This is my 3rd time serving with Show Mercy. Every time I come here, this place and this staff bless me so much! Show Mercy is organized with everything that they do. I always feel so safe and cared for during my time staying here. The outreaches are well organized so that every person who comes to serve gets to experience things both within and far beyond their comfort zone. I've gotten to experience an array of different things, with many different age ranges, and serving alongside many different people and staff members. One of my favorite things is that the staff does so much beyond what their job description calls them to do. They sit with us at meals, play games with us, and truly take part in the fellowship that happens among the different teams serving here. This place feels like family whether you come with family, friends, or even strangers. Magic truly happens here, and I pray that this ministry will thrive for a very long time!
I did not know what to expect at Show Mercy. My daughter had come previously and then I returned with her. SMI does an amazing job of reaching the community in an organized fashion by providing care in many facets, ranging from medical clinics, pregnancy centers, and schools where children receive meals, education and learn about Jesus Christ. They utilize leaders in different villages to identify the most vulnerable members including children, single mothers, and the elderly and provide for their needs including food, soap, clothes, small chores in and around the house, all while praying for their deepest needs and sharing the gospel of Christ with them and leaving them smiling!
I just finished spending the last two weeks in Uganda serving with Show Mercy International. I love this ministry and it is the fourth time that I have served with them since 2019. The ministry has improved year by year if that's even possible as it is so terrific and far surpass anyone 's dreams of helping on a mission. The staff are wonderful and kind and treat you like family.. There are many ways to help in this ministry. When you are at the base, you have the opportunity to try different aspects of the ministry or focus in on what you feel your best giftings are. I enjoyed visiting the elderly and each time they put together many opportunities for me to interact with them. I also love visiting my sponsor kids and watching them grow. I love the staff there and have grown quite close to them all. They treat me like I am their sister or their mother. + shower me with love. Each time I'm there, I feel so overwhelmed and grateful for all the love and effort that they pour into me. They help me grow my relationship with God. + Help me refocus on him when I return home to Canada as well. Thank you for all you do to help us to serve. Thank you for all you do to help Uganda. God bless you SMI

I love SMI and have served with them three times so far- in 2019,2022 & 2023 for two week intervals. I enjoy the various ministries I have gotten to assist with and the opportunities to witness and experience the way of life of Ugandans and the struggles they have. I feel in these short missions that I have gained an understanding of the Ugandan people and the love they have for each other. I felt 100% cared for and felt fully safe every moment of the journey. I am leaving for home today and am already planning for when I can return. Thank you SMI!!!
I LOVE show mercy so very much! This trip was my third time in Uganda with Show Mercy and it has changed my life! All of the staff ate so encouraging and spreading the gospel with them is so inspiring!
Show Mercy has continued to surpass any expectations I had. They are the most wonderful and welcoming hosts, the most God-fearing people, and just have such genuine hearts for The Lord. Show Mercy has continued to grow me through the various outreach opportunities like evangelism, primary school, and through their child sponsorship program. Show Mercy is this best non profit I have ever experienced, and I hope to come back soon!
Show Mercy is an amazing organization to be a part of! From discipleship in prisons and villages, to elementary school outreaches; show mercy has a place for all spiritual gifts to be shared with an amazing group of people. I highly recommend bringing the whole family to come and serve with this wonderful organization!
I absolutely love this organization. This is my second time here and I want to continue coming back year after year. I have never met a more welcoming and spirit filled staff. Never experienced such joy as I have here. Genuinely I could never use adequate wording to explain how amazing this place and these people are. The outreach is so organized and every aspect is led with the spirit first.
I had the most incredible experience while I was in Uganda with Show Mercy. I could never praise the staff enough. They are the most precious and hospitable people I have ever met. The facilities are very nice and the compound is beautiful. I loved that we had the opportunity to do a variety of outreaches. The outreach activities we did and the people we met was truly life changing. I genuinely cannot wait to be back!
Best experience of my life! Best staff ever! Show mercy is so intentional, real, and hands down the best organization I’ve ever worked with. They are so God centred, and they are so encouraging. Cannot wait to come back again!!
Hello! My name is Mallory Reedy and this is my second year coming to Show Mercy and another year that I experienced change. Change in my perspective, heart, and spiritual walk. Show Mercy has a staff that loves wholeheartedly for everyone they encounter. The staff prepares a well planned week that is thought out of different ways to present the gospel to the people here. My walk with Christ was challenged and transformed with my time with Show Mercy.
My name is Caden McGarity, and I can confidently say there is no place on earth like Show Mercy. This is my fourth year to Uganda and my second to Show Mercy International. Jesus is evident in the lives of the staff, and there is peace, love, power, and hope here.
My highlight moment of the trip involves a month long prayer. Last year I was able to deliver a baby on my birthday at the clinic and was believing that it would happen again. At midnight when I thought it wasn’t going to happen, I was informed that a mother showed up and was in labor. I broke down in the moment in awe of God’s love and grace to answer my prayer. Myself and two other team members were able to not only help deliver one baby, but also two more that came in during the night. One was a 14 year old that experienced a terrible act, but, in what the enemy intended for good, God was able to redeem and bring life. I am so blessed to be able to be a part of God’s work, and He is doing miraculous things every single day. Praise the Lord. Yesu Akwagala!

This nonprofit is amazing! They have so many facilities that help with the need of many people here in Uganda. I love the staff and have loved getting to talk to them. They are so encouraging and welcoming to everyone. The joy that they show everyone is something I look up to. If I needed anything, they were always ready to drop what they were doing and help me. This has been an incredible trip and I am so glad Show Mercy was here to provide for us. This amazing experience will be one I will never forget.

I have enjoyed my time here at Show Mercy in the short time I have been here. The staff is so caring and loving, and they served us so well. Every staff member made sure to make each one of us feel loved and seen while we were here and also out on the village. Show Mercy was able to take us out into the town to meet some of the most welcoming people who were yearning to know God more or hear about him for the very first time. I felt safe the entire trip and never experienced any uncomfortableness. All of the facilities at show mercy exemplify grace and God's love for His people. The health clinic was very kind and welcoming to all of the volunteers, allowing us to step in and help them when needed. I cannot say enough good things about show mercy, and I hope to return here again soon!!
I absolutely love being with Show Mercy in Uganda. They give us the opportunity to share the gospel and love on other people and they also stretch us. It’s an experience of lifetime and I am so thankful for show mercy
Hi, I’m Grady Stewart, and I got to come to ShowMercy with my church. One outreach, I got the opportunity to go to a public pregnancy center here in a village in Uganda. With several other team members and members of the ShowMercy staff, we got to go into the pregnancy center and pray for the women in labor or who had just given birth. One woman named Rachel specifically asked us to pray for her daughter who was in active labor. We prayed for a smooth and easy birth with no complications, then left to other areas to pray for other women. Later, Rachel came up to us and told us her daughter had just given birth, and I got the opportunity to name the baby. It was one of the coolest opportunities of my life. ShowMercy shows a lot of care for the people of Uganda, building genuine relationships with the people around them.
This has been a surreal experience. The staff has been nothing but kind to me and the team. You can truly tell that they love their job and love the team that they work with. It has been such a life changing week to work along them.
Just finished my second trip to Show Mercy spending a week. I can truly say that Show Mercy is an amazing organization sharing the gospel and giving back to the community. From providing lunch for children to discipling the community, everything here is done with intention and love.
I had an amazing time at ShowMercy in Uganda this past week. The staff is so kind and hospitable and made my team feel right at home. They provided amazing meals and encouraging words. They also are so intentional in choosing outreaches and organizing schedules so that we could have an amazing time.

My time at Show Mercy was fantastic! Working alongside the staff was a great blessing as we served the people of the community with deep needs. Interactions with the community are inspired by the Holy Spirit and everything is done out of love! The most impactful moments during our visit were the times when it was evident that God was moving and accomplishing his will from our obedience. This trip is life changing as the love of the Ugandan people inspires team members to boldly share the love of God while fostering to physical needs. This ministry is very intentional to create relationships with the people we interact with, creating lifelong discipleship to Christ. Show Mercy intentionally seeks to do God's will and it is very evident that God is in it by the impacts and testimonies I witnessed and experienced while I was here. I would encourage anyone to go boldly for Christ and Show Mercy in Uganda is a great place to do so!!!

I love the intentionality the staff has for sharing the gospel as they love the people in the villages so well!

This has been my fourth trip to Show Mercy.
Every trip has been more amazing to me than the ones before. It is wonderful to witness God at work here in Uganda. I feel indescribably blessed to serve alongside the staff that are loving and showing Gods love to the people here and our team.
This was my third time coming here to Show Mercy. God willing I will come back again. Ten days of amazing, God led, Holy Spirit, Gospel spreading huge variety of outreaches. I honestly couldn’t share everything that I experienced without writing a book.
