiritual brokenness, Tammy Webb-Witholt, its founder, leads small groups and speaks at conferences to help those who struggle. Together with her husband, Wolter Witholt, she has traveled and ministered In Indonesia, Tanzania, Colombia, and other parts of the world. Since 2007, they have supported a work in Mbeya, Tanzania to help orphans and those who have lost loved ones to AIDS and tragedy. This organization is constituency driven--truly. Every dollar is well spent here. Understated, but makes big impact on pressing human needs focusing the spotlight on policies that create homelessness, mass incarceration, and climate change just to name a few.

I went to the clinic in Feb. of 2013 with what I thought was a deep chest cold. I felt fine except when I walked, I would get winded easily. I always also feeling fatigued. Since it was the winter time, I just chalked it up to a cold, making walking pneumonia. I was recently unemployed and was waiting for my new insurance to start. As I had no insurance, I decided to go to the clinic to get a prescription. Linda Mumblo took my pulse and told me it was 39. She sent me right in to see Dr Schoonover. The Dr told me to get right to the hospital and to bring a toothbrush. To make a long story short, the next day I received a pacemaker. Unbeknownst to me, the bottom half of my heart was not beating. I had Bradycardia. If it had not been for the fact that this clinic was available to me, I would have just tried to deal with the shortness of breath. In all likelihood, had I not gone to the clinic, I could have easily had a heart attack at any moment. I thank God and his servants at The New Hope Health Clinic. I can truly say that they literally saved my life.

The Center for Human Development is like a many headed hydra that is out of control. There are so many sub programs that the quality of service is sub par and those who are supposedly benefiting from the services are not. There is one particular program called the Independent Living Program that embodies the uselessness and the fact that the company has taken off more than it can chew. Here is the mission statement for The Independent Living Program: <br> CHD developed the Independent Living Program in 1983 as a resource for state agencies needing cogent programming for youth aging out of state care. This is a voluntary program serving young adults between the ages of 17-22 years referred by DCF. Independent Living is a scattered-site program, meaning each youth is placed in his/her own apartment throughout the Greater Springfield area. The program offers guidance in acquiring skills that will help young adults make the transition to independence and self-sufficiency. Clients are provided with individual apartments, basic utilities and assistance in daily living expenses. Multiple individual visits are made with each client weekly by their assigned caseworker. These weekly meetings assist with independent living skills and connect clients with community resources. <br> <br>I can tell you from first hand knowledge and experience that the youth in this program are not provided with said services. Quite the opposite, the youth are put in apartments then left to their own devices. Many are asked to leave the building they occupy due to: drug use, drug trafficking and being a general malaise to the building. The only service this program provides is a safe place to drink underage, do drugs and continue the cycle of teen pregnancy. Furthermore the social workers need to reviewed by an ethics board. The socials workers employed in this program are never around I'm not sure what they do but they do not assist or provide any help for these people.

I had the opportunity to teach financial literacy twice this past school year and cannot wait to do it again. The JA of Western MA team is amazing. The children are so involved in the lessons. If you have never done it get involved. You will not regret it.

House Rabbit Connection is a wonderful organization for rabbits and their humans. HRC is also a member of House Rabbit Society, an international rabbit rescue and education organization. Hop to it and support HRC and HRS!
