As a proud advocate of the P.R.O.S.P.E.R. program, I am thrilled to share my experience and insights with the Great Nonprofits community. P.R.O.S.P.E.R. stands for Preparation, Resilience, Opportunity, Support, Purpose, Empowerment, and Reintegration, and indeed, it lives up to its name in every aspect. <br> <br>The P.R.O.S.P.E.R. program is an exceptional initiative that serves as a beacon of hope and support for veterans transitioning into civilian life. Through its multifaceted approach, it addresses the holistic needs of veterans, providing them with the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to thrive in their post-service journey. <br> <br>One of the program's standout features is its Veteran Transitional Pathway Program. This core area shines a spotlight on the challenges veterans face when transitioning back into civilian life and offers specialized programs and resources tailored to their unique needs. From career development workshops to mental health support services, the program leaves no stone unturned in ensuring veterans have the support they need to succeed.

<br><br>My experience with QuadE was a great one. I recently started a new job within the first 90 day period. My insurance was not effective yet and I was sick from work and needed a doctor’s note to be excused. Thankfully a resource center like QuadE was available for me to see my options. When walking into their facility I was not only greeted with great service, but it was done with sincerity and care. When needing help of any kind thats all people want is to not feel like a burden. QuadE treated my situation exceptionally well. I say this because the staff went above and beyond for me to be seen at a walk-in clinic. They exhausted every resource and connection they could on a Friday afternoon. When one of the resources couldn’t cover my walk-in visit like we had hope. QuadE made it their interest to reimburse my walk-in clinic visit fee for $75 themselves. They didn't have to use their own funds to reimburse me but they knew my situation with starting a new job and worker with me. Naomi and Tim run Victory Haven and have a 2 hour Monday night group that meets at 6:30pm in Richmond Hill. I had no idea the healing that I'd receive by following the advice I heard in their group. On the first night I thought that the group was one that met in order to eat vegan food. Well, that did happen once a month at the pot luck, but the other 3 weeks of the month Naomi and Tim, through pleasant nonjudgemental information, documentaries, demonstrations and advice, offered me a way to get healthy again. <br><br>You don't have to be vegan to be in the group. It is for everyone. The premise is: food is medicine. I thought that I was doing well as a long-time vegetarian, but I had fibromyalgia, acid reflux, leg swelling, growths on my back that the doctor said would never go away, and back pain running 8-9 on the pain scale. The doctors wanted to put me on opioids and that was scary. <br><br>I followed Naomi and Tim's advice to a 'T' and guess what - ALL the conditions I just mentioned WENT AWAY in 1.5 months!!! Yes, no back growths, NO pain, legs swelling disappeared, along the fibromyalgia and acid reflux! Just talking about things is not enough, you have to take action and Naomi and Tim are there to support you on your journey, as they supported her in banishing her cancer through food. I gave up processed food, sugar, meat, caffeine, alcohol and, In my case, grains. You don't have to go that far, but it worked for me. Take away the bad and you get the good, plus enjoy good company at the meetings. Thank you Naomi and Tim!!<br><br>Marsha Sands

This is a small but dedicated group of animal lovers who attempt to address the needs of stray, abandoned and homeless dogs and cats. They raise money to subsidize spaying and neutering, foster animals, and try to find homes for them. A long term goal is a no-kill animal shelter. Everything they do is on a minuscule budget, funded by bake sales and small local donations. With few resources, this group accomplishes many small miracles, and they deserve all the support in the world.

Wreaths for Warriors Walk (W4WW) honors the soldiers of 3rd Infantry Division who have died while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families. W4WW holds a ceremony at Fort Stewart, GA at noon on the second Saturday in December. Family members of the fallen are invited and the ceremony is open to the public. Those in attendance are invited to place a wreath on a tree until every tree has a wreath. W4WW uses donations to furnish all wreaths. W4WW board members are unpaid volunteers and the ceremony is staffed by volunteers from local veteran groups, scout troops, JROTC, Civil Air Patrol, and motorcycle clubs.