Everything is done with intentionality of drawing people into the Kingdom of God. Not leaving one person behind.
I am so blessed and grateful and overwhelmed by the experience I have had here.
This has been my first-ever mission trip, and I have been blown away by the Show Mercy organization, staff, and results. I have never loved on so many people in such a short time in so many circumstances. The hand of God is definitely working through these people and into the lives of others. I have seen so many lives transformed in my two weeks here! They are changing the world, one person at a time! Thanks for allowing me to play a small part in that. God is good!
Show Mercy is a PHENOMENAL organization! The work they are doing is outstanding! Not only do they serve vulnerable communities by uniquely meeting their needs, but they also love each individual as if they were family. This ministry is remarkable. Serving alongside Show Mercy has challenged me to serve and love on a new level. I am forever marked and transformed by this ministry.
Through my time in Uganda with Show Mercy, God has completely transformed my life. I had the incredible privilege of dedicating a baby boy to the Lord and witnessing 27 men surrender their lives to Christ. Seeing His power at work firsthand deepened my faith and gave me a renewed purpose. This experience has forever changed me, and I am in awe of God’s grace and love in action.
This is my first time to Show Mercy in Uganda and words cannot express how blessed I feel for being given the opportunity to come and serve along side this amazing team. The staff here have each been given the heart of a servant and they give selflessly day after day. The way they care for their communities, the way they pray for their communities, the way the lift up their communities is inspiring. God is moving here in Uganda and I am so grateful that they allowed me to come and be a small part.
My experience with show mercy international has been nothing short of life-changing! From the very first day I was treated like family. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating- they made me feel right at home. I had the opportunity to volunteer at the medical clinic, assist the midwives with deliveries and postnatal appointments, and participate in evangelism and community activities with the kids. Everything this organization does is guided by faith and prayer. Their impact on the surrounding community is so incredible! Thank you Show Mercy, I can’t wait to come back.
My experience with Show Mercy has been amazing. I have loved every minute of being with Show Mercy. The staff at Show Mercy was so welcoming and led our team so well. At SMI they are so spirit led in everything they do whether it being making bricks, painting a house, or evangelizing the Lord was all in it. We got to truly love the people of Uganda with the love of Jesus while partnering with Show Mercy. We saw over 80 salvations this week! Praise the Lord! These people are now family to me and always will be!
My name is Cale McCoy and I'm college student. My team and I visited for a week and had so much fun. More importantly we saw the Lord move in some incredible ways. He personally grew my relationship with Him in ways I never knew was possible. I will miss this place so much when I leave and was also fortunate enough to sponsor a sweet little girl. The Lord has His hand on this place. Blessings
The way that the Lord works in and through Show Mercy is powerful! After being here for 10 days, the Lord has revealed himself to me through the way he worked in the community and through the way the staff has loved us! I love this place!
I am leaving Uganda today after 10 days with Show Mercy International. It has been the most incredible time of my life! The Show Mercy Staff goes above and beyond to serve the people of Uganda. Whether they are working in the medical clinic, making visits to vulnerable children, packing food for families, or cleaning houses for the elderly, Show Mercy gives it their all and they do it with love. I love Show Mercy!!!!
Amazing staff, and amazing work they are doing. They are super in tune with their community and they truly love the people around them. Good example of christs love! Amazing experience ! Can’t wait to come back!
This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The Show Mercy staff loves boldly, serves humbly, and lives out the Great Commission through every action they take. Each individual is passionate about seeing lives changed, and they are determined to equip those who come to Uganda to be able to show the love of Christ no matter where they are by pushing them outside their comfort zone. Through evangelism, the medical clinic, the school, agriculture, discipleship, and so much more, Show Mercy proves that it is possible to live a life for Christ in all you do. I’m so thankful I came here, and I would do this every single year if possible.
This has changed my life. I got to see so many people accept Christ. The staff loved on us and were so intentional. I plan to come back ASAP. Can not reccomend this enough. Best thing you will ever be apart of. Thanking Jesus for this experience forever.
It’s hard to find a place to start; Show Mercy International is nothing short of amazing. It has been the best experience with an even better staff. The staff members here are warriors for Jesus Christ accompanied by a passion to make the surrounding communities the same. They are caring, loving, hospitable, and generous people. If you haven’t been, you should.
Thank you so much to the Show Mercy team, who welcomed us at the airport with a huge hug, water, and a taxi! This is my second trip to Uganda to serve with Show Mercy and I honestly don't think I could serve anyplace better! This team is evidently in love with Jesus, and it overflows every place they go. Show Mercy is a respected organization in the community and it has been a complete honor to serve alongside them. From the elderly visits, the school visits, the water well commissioning, the brick making, to the church worship, the evangelism trips and the sponsorship program, my heart truly cannot be any fuller. I can't wait to come back, to serve with my Ugandan FAMILY. Thank you, Show Mercy, for the eternal impact you are making! God bless you!
From the moment we were picked up at the airport I felt so welcomed and taken care of! The Show Mercy staff are so incredible and have such a contagious love for the Lord. I could stay here serving forever. Thank you Show Mercy for a lifechanging week that I will never forget.
Volunteering with Show Mercy is one of the greatest experiences of my life! I absolutely loved working with the people there. They are so amazing! I loved working with the children and communities in the villages. The people here changed my life! I would love to come back!
Volunteering with Show Mercy was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The things this organization is doing is mind blowing. There are many souls being eternally saved through the meeting of the physical needs of the Ugandans. This is what is all about... bringing souls to Christ while showing His love through demonstrating our love for others.
Working with Show Mercy International was a great experience, and I got a glimpse into some of the things they are doing. They are doing so much for the community in Uganda and are meeting so many needs by giving people physical help where they need it and spiritual help where there is a great need as well. Whether it is digging water wells, making bricks, building benches for churches, feeding villages or giving out beds, they are meeting so many of the needs of the community around them. While doing this, they are also ministering to peoples spiritual needs. Whether they are non-believers, new believers, or mature believers, they are meeting them where they are at, sharing the gospel with non-believers, discipling new believers, and fellowshipping with mature believers.
What a blessing to be in Uganda in partnership with Show Mercy! All of us came with the goal of being the hands and feet of Jesus and being a blessing to the beautiful people of Uganda. It was a fruitful, spirit-filled week, but so much of the blessing was ours! Uganda with Show Mercy has been indescribably beautiful. We will return home bold and courageous for the sake of the gospel. So grateful!
My week at Show Mercy has been amazing! The joy of Jesus is so evident here. The Holy Spirit shines through the staff and community!
What a wonderful week of serving alongside the amazing staff of Show Mercy!! Such love shown to us from the staff! The accommodations were great, the food was amazing, & the opportunities for outreach couldn’t have been better!! God willing—I will be back!!
I had the opportunity to visit Show Mercy for the first time recently and the only issue I had was that I hadn’t visited sooner!
The staff at SMI is absolutely amazing and the ministries that they have created and continue to help grow are a true blessing. I’m so happy to be able to be a small part of what Show Mercy does!
Show Mercy excels in leading and encouraging volunteer teams through a variety of outreaches that serve all ages from babies to elderly. While they work to meet physical needs, they always focus on spiritual needs. I encourage everyone to pray about going to Uganda and serving with this amazing team. There are other ways to get involved by sponsoring a child or donating to their many programs. #wegettodothis
My time with Show Mercy has completely changed my life. The presence of the Lord here is so evident and undeniable! The staff has built us up and encouraged us as we walked in our callings! I am so moved by the love, joy, and kindness poured on me while serving here!
I would recommend anyone to come and serve alongside the Show Mercy team! Jesus is the center of every single outreach, and it is truly beautiful to witness the lives impacted by Show Mercy! The Holy Spirit had His way this week, and I am beyond grateful He allowed me to be a part of it! Thank you, Show Mercy and thank you, Jesus!!
Life changing experience. The staff at Show Mercy exceeded any expectation I ever had. Their hearts for the Lord and what he is doing in their communities is truly inspiring. I do not have enough good words for all the missions they are doing. I left home thinking I was going to help but the people did far more for my heart and life than I could even imagine. They are now family and the people of Uganda have a special place in my heart after this trip. You can feel Jesus in Uganda and Show Mercy!
This is an amazing place . Everyday you do a different outreach.
Building a garden for a Jajja in need .
The next day you are teaching young children, then the next day you are commissioning newly built water well.
Yes it is hard work. Yes it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done . Yes it will change your life!
My name is Ryleigh Crocker, and this is the first mission trip I’ve ever been on. When I boarded the plane in Jackson, Mississippi, I didn’t think my life would be so radically changed. The staff were so insanely welcoming and encouraging. I’ve never seen people who are so on fire for the Lord. I went with the intention that I would serve the community, but the community blessed me in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
Show Mercy is amazing! It’s a great place with amazing people! Loved my time here and I hope to come back as soon as I can.
