As a volunteer new to the area I wasn't sure what to expect. My first day I was blown away by not only the grace and loving support Prodisee Pantry provides to the families they assist but the magnitude of how well run the pantry is. Serving hundreds of families weekly everyone has a smile and kind word not only to our families but to one another. Prodisee Pantry goes above and beyond helping neighbors in need in providing food, comfort, and a helping hand to everyone. I came for a one day event and have been here for 5 years as a part of the Prodisee Pantry and it is a privilege to serve the community in their name.
From a Tuesday morning in 2003 to a Tuesday morning in 2024 you can usually find me at Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort, AL. The Pantry serves the northern part of Baldwin Co. From the first Tuesday we were open and passed out 18-20 grocery bags to present tie where we fill shopping carts full of good groceries. Our volunteers are currently serving an average of 5,000 clients every 6 months. But we are more than just a food pantry. Each Tuesday from 9 to 11:30 helping agencies are available to offer assistance and advice with such things as food stamps, legal problems, housing, financial problems, home weatherization, adult education and other needs. Over the 21 years that I have volunteered at the Prodisee Pantry we have grown and are now able to make a dent in hunger, as well as other needs. I am so proud to have been a small part in this ministry. We strive to fulfill Matthew 25:35 "I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
The Prodisee Pantry is in the community for our community, by helping the people and families in need. The volunteers and businesses in the community jump in to help people with God first and big hearts.
I’m glad the Pantry is here and I personally seeing the impact the have in people and families; and the way they conduct their business always putting people first and thinking in many way to help the people in our community.
Great group of people, with the motivation to assist the needy everyday, our community needs volunteers and sponsor without then, their mission would be impossible!
I’m proud of each one of them.
I've been both a recipient and a volunteer of the Prodisee Pantry. Early on, when my wife and children first came to the area we had a health crisis that caused me to be out of a job. The loss of income made us, temporarily, dependent on the charity of others. The Prodisee Pantry really, really helped my family never miss a meal and for that I'm eternally grateful.
After receiving help from them I became a volunteer and have witnessed the positive effects that the Prodisee Pantry has had on, literally, thousands of people. From those who are homeless to single parents to those families who are impoverished, I've never seen a bigger impact on people that this organization has had. AND those who volunteer are often those who have been shown love and mercy from those at the Prodisee Pantry. I simply can't say enough good about it! :)
My experience with Prodisee Pantry is that they spend time with each person in need and give them a holistic experience not just a meal.
I have been a volunteer for the Pantry for over 7 years and have been on the board for the past two years. In that time I have been able to experience so many good things as a result of the work the Pantry does for the community. Seeing the hope on the face of someone receiving a grocery cart full of food and knowing that they will be able to feed their family makes me proud of the work we do every week. The staff and volunteers work to ensure each person receives not just food, but any other assistance that the Pantry can get them connected with to provide the support they need.
Each time a new volunteer comes to work with the Pantry I see how they are impressed by the scale of the operation, the volume of food that goes out and the efficiency of the operation. The staff works diligently to have everything ready each day, whether it's packing boxes, sorting through donations or receiving the clients, the whole operation runs smoothly. The Pantry works very hard to ensure that everyone in our area can feed their family and not worry about things like deciding whether they will buy the medicine that keeps them alive or buying food to eat.

Every time I volunteer at Prodisee I see so many people that want to help those that are less fortunate. People that want to make a difference are there helping, happy to volunteer for a worthy cause. The staff is very upbeat and always helpful to the volunteers and the clients alike. I know this organization makes a huge impact on the lives of the less fortunate in our area and some families would have a very hard time without Prodisee Pantry.
Incredible organization. Giving food weekly to hundreds of people in need. All people. Anyone who walks through their door. Treating them with respect and dignity. Not just giving food, but giving help, advice, love, assistance to keep the going. Lots of volunteers support prodisee pantry. It is hard, tireless work to get sponsors, funds, supplies. They are excellent in all they do, and will use funds and grants for the needy. Their strategic plan paves the way for continued success and growth to keep up with changing economies, disasters, and the unknowns. They have an infectious spirit that makes everyone want to help and support.