My stay at Show Mercy felt something like a story book. The base is beautiful and life-giving, and the staff are unbelievably cheerful, friendly, and hospitable. The oasis of western amenities in the midst of rural Uganda is also quite impressive, and I honestly didn't feel like I was missing anything.
Beyond being simply friendly, the staff have inspiring Christian character, and going on the outreaches with them was both fun and an amazing growing experience. I stayed for 13 days and got to participate in just about every operation they do, including everything from children's ministry, to building wells, to evangelism in the villages. It was not always easy, but it was a true adventure and I experienced immense personal growth as I continually stepped outside my comfort zone and was glad I did it every time.
Whether this is your first missions experience or you have already gone on missions in the past, I would highly recommend Show Mercy. This is the real deal.
ShowMercy really impressed me with its mindfulness towards building up the community rather than creating dependence. They do a wonderful job of serving the physical needs of the community as well as sharing Jesus through their outreaches. They strive to partner with local churches and follow up with new converts. They are taking powerful and practical steps of faith here in Uganda!
This place is too good to be true. My family and I were transformed with the opportunity to participate in God's work. I was skeptical before arriving but was soon blown away by the significance of the tasking and the response by the staff. They truly are the hands and feet of Christ. This ministry was life changing for my family and we are eternally grateful.
This was a life changing trip! The staff at Show Mercy is incredible and will love and encourage you! The people in the community are amazing and kind! It was such a blessing to meet and love them all! Going to the camp is like a glimpse of heaven! I loved it so much and I saw God all over the trip!
There are no words to describe this ministry! The people at Show Mercy are amazing--the Spirit in them is evident in everything they do. There are various ministry opportunities for all types of personalities and giftings. The staff at SM are there through it all to encourage and guide you as well as push you out of your comfort zone--gently and lovingly.
This was my first mission experience and it as good as I think it can get. The staff was extremely family and intentional with everyone. They are very active in the community and there is no telling how many people they have touched.
Show Mercy was the most well run and prophetically minded and run organization I have ever worked with on the mission field.
This trip has changed me and how I see people I really like this trip and seeing the people and fellowship with the people
Over two weeks with show mercy and 18 other members of our church team, I have been profoundly impacted by seeing the difference they are making here in Uganda. It truly does matter. They are very dedicated, and use all of their resources so wisely. And they are filled with such love! I highly recommend this experience
Show Mercy is super organized and caring, they do whatever it takes to keep you safe and for you to keep having a good time. It was a little emotional because we have so much and yet still think we need more and more and more, while they have almost nothing and are still laughing and smiling and having hope. They are also so loving and caring to you, and they don't even know who you are, it breaks your heart seeing how they treat each other and how we treat each other, it's a big difference.
Show Mercy International (SMI) is a FANTASTIC group! They love God so much and love the people around them. They are so welcoming and encouraging as well. Their goal is to provide long-term solutions to people in need, and they do just that. My experience surrounding the SMI staff, their facilities, activities, and outreaches/ministry opportunities has been absolutely spectacular. I definitely recommend serving alongside Show Mercy to everyone!
Show Mercy International is an amazing organisation. They have a deep love for God and their community and support those in need in practical ways. They are warm and welcoming and encourage you to participate in their outreaches. I highly recommend paying them a visit.
Show Mercy International staff are rooted in scripture and they care selflessly for us and their community. I have never seen people that work so hard for the Lord, who consistently show up in every ministry they are doing, care for the deepest spiritual and physical needs of others, and have a deep love of Jesus. I always felt well cared for and valued here. They have many ministries and they somehow do them ALL well! It's incredible. My particular favorites are the elderly ministry and the prison ministry. They are serving the Lord with all they have. I highly recommend this organization.
I LOVE Show Mercy and their heart for people! Being able to go alongside the team here is so rewarding that I want to come back again and again! The Show Mercy grounds are so beautiful and the staff is amazing!
Show Mercy International is an amazing group of people who are truly the hands and feet of Jesus. They serve teams, each other, and the community by anticipating needs and using their resources wisely! I would highly recommend them if you are planning a mission trip to Africa!
Now that I have been home for one week and have had a chance to process the wonderful experience at Show Mercy, I am reminded of the importance of spreading the gospel message to all. Show Mercy is a place that I would love to return to and to be a part of the ministry. Jesus said love your neighbor and we need to ask ourselves who is our neighbor? I think one of the best answers is found in the parable of the good Samaritan. I think from this wonderful story it is not about asking who our neighbor is but our own willingness to be a neighbor and be ready to love others. Show Mercy does this on a daily basis. Following the Bible passage in John 13:34, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." By following this Bible passage in our hearts, being a neighbor to everyone is of the upmost importance. It starts with us...Thank you Show Mercy
Amazing people, amazing facility, amazing outreaches and ministry!! I am SO grateful for my experience and the love and support provided by the team!! I have learned so much from everyone I have met!
Thank you so much to the SMI staff for showering the community with God's love and showing us how we can tangibly make a difference in God's name. Each staff member was absolutely amazing and so full of joy, peace, and love for their work and included volunteers in every outreach. I will remember this time forever.
This experience is wonderful filled witth beautiful people and passion for others and loving for caring for our stay and loving kindness and fun to be around. you can fill the love of staff and their compassion.
The staff at SMI have the Lord first in all that they do. They love the community and show this love through actions. Time spent at SMI will push anyone to share and show Gods Love to all the people of Uganda.
Wow!!! where do i begin? This organization did a phenominal job preparing for us to be here and to do the work that the Lord has layed on our hearts. They were attentive, accomidaing and just overall helpful all the way. Ultimately, they displayed the light of Christ with every step and decision they made. I will definitely return in the future!!!
My name is Racheal. What a blessing it is to serve with Show Mercy International. It is amazing!! how you love on others but then find fulfillment yourself as you serve others. Indeed Show Mercy is the hands and feet of Jesus. You will truly find purpose as you serve with this wonderful Organization. The children, the elderly are a huge blessing to serve. The Prison ministry, teen mom ministry, men and women fellowship are so impactful. THANK YOU SHOW MERCY!! for all you are doing to restore hope and bring about transformation. GOD BLESS YOU!!
This Mission has really done so much in their community and beyond. From placing over 80 water wells for fresh water to providing food, health care, hope love and compassion to so many people here that are in need. When it was time for me to leave I did not want to go! Everyone here is loving and welcoming and they do a wonderful job explaining the current situations of all the community programs they are involved in. They love what they do and I have truly fallen in love with this country and the beautiful people.
My experience on this trip was very great. I got to help out with children, adults, and babies in need. I also got to experience how people in Uganda live. I got to talk with a lot of amazing staff here and they made me feel very comforted and happy to be here. Show Mercy leaves such a great impact on everyone's life and they encourage so many people. You learn that faith and God works in so may different ways here and how much quality time could mean to people in Uganda.
Love it and I wish that everyone reading this would come to spend time at Show Mercy International to love on the kids, seniors, and anyone that are in need of help.
MORE IS NOT ENOUGH!!!
The work that is happening here is amazing! These people know their community well, and so know how to serve them well. Everything they do starts with the love of Jesus, and no matter where they are serving, they put Jesus first. I was amazed at how many different outreaches they have here and how big their impact is in their community.
If you want to see the love of God played out in everyday life, come be a part of this ministry!
ShowMercy goes above and beyond for the Gospel. They love Jesus and others so well, and I firmly believe that’s why this organization runs so well and why it continues to grow.

I have LOVED my time here!! The staff is amazing and I couldn’t be happier with the experience I had. The work we got to do was nothing short of extraordinary.
This was my third trip to SMI Each time is better than the last because we get to reunite with the staff and continue relationships that were started on previous trip!0
Show Mercy is a shining example of the love that we are called to share with our brothers and sisters around the world. Our team was greeted with open arms and we left knowing that we we were all love as Christ would love.
this organization is amazing. i am so thankful to work along with them as they serve the Lord and the people in Uganda. i will be back, and bring back others.
My time at Show Mercy was truly amazing! The love of Jesus was evident in every aspect of our visit here. From the staff to all the outreaches we were loved and cared for so that we could further share the love of Jesus with everyone we met! My heart is forever changed. Mukama Yebazibwa!
I had never been on any mission trip in my life. I researched about many places in Africa and the many different organizations and church groups that do outreach programs throughout Africa. I finally settled with Uganda. I looked at several groups and I even thought of going over just on my own without an organization. Show Mercy kept coming up in my search and each time I liked what I was seeing with Show Mercy International. I would watch videos on Youtube of the group. They also have social media profiles of the organization. I chose Show Mercy International. From the beginning, it was a very smooth process. They have you set up a profile on their web page, where they set up a fundraiser, and it will have all the steps you will be required to complete prior to traveling to Uganda. You are given emails from Show Mercy and will have a contact in the USA that will help you through any questions. You will also have a contact in Uganda. They even send you a video of the person that will be picking you up at the airport. That is correct, you do not need to find a ride. They provide the transportation unless you decide to travel on your own personal time. Meals were taken care of, your housing, they have great security. The staff are the most amazing people you will meet at any organization. They have many outreach programs, however I told them that I will do whatever needs to be done. I got a well rounded experience. The time here goes by so fast. I will miss Show Mercy and all those that work here. Be prepared for a culture shock. I have travelled internationally before but experiencing in person in Uganda was amazing and heart breaking at the same time. I plan to return in the near future but next time with my family so they may experience Uganda and helping others. Thank you Show Mercy for the love you have shown me. You all have worked so hard. I will miss you all... Until we meet again.... your most sincere friend, Brian Davis
I got to spend over a week here being a part of the different types of outreaches that are done here. The staff goes above and beyond to show these children the Gospel and love them well. Their accommodations are amazing for guests that come and visit and they have 24/7 security.
I first came here for a week in March of 2020, with a team from Pinelake Church. We had a great time and I knew I wanted to come back!
I decided to go back for the internship for 8 weeks. I had a wonderful time getting to know the staff and spending time with the kids. I sponsor a little boy and got to see him a ton during my time here! I highly recommend visiting and/or giving to this organization, I love them so much!
Show Mercy is one of the best nonprofit mission-based organizations I have ever been part of. The work they are doing in Uganda is absolutely incredible! The dedication of their staff and the tireless ways they love and serve the local communities is unlike anything I've ever seen. It has been a tremendous blessing and an honor for me to serve in outreaches alongside them!
I spent two months serving the community alongside Show Mercy staff. I have never felt so sure I was exactly where God wanted me to be, and I hope to return someday. The flexibility and opportunities to participate in multiple ministries and settings is perfect for an individual or a team of any size. The accommodations are very safe and comfortable, in the middle of a village where ministry is just outside the gate, or even inside the gate when children and teens come to enjoy games and educational opportunities. I will never be the same and am so grateful God led me to Show Mercy International.
In my 12 days here, I've seen at least 8 people come to Christ during our time here. There has been many opportunities to lead people in prayer, in teachings about Christ and to share my knowledge of agriculture and how God is our provider, who loves us all.
I am continually overwhelmed by how the staff at SMI live out the Gospel in every aspect of their program. The SMI mission to mobilize, inspire and empower individuals to live life on purpose while reaching out in love is central to each outreach we went on in Uganda, and since being back in the States I have watched that mission impact my life as well!
My week in Uganda with Show Mercy International was exceptional from start to finish. I can not say enough good things about the staff and the way they poured into not only our Pinelake team but also into the local community. Show Mercy is changing lives by reaching out in love and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to witness just a small glimpse of it.
Being adopted into the Show Mercy staff for 5 weeks has transformed me, woke me up until I felt more alive than I have ever felt. Mukama yebazibwe [Praise the Lord]!
I always have deeply valued moments of joy, but until I experienced it in Uganda I could not have imagined how much joy people can radiate and how much joy you can experience in a week. It was nearly impossible to be around staff members or being on an outreach and not experience joy. 'Joy' is the shortest, but nevertheless complete, summary of my stay in Uganda. Mukama mulungi [God is good]!
There is so much joy in greeting each other, in encouraging each other, in loving each other, in worshipping together, in serving together, in playing together. And that's exactly what you are invited to do the whole day at SMI! With all my heart I thank God that He brought me to SMI and I thank all the staff members for showing me what it means to live in the deepest sense. Webale nyo nyo nyo [Thank you so much]! With love, Clarize Nakimuli [my Ugandan name which means flower]
Show Mercy has a beautiful property and the most amazing staff! I stayed for just under two weeks and had a wonderful time. Everyone was so welcoming. They made me feel comfortable and safe throughout every part of my stay. Everyone on staff has such a strong relationship with the Lord, and they work to share that with everyone they come in contact with.
Show Mercy is a Gospel centered organization that seeks to serve physical, medical, educational, and spiritual needs in the community. From drilling water wells in communities that do not have access to clean drinking water, to providing medical care for people in need, Show Mercy is focused on changing lives by empowering foreign and local workers alike to bind together in order to spread the love of Jesus, all the while equipping local Ugandans with ways and tools to pull themselves out of poverty. They are building up and sending out local Ugandans to partner with leaders in rural Ugandan communities in a unified effort to transform the lives of other Ugandans with the ultimate goal of seeing the Gospel spread, Jesus glorified, and Uganda changed, one life-change story at a time.
Thank you to SMI and all the hardworking staff!
We appreciate you letting us be a part of the great work loving the people here!
Show Mercy International goes all in for Jesus. Everyday they have opportunities to go out and share the Gospel with the local villages. You are amongst many beliefs and religions in which have false teaching, but we see many drop those beliefs and raise up to claim Jesus Christ as the Savior. Everyone at Show Mercy is an encouragement to you in your walk. And it feels as if it were a family from day one. I will always look back on this trip and be thankful that God took the fear out of me of stepping out of my comfort zone. I look forward to the future of Show Mercy.
This was my first Missions Trip to Uganda and while I was with Show Mercy International, I truly have nothing but good things to say about them. The staff here was incredible, the other short term missions team that I also got to meet were amazing to be a part of, and just being in this environment has such a way to get you out of your comfort zone in the most amazing way you could imagine. I really couldn't recommend them enough. Although, I don't think I'll be able to come back in the near future, I do look forward to returning one day and seeing everyone again at the Show Mercy base and see what else they will do to bring me out of my comfort zone.
Show Mercy International has made such an impact on my life through this trip! From the very beginning at the airport pickup to the very last day, I was truly welcomed with loving hearts. Everything they do is through God's love and mercy. They are so involved with everyone in the communities. They believe in helping everyone by creating relationships with the people of the communities and showing God's love through words, actions, and God's Word! This trip has truly been life changing. I will be back!
My second experience at Show Mercy will be a never forget story! I got to see my sponsored boy, Jorum and his family and got to love on him! The staff here are remarkable! The motto here is LOVE! I love everyone here and I love what God is doing with Show Mercy! Show Mercy is making a huge difference in people's lives!
I have stayed with Show Mercy International two times now and they are amazing. They truly do mobilize, inspire, and empower people to live life on purpose while reaching out in love. The staff is so welcoming and kind. They are good at what they do. The compound was so safe and clean. They provided many areas for us to serve in! I will be back in a few months!

At Show Mercy International I was able to spend time loving on kids and families. I loved getting to show Jesus love even though we were not always able to communicate. I was hosted so well. We worked with kids, families, elders, and doing community outreach. I loved coming here and will be back next year!!
I have worked alongside many different nonprofits, but none that are ran as well as Show Mercy. They have many different ministries under one organization, yet each is run with care and intention. The love that this nonprofit pours out is blessing so many lives, mine included! I am richer having been a part of it for even a short time.
At Show Mercy There is something here for everyone! We farmed, visited the elderly, hosted VBS, delivering mosquito nets, medical visits, and more. I loved the overall love not just the staff but all the villagers had for everyone. We worked closely with family's and grew relationships that will last a life time. The people of Uganda will always be a home away from home and that's thanks to show mercy and the environment they created!
I spent 9 days at Show Mercy and it was an amazing experience. They are very organized and have so many outreaches that you can take part in. We did farming, visiting the elderly, hosting VBS, delivering mosquito nets, medical visits, and more. There is something here for everyone. The staff are such a wonderful group of people and they instantly became like an extended family. God is doing GREAT things through this organization. I highly recommend doing a mission trip with them. You will not be disappointed. I'm walking away from this experience feeling VERY blessed. The people of Uganda will always hold a special place in my heart.
It was my first time in Uganda and SMI was so wonderful with instructions and helping me arrive. Unfortunately it was during a Covid-19 shutdown of schools and churches, but that did not stop God from moving through SMI and their teams. From the medical to the CDD to the birthing suite, Holy Spirit was actively moving through this mission. I was blessed to meet the family in the picture and feel God's joy and love through them. This was only my second international mission trip, but I highly recommend SMI because they provided many different outreaches to due the Lord's work through. May God continually bless SMI and all followers of Christ who visit!
Working with Show Mercy was a wonderful experience! The staff were all so welcoming and kind, even as I was preparing for my trip. Once here it is evident that their goal and mission is to serve the Lord by loving all those around them. They are intentional in the work that they do and the relationships that they establish with those around them.
My experience at Show Mercy will be a never forget experience! the staff at Show Mercy are the greatest! I found my true purpose being there for a shortened period of time. i hope to be back next summer!