Amazing outreach to the community with every weekly food distribution at the Pantry and every monthly distribution at the Vons community near Stockton. Visionary leadership, dedicated staff, and generous volunteers are part of EVERYTHING Prodisee Pantry does. We received a note last week from a volunteer who was humbled by the gratitude of a patron for the services Prodisee Pantry provided them, and the volunteer was able to be a part of delivering. The Board is excellent and completely engaged in Prodisee Pantry's mission. This is a special place.
The Dogwood Trail Organization has been closely tied to The Prodisee Pantry since 2015. In 2020, our Court Members went every week (May 2020 - August 2020). We packed boxes and participated as best we could, given the Covid limitations. During this time, although the world was "shut down," we knew that we still had hungry families in our community, especially with so many people being out of work, and we were happy to do our part. The 2021 Court continued to serve with The Prodisee Pantry during the Summer of 2021. Since 2015, we have been helping with The Prodisee Pantry's Thanksgiving and Christmas packing days. We also attend their Turkey Trot and work with the Postal Carrier Collection each year. Having an amazing resource like The Prodisee Pantry in our area is something to celebrate and be thankful for. The fact that their staff is extremely kind and helpful is just an added bonus. Thank you, Prodisee Pantry, for giving us the opportunity to serve alongside you!
The Prodisee Pantry is more than a non Profit organization. It brings hope to Baldwin County. This is my story:
My family has a neighbor that rents a trailer that is located on land that adjoins our property. A man has lived there for many years that has needed help in more ways than "Food Insecurities" . We been taking care of some of his needs and was finally able to introduce him to the Parodisee Pantry. This has been life changing for this man. He now has benefits that he never dreamed possible before his introduction to the Pantry. With a different outlook on life and carries himself with more confidence. A smile had replaced lostness on his face. Now as his health has improved with Doctors care and better nutrition , he is able to use many more skills to help him succeed in life. I have witnessed many such transformations volunteering with the Prodisee Pantry.
Thank You Prodisee Pantry for bringing hope to the live of so many and thank you Prodisee for how you have change my life as well.

Prodisee Pantry is more than just a place of food provision, but hope. What stands out about Prodisee is their determination to make connections with their clients. Even though the blessing boxes in the community provide for a day, it does not attempt to address the root cause of hunger, but only the symptom. At Prodisee, there's a team of volunteers that provide qualitative care and attention to each client through an interview process. If they need food, more than likely there may be other needs. Prodisee is a lighthouse of hope to direct the community to the other resources they may need. This helps people to learn to fish instead of always just providing one. The team of Prodisee Pantry understands this and is passionate to help provide the community with the unseen and unmet needs. Serving on the advisory council, I have the benefit of seeing and experiencing the effectiveness of the Executive Director Deann Servos leadership as she tirelessly plans, communicates and implements the vision of Prodisee Pantry. This year Prodisee Pantry expanded their impact as the team travels to a community in need each month providing the same qualitative care they would if they could drive to the building. Prodisee Pantry is a GREAT Nonprofit to serve and support.

Prodisee Pantry is a beacon of light in our community! They do more than just provide food, but they empower the community by sharing resources to encourage and equip the community to become self-sufficient. As a director of a residential home for teens it’s nice to have a safe place for the girls to give back by serving our community. We love Deann and the team of Prodisee Pantry.
While I was undergoing treatment for Stage IV cancer, the volunteers at the Prodisee Pantry made sure my family (a wife, a son (9) and a daughter (4)) had food on the table. Their dedication to serving others meant that my family never missed a meal.
It’s impossible for me to express my gratitude in words. If you can imagine the fear that I, as a husband and a father, had that my kids and wife would go hungry because I was unable to function for over a year - then you might also be able to imagine the relief I felt having so many people walk beside us.
And the help of those who volunteer at the Prodisee Pantry didn’t stop at just meeting the physical needs we had. They also provided emotional support and we coveted the prayers they put forth on our behalf because they were backed up by action.
The only way I can possibly tell you how much this wonderful organization means to me is by telling you this: I’ve become a volunteer at the Prodisee Pantry and am trying my best to ‘pay it forward.’
I’ve gotten to know other volunteers and while we come from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, political mindsets etc. … one thing binds us together - our love for others.
Thanks SO much to everyone at the Prodisee Pantry
We assume in the U.S. that there's always a place to get free food. That's not true. Someone might scrounge a hamburger here or there, or a bottle of water, but not for good food to feed a family in distress for a week or a month or several months. A SNAP EBT card is not enough. That's where Prodisee Pantry steps in - every day, every week, every month - through storms, pandemics, heat or cold - always there providing wholesome food, love, and connection to other support. Reliably, faithfully doing this for 20 years. A light of goodness for all of Baldwin County. We all can say, "do we care for the poor? Yes, we have Prodisee Pantry." And WE includes the thousands of volunteers and donors who give their love and hands and hearts and prayers. EVERYONE is enriched by the mission. And all of us in Baldwin County have peace knowing there IS a place where good, healthy food is available. So many of us have been blessed to be able to serve so many of our brothers and sisters. Just a miracle.

Prodisee Pantry serves Baldwin County, Alabama by connecting families to life-promoting food and services, and connecting the community to meaningful work caring for neighbors. It's a community gathering place that blends those who need help with those who can help. It provides quality food for everyday hunger, but also is a hub for disaster and emergency planning and response, family and legal aid, housing and educational assistance. I've been a volunteer, a supporter, a fellow professional in the field of hunger relief, and a board member. I've seen a lot of lives helped here: many who prepare and give the food, and many who receive it. And there's no secret why this works...the mission is painted in large script on the largest wall of the warehouse...Matthew 25:35.
Prodisee Pantry fills such a need in our communities that many do not even know is there. The employees and volunteers all show pride in their work and help any that reaches out. Thank you to everyone there involved!
Truly an organization that has the best interest of the community at heart! The passion of the volunteers and the team at prodisee pantry is transformational. Thank you Prodisee Pantry!
As an 80yr. old past nonprofit volunteer, I feel that my 16 yrs. spent @ Prodisee Pantry (as an Interviewer, in Development and the Advisory Board) was the most rewarding/worthwhile time spent in my life. It's smartly run (by Exec.Director Deann Servos and a handful of staff) who appreciate ALL their volunteer's hard work while providing healthy food/special services to the families in need in the largest county in Alabama. Health reasons have slowed down my efforts in these "Golden Years"; but I relish the memories, friends made and promote the Pantry at every opportunity. I hope that whoever reads this and is looking for a volunteer spot inquire at the Pantry (251-626-1720). It's wonderful faith-based organization!
I have been affiliated with this non-profit via the Bd of Directors for over 10 years. This is an extremely effective and efficient organization. Operating costs are less than 5% (well below the accepted 25% from non-profits) and we have in place a powerful fraud prevention program to insure that truly needy families in our community our served. In addition we have collaborations with numerous other non-profit and community organizations to help our clients with other needs such as housing, medical care and jobs!

I've been a volunteer at Prodisee for many years and currently serve as the President of the Bd of Directors. What most amazes me about Prodisee and our mission to provide food and resources to families in need is our efficiency. Since 2003, over 185,000 families made up of 450,985 individuals from Baldwin County have received help from Prodisee Pantry. We distribute over 600 tons of food and groceries, including lots of healthy fresh produce, each year! This is accomplished because we have an excellent Executive Director and hundreds of volunteers who make this happen. Our efficiency allows us to commit 95% of our donated funds to our mission!
The other volunteers and staff at Prodisee Pantry always amaze me! Working together, our neighbors in Baldwin County receive help with a box of food and so much more! As a volunteer, I know my time is appreciated.

When you hear the statistics of hunger in the US, it is staggering. But, imagine being one of the many children or adults that don't have enough food. Having a place to go, where people help and care is important. At Prodisee Pantry, volunteers reach out and help families, providing more than food. Each week, families visiting Prodisee Pantry also find representatives from Social Security, legal aid assistance, educational assistance -- even companies looking to hire workers -- all on site and available to help. These resources provide invaluable assistance to families because Prodisee Pantry cares.
This is an amazing group dedicated to making the world a better place with love and personalized care.