I love how gospel focused Show Mercy International is. Even though Uganda is miles and miles away, the Show Mercy staff loves in a way that makes you feel right at home. The organization is so intentional at building relationships with the people of the community through acts of love and service. I certainly plan on going back and I look forward to that day.
My experience at Show Mercy has blessed me beyond measure!! I have grown so much in my spiritual life and was given so many amazing opportunities to be a part God's international church here in Uganda. The staff is absolutely amazing and welcoming and just so much fun to work with!! I encourage anyone who is willing and able to be a part of this ministry and furthering God's kingdom!
Show Mercy International is fully devoted to the cause of sharing Christ's love and name with the people in Uganda. The staff at this organization are on fire for the Lord. They love everyone around them well, impart great spiritual wisdom into every conversation, and are true lights for Christ through their servant-hearts. I LOVE this nonprofit and the children, elderly, and families they represent and support!!!
The staff are so full of love and shine the love of God so well! The kids will melt your hearts with just a simple smile. I truly have loved every minute at show mercy!
Show Mercy is such an impactful organization not only for the community but for the teams that come to help. I was able to grow in my personal walk with the Lord while also pouring into the community and team around me. I feel like I was able to experience all of this in a safe way. There was never any doubt about my safety. The outreaches we did were also so personal and I felt that we were and are really making a difference. I got to meet the child that I now sponsor which was so sweet and such a great way to form a connection with him.
Show Mercy has truly been a blessing. From the beginning I felt true love! The entire staff is like family. I am so thankful for this organization and the impact they have on the surrounding communities. I love this place so much!
Show Mercy was a great experience that I would definitely recommend. I enjoy how the staff is from the surrounding communities and how they pour into Uganda!
I love this place. This is my second time coming to Show Mercy and it truly is one of the best places in the world. If you are looking to support or go on a mission to anywhere in the world, please look into Show Mercy. Uganda is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The gospel is ALIVE here! Wow, who am I to get to be blessed by an awesome God to be here.
Show Mercy has been amazing hosts! They have such an incredible compound and a loving staff. From getting picked up from the airport to leaving, the staff showed us that they truly care about the people that come and stay with them. The outreaches are amazing and the Lord is very prevalent in this atmosphere. We love Show Mercy International and would recommend it to everyone!
Show Mercy International is a great nonprofit. Their focus is to engage the community by mobilizing their staff while inspiring the community so that the future generation of Uganda can be empowered to reach every corner of Uganda. Thankful for my experience and hope to return soon. I hope that many others will visit SMI.
My name is Diane Gorges from southeastern Oklahoma. My friend asked me to join her in a mission trip to Uganda through Show Mercy International. She wanted to go to China, but God led her here. This has been an incredible experience. The level of involvement in the community is admirable. The people actually show mercy. There is a true bond between the staff and the community they serve. There is love, compassion, sympathy, concern. The Ugandans are a friendly people who welcomed us unconditionally. I have fallen in love with this country and its people.
The staff is amazing! I can't even imagine visiting here without their help and support. I know they truly care about me, and want me to experience all the work they do. And I mean WORK!
If you prayerfully and financially support one organization, this should be the one.
My name is Carol and I did not know what to expect at Show Mercy. It is an amazing place with great people. The teams there are very caring and encouraging. You get to interact with people in the villages, old and young. The kids love to be hugged.
I do not have the words to describe all the many ways that Show Mercy International has impacted me and my family. The staff is unbelievably accommodating and welcoming. The kitchen staff is amazing and so full of joy. The outreach team is incredibly patient and willing to answer all the many questions that we had throughout the week. This ministry is knowledgeable, and very organized. The staff was so gifted in providing our team opportunities to grow in our faith. I am so thankful that I was able to join with Show Mercy for a week and make a Kingdom difference in that area. I miss the staff and friends that we made daily, and am very hopeful to return soon.
I cannot say enough great things about SMI! This was my first mission trip, but it exceeded my expectations. They are extremely organized, knowledgeable, friendly, and most-of-all passionate about what they do. SMI has positively impacted Uganda and continues to grow His Kingdom. When I left SMI and Uganda, I left a piece of my heart. I am already saving to go back!
Show Mercy gave my team an incredible opportunity to not only serve the people nearby, but to grow in our faith beyond personal boundaries! Through my experience with SMI, I received a lot of clarity and perspective on wanting to do missions on a longer term. Thank you SMI for being such a great vessel for people to grow in their relationship in Christ!
My name is Tabitha, a midwife from Wisconsin. I learned about Show Mercy from a fellow midwife who has traveled here before and was coming back again. After taking several short-term mission trips, I wanted to take a trip where I could specifically use my medical skills. Staying at Field of Dreams for the past two weeks has helped to clarify my vision and broaden my horizons. Riding on Boda Boda’s to visit several moms and babies who delivered at the clinic was an experience I will never forget. Working alongside the Ugandan staff at the medical mission was another highlight of my stay here. Such a joyful team! The Spirit is present here in such a real way and the staff have made this such a welcoming place; it feels like home.
I travelled to Uganda with a team from Bethel's School of Supernatural Ministry to be with Show Mercy International for a ministry trip.
I had never been to Africa before but from the moment we stepped into the country I could feel such a great peace and joy.
Partnering with Show Mercy was an amazing experience and it was so easy to see the fruit of the work that Show Mercy has already done with the people and in the community. The Show Mercy team were so welcoming and loving, and we had the privilege of joining them in many ministry activities during our time there.
We spent time learning about their farm, health centre and birthing centre that not only provides a service for the community, but also is used to educate and empower the people within the community. We joined the team on evangelical outreaches, discipleship visits and sponsorship visits at homes within the villages. It is during these visits that I was able to see that there is such a great balance of sharing the Gospel, discipling new believers and supporting those in need. We visited many churches - from kids services, youth services and a Sunday service. We had the honour of meeting and preaching to leaders and pastors from the area. We also were blessed to be involved in their 'Say No To Hunger,' program where they feed children, provide a praise and worship time, teach them from God's Word, pray for them and then of course a very important part....spend time playing with the children where I could see great bonding and relationships happening.
It was an absolute honour to partner with God in what He is doing in Uganda. He is definitely at work and you only have to see a smile from one of the Ugandan people to feel the joy and love of the Holy Spirit within them. Show Mercy are definitely doing a fantastic job of not only supporting the people and communities in Uganda, but also empowering and educating. I would encourage anyone that feels to support Show Mercy, whether it be financially or via a missions trip to do so! It will change your life - it did for me!! Thank you again for having me Show Mercy and to all the staff for the love you showered upon us, the fun and laughs we got to share, and for the opportunities to minister to the beautiful people of Uganda. Blessings on the future - I know God has big plans for you!!
I knew the first time I came to Show Mercy, Field of Dreams in Uganda on a mission trip in 2015 that God would eventually call me back.
This truly is the Field of Dreams. I never in a million years imagined that I would return 4 yrs. later to help set up the Show Mercy Sewing Center along with my fellow missionary, Angie Walters. Teaching the local village women how to sew empowering these women to begin to end the cycle of poverty.
The staff at Show Mercy are all committed to the Show Mercy vision: Mobilize, Inspire, Empower people to live on purpose while reaching out in Love.
They are all filled with the love of Christ and what He has done for them.
My husband and I have been sponsoring a child for the past 4 years and I have been able to see first hand how the sponsorship funds are put to good use. It provides food, medical care and a christian education.
Whether you are ready to answer God's call to the mission field for the first time or you are a seasoned missionary, Show Mercy has much to offer you.
If you are not called to the mission field you can go to their website, www.showmercy.org to see other ways you can get involved with this amazing ministry that is changing lives here in Uganda, one person at a time!
What an amazing and Godly experience we had a Show Mercy! If you
want to be the hands and feet of Jesus you should go on a mission trip here in Uganda. The staff are all so welcoming and have Jesus in their hearts. My dreams were manifested and I felt my purposed was realized. Thank you so much Show Mercy for being a blessing to so many. May God Bless you and reward you for your good work.
In early December last year I stayed with Show Mercy for two weeks. The inclusiveness of the team and community the entire time made the experience really enjoyable. The team in Uganda blessed me with the opportunity to meet many people of all walks of life - all of which are truly inspirational. Their attitude of thankfulness for all things and striving to live in love is truly incredible! Thank you for a life changing experience!
I recently returned from a mission trip to Show Mercy in Uganda. I traveled there alone, so I wan't sure what to expect. From the minute I was picked up at the airport until the time I left, I felt welcomed and safe. The compound and the team were all amazing. I met up with a group of 5 that came in from Texas and we became family. We participated in many outreaches in the surrounding communities. To see the impact that Show Mercy is making on the lives of the people in these communities is so inspiring. If you want a safe mission to go to, I would highly recommend Show Mercy. There is a pleasant balance of rest, worship, team building and outreaches. I will definitely be planning another trip here. I just can't say enough about this place and what an amazing experience it was to be a part of.