My husband and I have volunteered at Prodisee pantry for over 5 years. It is a great non profit organization. They care so much for each client and will help them with food and information needed to get help with power bills, house repairs, health care, housing because they are connected with many other organizations that help with these situations. They even had Walgreens come out on distribution day to give Covid shots. Some people may get upset with the way distribution is handled but if anyone has a question or needs a clarification, it will always be given! As a volunteer I have a great time interviewing and talking to the clients. Baldwin County is truly blessed to have this great place to get food and other resources. If ever in need, people should come in Tuesday morning to get food.
As a volunteer, I see how much this nonprofit does to serve the community. I have been volunteering there for over 10 years and have watched as they have always stepped up in seasons of trouble. They really stepped in the gap during the pandemic. They moved their weekly food distribution outside and were able to serve thousands of families. If it weren’t for Prodisee Pantry, many of our neighbors would have been without food during the shutdown. I am proud to be volunteering at a place like this.
I have volunteered with the pantry for almost 2 years. The paid staff of this organization go over and above to ensure every client who comes for assistance is not only given food but also hope. The hundreds of volunteers who come out each week are the absolute best! Everyone is welcoming and they truly value the help you give them. The staff are not shy about expressing how much they appreciate the time you give the pantry to help the community. The clients who come are also not shy about expressing their appreciation for what the pantry does each week. The staff constantly monitor COVID numbers and quickly make adjustments to the processes so all clients and volunteers stay safe. I am thankful I found this great organization and I'm blessed to be able to help them each week.
The Prodisee Pantry has wonderful staff and volunteers that are servants who care for their community! I’m thankful for all that they give.
Receiving food assistance is usually just a simple few canned goods and you are sent on your way. Prodisee Pantry provides nourishing groceries to feed a family for a month covering all the basic food groups and then some. Receiving the "extra" Thanksgiving box is such a blessing to receive and takes away the added stress of figuring out how to buy groceries for a special dinner and allows for time to just enjoy dinner with the family. Not only do you receive a full basket of groceries it is always given by a smiling face and kind words which goes even further than the groceries to warm your heart. Prodisee Pantry truly cares about the people in the community.
What the pantry does is great, most of the time! However their Sunday Thanksgiving distribution was a complete cluster!! We were instructed via a color, postcard size, professionally printed document to go to the Spanish Fort High School for the distribution. The document stated that additional information would be provided at that location. So I went and waited in line for about an hour until we were motioned to go. I never received any additional information! I therefore had no idea what to do so I just went home with nothing. It was the worst event that I had ever attended, or even heard of, with such poor planning!!!! Whoever planned that event should be removed from their position immediately!!!!

We heard so many positive comments and THANK YOU was shouted through hundreds of car windows by so many of the 1500 families served in November. All families where given clear instructions by our caring volunteers to proceed to Prodisee Pantry to pick up their Thanksgiving Feast complete with a Turkey and other groceries. This one client's experience unfortunately appears to be a miscommunication. We reached out by phone and offered to provide him groceries and Thanksgiving food, he refused.
After retiring from a career in health care, I was anxious to find a way to help those with severe nutritional needs due to inadequate income or resources. I was aware of the Prodisee Pantry in my community, but had not had the opportunity to volunteer.
As I began to learn about the programs at the Pantry, I realized that this was a place where I could make an impact. Soon I was volunteering to help unload trucks of produce and bag such for distribution. That led to helping to interview our clients to learn more about the underlying personal issues which were leading to their food and nutrition shortfalls. Many times we have been able to help make a change in our client’s situation by means of local job information or finding affordable agencies that can serve their health needs.
I have been impressed with the motivation, commitment, persistence, and love found at Prodisee Pantry.
This is a place where true concern for our neighbor is deeply rooted and practiced, in keeping the teachings of our Lord to feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty.
Those of us who volunteer at the Prodisee Pantry soon learn how blessed we are, and how much we have been given throughout our lives. Now it’s time for us to help those who are not so blessed.
Human kindness and generosity is alive and well at the Prodisee Pantry.

After retiring, I looked for an organization that was making a difference in the lives of those who really needed substance and hope. I was aware of the Prodisee Pantry, so I inquired regarding a volunteer position. I was soon put to work moving boxes, counting produce, and general warehouse work. Later, I was asked to shadow other volunteers as they interviewed the pantry's food recipients. I soon realized that the Prodisee Pantry was providing much more than food. The Pantry was providing information regarding education and employment opportunities, and referrals to local organizations that could help with government programs, and legal and credit counseling. In time I was interviewing our clients, asking about their needs and really making a difference. It's hard to express the joy and satisfaction that comes with not only proving a meal(s), but helping a neighbor find a way out of their situation. Many times good information and a concerned voice is better than money. Prodisee Pantry delivers food, hope, and respect to its clients. All in the name of the Lord.
Prodisee Pantry provides food and related services to those in need.
They go above and beyond to reach out
to anyone that needs help ….facilitating
people’s basic needs…in a caring and compassionate manner.
Prodisee Pantry has been in existence for over 15 years and enjoys a great reputation in our community. We serve the food insecure population and have many supporters individually as well as grants, corporate gifts and churches. Our staff of only 3 is exceptional and highly motivated. Along with food distribution weekly we simultaneously provide social service entities with space on the distribution days for client assistance. Legal and housing aid services are also available. We are presently initiating a satellite operation in an underserved area as well as continuing as emergency relief for storm related catastrophes (frequent in our area). Our volunteer staff is beyond compare and is the backbone of our operation. Many have served since the inception of the Pantry.
We continue to have a well qualified and professional board of directors. We are all proud to serve.
Prodisee Pantry is a blessing to the community! Rain or shine, hot or cold, pandemic or hurricane, this organization is on the front lines helping! With three staff members and hundreds of volunteers working every week, they are the hands and feet of Jesus for the community. Not only food is given, but also resources for other help and HOPE. Everyone who comes for help is treated with dignity and respect. 5+ STARS!
Prodisee Pantry does so many great things for the people in our community! I am so thankful for their service to those in need!
I have been a volunteer at Prodisee Pantry for about 5 years. I have been involved with numerous non-profits over the course of my lifetime, and while many of them were well intentioned, they often deviated from their mission to satisfy personal and/or professional ambitions. Prodisee Pantry is the only non-profit that I have experienced which not only sticks to its mission of offering food for the body and soul. but also embraces other agencies to meet clients needs beyond their mission. This is a wonderful organization of dedicated people who truly love their neighbors.

At Prodisee Pantry it is all about hunger with a lot of love and caring in every box of food. The staff is dedicated to finding the very best nutrition for their neighbors in need, and the volunteers welcome all who come with open hearts and smiling faces. This is a tightly run ship that weathers all storms with Faith, Hope, and Love.
Classical Conversations in Baldwin County Alabama would like to give Prodisee Pantry a 5 star rating. This organization has blessed our homeschool group throughout the years by allowing parents of our group to disciple our kids through their organization about how to serve their community. They have allowed us to help with building boxes with our children, provided public days of serving the community, and annual events to bless those who serve and those who are served. They have apprenticed our students while at Prodisee Pantry about how to serve others in many ways. Thank you Prodisee Pantry!
To say the past year has been challenging is a gross understatement! So many people in Baldwin County, Alabama have been negatively impacted by COVID and hurricanes. Whether emergency food was needed following a storm or due to loss of income, Prodisee Pantry stepped forward to help.
During COVID, Prodisee Pantry established guidelines for the distribution of food so that volunteers and clients could wear masks, socially distance and be safe. As a volunteer, I was never uneasy about contributing my time. During hurricane season, I watched as Prodisee Pantry delivered food to the southern and most impacted area of Baldwin County.
Prodisee Pantry is a wonderful organization and I greatly enjoy being a part of the volunteer team!

For over 15 years, Prodisee Pantry has helped fill the plate of our neighbors in need. Staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide families with hope and support to overcome obstacles.
Because of COVID-19, many new families needed assistance. Prodisee Pantry stepped forward providing leadership to our community. Weekly food distributions continued while maintaining a safe environment for all.
We are blessed to have Prodisee Pantry in our community.