Show Mercy is a true home a way from home, its one big family here. The place and staff is beyond welcoming and there was never a time I felt out of place. There is a perfect balance of spiritual time, rest time, and ministry.
The opportunity to serve and work with the Show Mercy team was an incredible experience that I will never forget. The staff here makes you feel like a part of their family and as if you were on their team. Everybody here is super helpful and friendly. I had an incredible time doing outreaches everyday and it was nice to be working side by side with the show mercy team both on base and in the community. I HIGHLY recommend serving with this organization and looking at different ways to work with this organization.
Hello y'all my name is Scott Cooper and I am a Campus Mission Pastor from Texas. I have been in campus/youth ministry for 10 years and in 3x Latin countries.
Here is a list of what was loved and well received about Show Mercy International in Uganda:
- THE FOOD!!! All of it!
- THE PEOPLE & CULTURE!!! Dancing, singing, fellowshipping; very kindred spirited
- The MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY!!! Want to impact youth? (check), Want to impact young adults? (check), Want to experience any part of African/Ugandan culture? (check)
- THEY PRACTICE SABBATH!!! You will not burn out going on mission here but be of prime use every day! As well as having a day where you may enjoy your environment fully
Show Mercy is an incredible organization. I have interned here and have lead a team. I would recommend both to anyone interested in serving in Uganda. The staff here is so welcoming and you do a lot of relational outreaches. You become a part community and feel a part of a family. The base is safe and clean. I never worry while here because you are taken care of so well. The food is amazing and I am a picky eater but here I eat everything. I love it here.
Being apart of Show Mercy has been such a great experience. I would love every body out there to come and experience what is happening at SMI. Its amazing the way lives are being transformed!
Traveled to Uganda in July 2017 to participate in medical clinics with their Ugandan medical professionals. Such a great experience! They do their work with excellence and passion for the people and God they serve. They are responsible, thoughtful, and visionary in the care and love they bring to the kids and elderly around them. Such a privilege to particpate in the work they are doing.
We have supported Show Mercy through child sponsorship for several years and were familiar with what they do, but being here and seeing it first hand helped me understand them more. They really are here to serve the people of Uganda and to share the love of Jesus with them. We traveled as a family with our 4 children, and the Field of Dreams was a very comfortable place to stay. We felt very welcome, safe, and comfortable letting our children play. The outreaches we participated in were well-planned, and it was exciting to be able to be a part in the work they are already doing so faithfully. We would love to come back and highly recommend it as a mission trip destination.

We have been partners with SMI for 5 years now. I love getting letters from the kids we sponsor and watching them grow and learn. I also really appreciate how they work to support the kids in their homes with families. But it's not just kids! They are always looking for ways to improve the whole community! Their hears are fully for the people to whom they minister, and that shows in everything they do!
Excellent experience in the villages outside of Kampala, Uganda. We visited and were able to join them in their outreaches to help feed at risk children, to help care for the elderly, and to participate in their medical outreach and clinic. Being here in Uganda allowed us to see how important it was to the children that Show Mercy sponsors for education, spiritual growth and long term outlook on life.
This was my second time staying with Show Mercy and it was just as amazing as the first time. I came in July 2018 and stayed for 2 weeks. It was definitely a life-changing trip and I would highly recommend Show Mercy International. The staff was great and it was very organized. The staff did great leading our outreaches and making sure we felt welcomed. We were provided three meals a day and they did a great job of making new dishes for us to try. There is a schedule of the weekly events and outreaches and I loved seeing what we were going to do that week. Some of the outreaches include: teaching in the schools, the prison ministry, visiting the Ja-Ja's (elderly), participating in the Say No To Hunger program each Saturday, and many others. I enjoyed everything we did. The living quarters are very nice and are well kept. I was so thankful to have running water for a shower. The Field of Dreams is a beautiful place and I appreciate how clean they keep it. I felt very safe during my two stays as there is a fence around the field and guards on staff at all times. Even during outreaches, I felt safe and I knew I was taken care of. I would highly recommend Show Mercy! I was able to communicate with the mission coordinator prior to my trip, and I was provided all the information I needed in a timely manner.
This is a wonderful place. They do so many good things in the community. They provide life for children, adults, and elderly while having a smile on their face. It is such an inspiring place and I will definitely return again and again. It gives me hope that so much of the world is still good and that with God, anything is possible and the world can be changed a little bit at a time. Your life will forever be changed.
God put Africa on my heart many years ago. I always felt a strong pull to go there, but never knew quite why... that is, until Show Mercy extended an offer to serve in Uganda. Along with a team of 8, we went to shower the people of Uganda with love, by participating in organized missions around the Wakiso district. Little did we know just how much of that love would be poured out on US!!! Everywhere we went, from elementary schools to prisons, from clinics to neighborhoods, we experienced the love of GOD through His beautiful people. We celebrated the long-awaited opening of a brand new birthing center, which will help mothers, babies, and communities grow and connect for generations to come. We spent time connecting with the elderly in their homes, studying the Word together and reminding them that they are so valuable and respected. We fed children, laughed with them, read books to them, and were gifted with their infectious, joyous smiles! We witnessed a most cohesive and talented staff at Show Mercy International who anticipated our needs and answered every question with patience and passion. We were cared for extremely well, from the inside out, from our beautiful living quarters to our safety & transportation services. I can’t think of any organization I’d rather support than this one. I plan to return in the not-so-distant future, with my family of four, to continue the mission of loving Uganda well thru the deep love our Our Heavenly Father.
Working with Show Mercy staff was such a delight. They were so willing to let us bring what God had put on our heart to the table and expound on it when necessary to ensure understanding. Overall, such a loving and fun environment and the facility is very comfortable and so beautiful. Did I mention the kids were awesomely fun too!
I went on a short term mission trip with Show Mercy International in July 2019 for my very first mission trip ever. To say it was a life-impacting time would be the least of it. I was afforded the opportunity to visit the child I sponsor, as well as participate in their other outreaches. I was able to partner with and work alongside the SMI staff in the elderly ministry, say no to hunger program, prison ministry, ignite youth ministry as well as witness the dedication of the birthing center. The field of dreams grounds provided a beautiful, safe and clean environment where I felt comfortable and had all my physical needs met. The staff was an unexpected blessing in the whole experience as they supported me with instructional meetings about the programs, well-prepared meals, and transportation during my stay. I was able to experience God's love, hope and joy every day I was there through the people I met during my trip (including the staff, other missionaries, and the people in the community.) I left feeling closer to God and with a heart overflowing with His love. My prayers now include the continued growth of Show Mercy International and that I may one day be called to return.
In July 2019, my wife and I, our two kids and my daughter's boyfriend, all joined up with Compassion to Action to travel to Uganda Africa. When we arrived at Show Mercy, I was already impressed by pictures on their website and how organized they seem to be. What I was deeply moved by was their love for us and the Ugandan people. These folks are committed to excellence throughout their ministry. Their organization to keep our team on track to the many different outreaches, care to feed us quality food, and provide a clean, safe place for us to rest and refresh was incredible. We will absolutely be apart of Show Mercy in the future! I would encourage any group or individual wanting a high end mission experience to check these guys out.
I am the Missions Director for an Evangelistic organization and was able to take a team to their base. All I have to say is Show Mercy International is simply incredible.
First, this is one of the easiest trips I have ever had to organize. That is due to their excellence and having done what they for so long and with many groups before us. They were very flexible on some of the things on our heart, they set up the daily schedules taking the weight off me and allowing me to focus on the team, and they gave us all the info we needed in advance.
Next, all of the staff is amazing. They connected so well with our team, always hospitable and friendly. They always were able to help us out if we needed it and ready to have a good time with our group.
Also, the outreaches were amazing. Being able to spend time with the children in the schools and at the outreaches was definitely a highlight. They have built great relationships with the locals that even non-Christian groups welcomed us to preach the Gospel and serve.
Lastly, their base is unlike anywhere I've stayed in Africa. It is hands-down the nicest place I've stayed in Africa and definitely the nicest missions base I've been at in the world. It is a peaceful and beautiful sanctuary, perfect to rest and spend time with the Lord.
In summary, if you're wondering if this place is worth going to or not, it absolutely is. Go alone or take a team, it will be a life-changing experience.
I came from a high income area in the United States and then was given a great opportunity to expand my understanding of my privilege. I was non stop loved on by some of the best people I've ever met.
it was a great experience, and i loved all the time i spent here. i'm glad i got the chance to come and see everything, and i feel the power of God here, and i'm very thankful for the stuff and the experience i got, thank you show mercy.