I volunteer with several nonprofits in my community and I must say Prodisee Pantry is my absolute favorite. Not only do they tell you how much they appreciate you, they show you each and every time you walk in their door. The staff have huge hearts! They greet the patrons with respect and compassion every day. I know their job is tough but you would never know it by listening to them and watching them work. They are professional and work together to make volunteering with them a great experience. I can't thank them enough for the positive caring attitude they display each and every day.
Prodisee Pantry is a leading non-profit in our community. Not only do they provide food relief to all of our county, but they also connect organizations. They have created a great network that keep us connected and keeps our community working together and strong. A true leader non-profit!
Prodisee Pantry has been a part of our family for seventeen years. My children started volunteering with me as preschoolers. Sorting peanut butter from cans, adding two cans of corn to a family food box, sweeping floors and more, built character and a heart for others in my little ones. Now, they are older and still give back! Time is a gift that can be shared. Time has value just like donating cash or supplies. We all have time. Thanks for sharing your time with Prodisee Pantry as we help our neighbors with the most basic of human needs: food and hope!
The Prodisee Pantry has allowed me to connect with people I might have otherwise never known existed. The attitude, care and compassion of the volunteers of this incredible organization is simply amazing. Over a decade ago my family needed assistance because I was diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease. During the course of nearly a year my family never missed a meal because of the donations given to the Pantry that allowed them to bless us and many others.
Since that time I’ve volunteered with the Prodisee Pantry and have seen the positive impact we, as people who love others, have on the community at large. I’d imagine, if you talk to the vast majority of volunteers, you’d find that most of us are there because either we’ve been helped personally or someone we know has been touched.
My name is Debbie Nolen and I am the Lead Team Leader for Prodisee Pantry on the Wednesday night program. My group puts together all the food for the following Tuesday distribution. I have been volunteering with Prodisee for almost 10 years. I can't begin to tell you how blessed I have been being a part of such a needed and wonderful organization. I once was a single mom, and I understand what having a place like Prodisee means to so many. This place is a blessing to so many, without it I don't even know what would happen to all the families we are able to assist. God brought me to the pantry many years ago and he's kept me there for a reason.

I have been volunteering here for the last 8 years. This place is remarkable, the amount of families we get in on a weekly basis and the amount of food we are able to give each family is something like I have never seen. The people who volunteer for Prodisee Pantry are so loving and caring, they care for each and every family that comes to the pantry. I have met some of the most amazing people since working here. People that I would have never come in contact with. I also do home deliveries and the people I delivered to became more that just clients we had, they became my family. In the course of my life I have volunteered in a lot of places but none like Prodisee Pantry. It is amazing what our pantry has done for the community and how the community loves the Pantry. Thank you, Debbie Nolen
Prodisee Pantry Inc. is a God send for many people. They help not only by giving life saving food, but also offer items of personal needs. They dig into the lives of people and help them get their feet on the ground.
Prodisee Pantry provides this community and all of Baldwin County Al with boxes for food for needy families and the elderly. They vet the families needs and provide the appropriate level of help. They also offer job training and GED services, for free to participants. Our Daphne-Spanish Fort Kiwanis club and our supported high school Key Club members volunteer to help pack food boxes, and we all feel a great sense of reward knowing that we at helping those less fortunate than us. We personally support them with both with time and monetary donations. This is a awesome group of staff who run this "food bank" with incredible value with limited funds.
I volunteer on Tuesday mornings helping people take their groceries to their cars and help load them. It makes me happy to see the smiles on their faces, knowing they will have enough
groceries for at least a week. I enjoy volunteering because helping people is a "feel good" way
to use my spare time. The Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort helps people all over the area and is a Nonprofit organization. Those of us who volunteer do it because we want to. There are other ways to help people through Prodisee Pantry. One is by making a monetary donation
that is used to purchase especially needed food or foods. All help is helping people!
As an interviewer I am one of many volunteers each Tuesday at Prodisee Pantry. Each week I am reminded that, but for the grace of God, I could be the person needing food in order to survive or make ends meet.
I have interviewed the woman who had been homeless for more than a year but then had a place to stay and had job applications in already. She returned a second month because she hadn’t received her first paycheck yet.