Show Mercy International is a phenomenal organization, my team and I had a wonderful experience with t hem. From their mission, to the incredible staff, and the amazing hospitality, I believe Show Mercy is making an impact in their community. The Gospel is consistently being displayed and preached. I've worked with other nonprofits and missionaries on mission trips, and I believe that Show Mercy's love and consistency is what makes them great. As volunteers coming here to help we dove right in with the beautiful work Show Mercy is doing in the community, they were not finding or creating work for us to do. I wanted to come here to Uganda to show the love of Jesus, and know that my work, even if just in the smallest way, would make a difference, and because of the way Show Mercy does their work I know that I did. The people we reached out to will continued to be loved and supported by Show Mercy long after I am gone (almost all were being loved and supported before we got here), and that gives me joy and peace. They have a wonderful structure of partnering with the locals here to teach them sustainable skills, of farming and education. They are not just providing for the people, they are partnering with them to teach them responsibility and ownership. It is a beautiful thing. The way they are able to provide healthcare, medicine, and care is wonderful. Show Mercy also sponsors many children to continue in education, but not just that, they go and visit these kids and become part of their lives. They are role models for these children, and are consistently loving them, visiting them, teaching them, equipping them, sharing Jesus with them, and discipling them. They reach out to the woman in the community and teach various skills like sowing. They visit the elderly consistently and build relationships with them, as well as help them with various projects. At the end of the day they are building meaningful, Jesus-centered relationships with the community, and it is beautiful to see in person. May God continue to bless them. I am so encouraged by my time volunteering with Show Mercy.
My time at Show Mercy Intl. was nothing short of amazing. I got to see and do things I never could experience at any other organization and that is because the staff at Show Mercy are consistent in loving in the community that needs time and commitment to see spiritual change. Something that separates Show Mercy from every other organization is that it is lead by the locals of the Wakiso people, people that want to see Jesus in their community. We participated in a variety of different outreaches: schools, prisons, elderly visits, home visits, and medical mission. I'm leaving this place feeling spiritually fulfilled and a sponsor of a beautiful 13 year old girl--and I'm only 19 years old. If you want your life to be changed, be sure to choose Show Mercy. You will be glad you did!
This trip was completely life changing! I have had the opportunity to grow and serve in ways I never knew I would be able to. Being able to love and be loved by the staff and all those in the community has been an experience I will never forget. My heart is so full. I came here knowing I would be challenged being out of my comfort zone, but I knew I needed change and I wanted to grow and that is exactly what happened. If you want your life to be changed, if you want to grow, if you want to experience a love you've never experienced before, if you want your relationship with Jesus to go deeper, and if you want to meet some of the most amazing people in the world... come and spend time here with Show Mercy. You will never be the same.
It has been a great time with show mercy. Grew so much of my spirituality, all the activities we did not just benefit for people live there, it always showed us how great God works with people.
I've been to Uganda twice with Show Mercy and my husband has been twice. We've even brought our kids over! It was a perfect introduction to missions work and life in other countries. Show Mercy is involved in the community on many levels and has a broad scope of ministry opportunities for visitors to help with. They are hospitable and the grounds at the base are top notch! I'm getting ready to bring a group of ladies over next week and we're looking forward to what God will do in and through us!
My husband and I spent 2 months in Uganda with Show Mercy, and will for the rest of our lives think back to our time there. We are so excited to return again! If I were to describe Show Mercy in one word it would be INTENTIONAL. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, to our gift baskets in our rooms, the warm welcome, and how they love every person they meet in the villages, we were blown away! No ministry is done by simply 'going through the motions'. Each staff member acts with great intention and love. We spent a lot of time with the outreach team, and they pushed us to get past fear we had built up. They led us in ministry and helped us walk in greater freedom ourselves! I was amazed at how intentional Show Mercy is with every sponsor child and family. No sponsorship looks like another. The staff are truly loving these families and children, and Jesus is transforming lives! When Show Mercy started, they built relationships with the pastors and elders of the villages, and today still honors them. You can feel the mutual respect, love, and appreciation between the community and Show Mercy. It is beautiful to witness!
The beautiful base has a deep peace that dwells there, and we started every day well rested and excited to say YES to what Jesus had for that day. Anyone considering going to Show Mercy in Uganda should GO!
Show Mercy International is an amazing organization. Their mission statement says it all.
"Mobilize, inspire, empower people to live on purpose while reaching out in love". They 100% fulfilled their mission statement with me personally and I witnessed this to be the same in all of their ministry outreaches. They fulfill Matthew 25:36. They clothe the naked, visit & care for the sick, visit those in prison, feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty! All while sharing the love of God and effectively sharing the gospel (fulfilling the great commandment and the great commission).
I absolutely loved getting to be hands on with each of their ministries. Working with all ages of people in all sectors of the community was very rewarding for me. I really enjoyed meeting children that they are caring for and who also needed sponsoring. I am so happy to have met two children whom I am now sponsoring. Sponsoring children with SMI truly changes the lives of these little ones and having the opportunity to meet them and hug them is fantastic. I also very much enjoyed the Farming God's Way program they have. Not only do they farm in this manner, but teach local farmers. It is a profoundly effective, yet simple way to garden and farm in a godly manner that produces greater yields while being better stewards to the earth!.
The Field of Dreams facilities were fantastic and the staff and missionaries were wonderful. Outside of the birth of my two sons, my experience at SMI is the best experience of my life!
I could go on and on, but instead....I encourage you to go check it out for yourselves and also financially support this great organization!
I'm a senior pastor and wanted to introduce my church to missions. Show Mercy came highly recommended and boy did they exceed the recommendations. Their ministry introduces people to a full gamut of ministry opportunities. We spent two weeks and ministered to people in hospitals, children, the elderly, prisoners, and local churches. As a pastor I'm aware of the sacrifice it is for people to travel across the world to Africa. One of the teams highlights may not seem spiritual but extremely practical was the facilities. Going deep into the village and ministering can become not only physically exhausting but spiritually. Returning to a beautiful, and comfortable Western conditions gave us the rest we needed to get up the next day and love the beautiful African people. I would highly recommend Show Mercy to any church wanting to introduce the congregation to missions work. It's the best missions experience I have ever had and I've been doing missions with teams for 18 years. I would encourage all churches to partner with Show Mercy for missions.

Show Mercy is truly amazing. I left my home prepared to sleep on the floor and be without many things including a shower. I was ready to swat at bugs and eat undesirable food.
I was so pleasantly surprised. While at The Field Of Dreams base I felt like I was at home. The food was great and if I didn't get a shower it was because I didn't want one. Coffee every morning and some afternoons and even some evenings as well if I chose.
The staff were friendly and so helpful. They are full of smiles, joy and kindness. It was such an honor to be able to serve next to these incredible human beings.
If you're ever curious or have the desire to travel to Africa, or specifically Uganda, Show Mercy International is the way to go. This was my first trip to Africa ever and it was an absolute dream. The people and the country are so beautiful and there are so many options for you to serve.
I highly recommend Show Mercy. If you're looking for a non profit to serve or even a potential adventure, Show Mercy's the way to go. You won't regret it. You can trust me, I wouldn't lie to you.
It was an amazing experience to share the Love of Christ at Show Mercy International (SMI)!
We went to be a blessing by teaching sewing and delivering sanitary kits to the new Birthing Center, but in turn we were so blessed by the hospitality that was poured out to us from the staff at SMI and the ladies in the village we taught were so grateful and loving. I am in awe at the way God works through SMI as they reach out in love to the impoverished in the surrounding community in Uganda. I whole heartedly recommend others wanting to connect with God on a mission trip to consider SMI and all it has to offer. I guarantee you will see the face of God and catch glimpses of his Glory. You will be forever changed!
My second trip to Uganda to serve with SMI took place in January. I was blessed to help establish the SMI sewing training center along with my fellow missionary Angie Walters. We were able to donate 8 sewing machines, sewing supplies and fabric to empower some of the local village women by teaching them how to sew. Jeremy, Lindsay and the amazing SMI staff were there to help us every step of the way. It was amazing to see how much our sewers had accomplished in 8 days of instruction.
My husband and I also sponsor a child through SMI and I was blessed to be able to finally meet her and spend some time getting to know her.
The opportunities that SMI has brought to the people in Uganda brings the men, women and children hope for a brighter future. They also provide many opportunities for them to have a personal relationship with Christ. I am so thankful that God called me back to Uganda again and I know that in His time he will call me to return.
I was given so much more from my experience than I gave back! What an eye opening trip, and I feel it brought me so much closer to God. It really awakens your faith!
I was in Uganda for two weeks, and my only complaint is I wish I couldve stayed much longer. It is a well run organization and as a volunteer, they take great care of you. You really get to feel like you're part of the outreach team and will meet people that will change your life. Amazing experience!