I have heard the story of a man who lost his business and needed to feed his family that week and was extremely uncomfortable that he was no longer the breadwinner. He, too, did not need to return.
Then there are the grandparents living on Social Security or disability who are raising grandchildren and must come every month.
All of these people and many more with varied circumstances are welcomed once a month and receive at least a dozen non perishable items, in addition to meat and fresh produce.
Businesses have donated surplus bakery items, paper products, and leftover produce which are also added to their groceries.
Prodisee is not just a place to receive food. Sometimes the individual just needs a smile and a listening ear or a prayer or a referral to another agency. Dental and health screening, flu shots, and representatives from food stamps, free phones, housing, etc., are on site.
I am amazed at all Prodisee continues to do for our neighbors and fellow citizens. This is all because of donations of time, money, services, and products that individuals, churches, and businesses provide on a regular basis.
Come some Tuesday and sit with an interviewer or help fill the grocery carts. On Wednesday nights groups fill the boxes. Call to see which Saturday morning in November and December that help is needed. You will be so very blessed.
Amazing organization that truly cares about people and the community. If you need assistance, someone is there to for you.
This year, Prodisee Pantry has served almost 9,000 families by providing food, including fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need. The Pantry works with other organizations providing our clients an avenue to seek other services, such as medical and dental screenings, vision care, legal assistance and employment. Truly, more than a box of food!
I was retired when a young lady in our church talked about starting a program to help feed the hungry in our area. I really like that idea and started helping with it. It started out small but as people found out about the pantry, it grew and when hurricane Katrina hit our area, I was amazed how much the pantry helped. It is so we'll organized and one of the most amazing things is how it makes me feel as a volunteer. It is so rewarding. I could talk forever about that. Deann Servos uses every possible thing, every idea, every penny so effectively. It just gets better and better.
Prodisee Pantry serves 200 - 300 families during every weekly food distribution in a clean, easily accessible, and efficiently laid out operation that engages hundreds of volunteers. Prodisee Pantry provides healthy food options for the hungry in partnership programs with local farmers and food suppliers. Prodisee Pantry provides one-stop shopping for multiple assistance services for the needy by providing co-located service space for other non-profits during food distributions. Prodisee Pantry serves as a gathering space for community events that promotes a message of collaboration, goodwill, citizen engagement, and human dignity. Prodisee Pantry is a shining light in Baldwin County.
More than a box of food, Prodisee Pantry makes a difference! Each Tuesday morning, Prodisee Pantry provides food and hope to Baldwin County residents. In addition to food, assistance is provided to find medical care, social security benefits, financial and budgeting help and even employment. Prodisee Pantry provides hope!
Prodisee pantry is an amazing resource to our community. Families are able to have support in their most needed times.
Prodisee Pantry gives families in need a "hand up" and not a "hand out" . The staff and volunteers truly care about people and try to meet their needs in many ways other than food. Prodisee Pantry has successfully kept overhead costs low by using a large pool of quality volunteers to meet the needs of the many families who need temporary nutrition.
This is an amazing organization that has helped over 110,000 families in Baldwin County! Their mission is simply based on the Scripture, “I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” (Matthew 25:35)
As a member of the clergy, (and active board member) I can attest that the Prodisee Pantry is adept at expressing God's love for the marginalized in concrete ways. Access to food is a basic human need; Prodisee Pantry is laser-focused on helping those who are food-insecure in Baldwin County. It's about hunger.
I cannot read about Jesus feeding the multitudes without thinking of the Prodisee Pantry. In that story, Jesus said (very plainly), "feed them." And, despite all odds, the people were fed. Thanks be to God for the keen leadership, the energetic volunteer base, and the community's financial support.
Prodisee Pantry is a great steward of my time, talent, and treasure! I always feel better after working or donating there, knowing my time and money was well spent and will make a difference in my community. I love how they put people of all ages to work and make the most of everyone's gifts, and how clients are treated with such respect!
I have volunteered with a lot of nonprofits over the years and have never worked with an organization that works with a lower percentage operating cost. The organization is almost solely run by volunteers and they make a huge difference by the number of families and individuals that they reach in our county each year. I am very proud to be part of such a great organization that helps so many. They really do bring the community together to help those in need.

I am the Outreach Director at a local church who partners with the Prodisee Pantry. I do not know a more efficient, better run organization like them. Their overhead costs are extremely low and find a way to exceed the needs and expectations of thousands of clients in Baldwin County.
It is an honor to financially support them and have many members who volunteer there regularly. When people come to us who are hungry, the Prodisee Pantry staff is glad to accommodate the need.
We could not as effectively help hungry families without them.
One of the most professional and well-managed non profits I have experienced. Management and volunteers are so caring and motivated to help. The Board of Directors is active and follows best practices.
The Prodisee Pantry changes lives not just through food but by meeting the needs of people. It starts with food and then it leads into jobs, family needs, healthcare and so much more. The Prodisee Pantry is changing our community one grocery bag at a time, it is AMAZING!
The Prodisee Pantry is a local food pantry dedicated to serving needy families along the gulf coast. The organization has the best staff and volunteer group that I've ever been involved with!
i was on hand for the very first day of the Prodisee Pantry. We were started by a local United Methodist Church in 2003 and have become a multi-church, multi-community non-profit organization (2005) providing emergency food boxes to families in Baldwin County, Alabama. It has been a real blessing to see what caring community individuals can do when all faiths and all walks of life come together to serve their communities. Last year we served about 12,000 families with staple food boxes including fresh produce and bakery items either donated by individuals, corporate entities or purchased from our Area Food Bank. About 20,000 volunteer hours were logged by community members to achieve this amazing feat. The pantry has one full time and one part time employee. Last year we were able to purchase, renovate and move into a larger facility which has enabled us to carry on our ministry of providing HOPE to our less fortunate brothers and sisters in our county. I have been so blessed to be a tiny part of this ministry and humbled to realize that hunger is so real and so near to all of us if we will just open our eyes.
Providing HOPE by feeding physical, emotional and spiritual hunger! Prodisee Pantry's compassionate volunteers provide 1,000 + families each month with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, bread, boxes of staple groceries and warm smiles! It is about hunger! This volunteer run program can take a $20 donation and provide $120 worth of food to a needy family in Baldwin County. BUT, what makes this program special is that it understands that when someone comes in for the most basic of needs: food and a hug, there are other things going on. They coordinate and have on site other programs which address other needs such as jobs, counseling, utility and housing assistance and more. This community ministry will serve some 12,000 family visits this year. In the past eight year, the blessings of a caring word, referrals and groceries touched individuals 130,000 times!

I have volunteered at the Prodisee Pantry since approximately May 2007. My family and I have also been the recipient of their help.
First, my personal story. In July 2007 I was diagnosed as having Stage IV oropharyngeal cancer (a cancer of the head and neck). While I was undergoing treatment for the same I became unable to work -- I was basically bedridden for months. Each and every week Deann Servos, the Executive Director of the Prodisee Pantry, took the time to bring my family food. I can't begin to tell you the debt of gratitude that I owe her for being so kind and generous. Without the donations given to the Prodisee Pantry and without servants such as Deann my wife and our two children (then 8 and 4) may not have been able to eat as well as they did.
As a pastor who actively serves the community, I'm confronted nearly every day with those who are in dire straits. When disaster strikes or the economy takes a downward turn people hurt. Being there for those who are hurting is where the Prodisee Pantry excels.
Since 2007 the Prodisee Pantry has played a pivotal role in bringing together several organizations, under one roof, so that those who live in Baldwin county know where to go to get help. From the Salvation Army to Project Rebound and the Council on Aging to BARC - local Humane Society -- the Prodisee Pantry, under the leadership of Deann Servos, is providing our clients with many different types of help.
The primary goal of the Prodisee Pantry is providing food for single parents, unemployed and under-employed households, families in transition, homeless, retirees and grandparents raising grandchildren. Last year we helped around 35,000 people eat healthy, nutritious meals.
Although I live in Mobile (a county adjacent to Baldwin), I'm more than happy to drive the nearly 40 miles (round trip) each week to serve those in need. The Prodisee Pantry is a great way to meet people where they are, to serve them in a way that doesn't embarrass them and to give back to the community.