My visit was entirely too short to this amazing ministry. The outreach that they have into multiple communities was nothing short of phenomenal. I loved how the villages reacted with excitement when we would arrive. The staff made us feel welcome and immediately part of the SMI family. As a nurse, having the medical clinic and plans for a birthing center also showed me that their commitment to Uganda was more than just spreading the Word but to help increase the physical health as well as the spiritual health of the people that they serve. The trip also eased any doubts I may have had with the sponsorship program. I was a part to a beautiful reunion of a sponsor and her child. I immediately became a sponsor when I returned home. My goal is to go back and help their continued commitment to serve Him.
My first introduction to Show Mercy was a couple years ago when doing an internet search of ministries in Uganda, Africa. While on their site checking them out I decided to glance at the children available to sponsor. One of the very first I saw was named Brenda... which is my name... and she tugged at my heart strings , so I immediately signed up to sponsor her.
Fast forward to a couple months ago when I learned I’d be in Uganda. I reached out to the staff at Show Mercy and they let me know that YES I could meet my girl.
When the day arrived, I was beyond excited, along with being a tad nervous.
The meeting was AMAZING!!! It made the whole thing so much more REAL and special!! The time flew by and I am already thinking about the next time I can go visit her... hopefully for a longer period.
The people at Show Mercy were just incredible the few days that I was there on the grounds. It made my heart so happy to have it confirmed that I’d indeed chosen a quality organization to support and be involved with.
Show Mercy has been a crucial part of my story for years. It is through this incredible organization that I found my passion in the health field and in life! I could not be more blessed to be apart of the SMI Team!
I took a two week trip to Show Mercy International, the two weeks changed my life. The staff at the base are encouraging and always putting others before them. It's a great place to go and serve and get your feet wet for either long term missions or short term. I went for two weeks to test out the missionary life and see where it takes me. By the end of the trip, I experienced sharing the gospel with prisoners, hanging out and loving on the kids, sharing and praying for the sick at the local medical clinic, and really getting to know family while at the base they have. I didn't want to leave and pray for God to open doors and confirm full time Missions for me!
These past two weeks I have served on a short-term missions team with Show Mercy, and have been overwhelmed by their hospitality and heart for Jesus. This was my first missions experience and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The staff here truly cares about each individual, and invests in them and their walks with Jesus. We partook in many different outreaches into local communities while being here; many of which were new and challenging for me. Though some aspects were challenging, I felt supported the entire way and saw enormous growth in my personal walk with Jesus. Being here, I saw the exemplification of what it means to have faith like a child, and to trust Jesus to provide in all situations. This place is Christ-centered and lives out their missions statement to live life on purpose and reach out in love. I am very thankful for the opportunity to have come here, and would recommend it to all!
My experience with Show Mercy International exceeded all of my expectations. This organization operates out of a heart for the people of Uganda. Their mission to mobilize, inspire, and empower is evidently expressed in their outreach and service projects. I definitely support this organization and the work that they are doing in Uganda.
I am the Campus Pastor at a Christian University from the states. We send around 100 students on dozens of trips all over the world each year, but I have personally never experienced a missions organization like Show Mercy. The work they are doing in Uganda is transforming the communities here, meeting the needs of the people around them in every way imaginable! We participated in a variety of ministries including preaching the gospel, ministering to the elderly, going on home visits for sponsored children, teaching English to adults, visiting schools, praying for the sick, serving in the medical clinic, spending time with those in prison, helping on the farm, hosting church services, and so much more. The team at Show Mercy is unlike any I have ever worked with. They are kind, hospitable, accommodating, and fun. On the field, they do not stand behind the scenes as translators, but they partner with us each day to minister to the people that they have committed their lives to serving. To say that I recommend Show Mercy would be an understatement. I plan on partnering with Show Mercy to send university students here each year.
Coming to Uganda has been the best experience of my life. Being at Show Mercy has really helped me grow spiritually, physically, and emotionally. This organization has not only changed this community, but has also changed my perspective of the world. Their aim is to not just provide short term solutions, but really work to see positive long term changes. The staff are all here to reach out in love and not just for their own gain. Being here for two months, they have all personally developed a relationship with me which I believe is one of the major reasons why they see so much fruitfulness in the community surrounding Show Mercy. The ministry we do has really helped me grown in boldness and obedience with the Lord. If I come back to Uganda to pursue ministry, I would pick Show Mercy to call home.
Show Mercy International is an incredible organization to work with! They are involved in many ministries and all of their ministries bare so much fruit! The staff here is incredible. The hospitality team will make you feel at home and the accommodations are great! I highly recommend partnering with Show Mercy!
I have loved serving with Show Mercy SO MUCH. Never in my life have I seen so many fruitful ministries and the power of the gospel so on display. Hearts are being forever changed because of the work Show Mercy is doing. They serve the elderly, in prisons, do evangelism and have an incredible child sponsorship program. This ministry is amazing! I hope to partner with them again in the future.
I have been working with/at Show Mercy for a couple months. I love their vision and what they are doing. Show Mercy International is really investing and transforming an entire community. Their ministry is changing lives and has long lasting fruit both for the locals as well as short term missionaries lives get changed!!
I worked with Show Mercy for two and a half month in Uganda and it was an amazing experience! They really make a difference in the community around them. They are changing kids and Jajjas (elderly) lives with their sponsorship program.
I spent two and a half months here at Show Mercy in Uganda. Show Mercy is such an organized, productive but also biblical based ministry. I loved having such packed days spending time loving on kids, teenagers and the elderly. We saw so much fruit because of all of the long term ministry they have invested here. All of the staff are incredibly helpful and teach you the language and culture as you go, so you don't feel like an outsider. Needless to say, Show Mercy is doing long term ministry extremely well. I feel really blessed to have gotten to work with them.
What an honor it has been to serve with Show Mercy Uganda. Though they are an organization who's number one goal is to confront others with the love and testimony of Jesus Christ - they are efficient with their time, utilize their resources well, carry incredible business ethics and a strategic ministry approach that betters the communities, schools, churches, businesses, and people around them. They are truly the model embodiment of how a fantastic non-profit operates. Thanks Show Mercy for all that you do!
I had the privilege of working with Show Mercy for almost three months. It was one of the greatest things I have ever done. They are who they say they are. They embody so many things of the bible with the way the love on this community. One of my favorite parts about SMI is the sponsorship program. They give these kids everything they need to do life well. They give them food, medical treatment, schooling and most importantly they teach them about the Lord. I love SMI. I have been to a lot of different missions organizations and SMI does everything so well. I have loved my time here, and will for sure be back.
It has been my honor and privilege to work for Show Mercy for almost five months. When I met Mike and Lori, their joy for what they are doing hit me square in the heart. I knew that I HAD to be involved with Show Mercy, how could I not?? Over four months later I am even more inspired by them, and motivated by their vision. I get the opportunity to visit Show Mercy Uganda in two weeks and cannot wait to meet the incredible, hard-working folks who work at the Field of Dreams who I have gotten to know via email. Show Mercy is truly lead by God and fueled by His love.
I’ve had the privilege of working with Show Mercy International for the last 4 years and it’s the most team-focused workplace I know. We are constantly building each other up and dedicate fully the time and resources God-given to those we serve, and who serve with us.
We’re a people of excellence who always have fun doing what we do and if you haven’t already, come experience a season in your life you’ll forever treasure!!!!
Such an amazing and life changing non profit organization directed by an amazing couple who are passionate about saving and changing lives and are prepared to suffer themselves to see lives changed and transformed and also invest so much into what they do and believe. ShowMercy does an amazing job and such an honor to serve with them in Uganda.
Show Mercy is a partner with Kisoboka Uganda Inc. Providing medical care to more than 500 students, the students parents and siblings. The care is provide in Uganda, I am in the US, I am kept informed of the needs and treatment for all the children and families. If a specialist is needed I know. They are an organization that they Live on Purpose and spread the love of Our Lord while doing it.
Show Mercy is incredible! I was there from December 2015-March 2016 with YWAM, and absolutely loved it! The staff are wonderful and welcoming, the children/elderly that we worked with are still very dear to my heart, and the whole trip was so life-bringing. Jesus is moving greatly in Uganda, and he is using this organization to do it.
My daughter Emily has my daughter Emily has had the honor to serve as an intern this summer in Uganda. We have been so blessed by some of the stories we have heard and are waiting to hear many more when she arrives home here shortly in a few days. We have felt God nudging at our hearts to sponsor some children thru the program. We hope to someday meet our children that we sponsor. Love seeing the updates and all the smiles. Those smiles come from the love of Jesus that people are pouring out In lives in Uganda.
Eden's Song Ministry is so proud to have partnered with this amazing ministry for the past 8 years. Not only do the founders, Mike and Lori, truly have a passion for their work in Uganda, they love those they are on this journey with. We have been to Field of Dreams to see first hand how they serve the people through their medical clinic , fresh well water, the acres of farm, as well as the hundreds of children being fed, clothed, educated and loved on. All this because of and in Christ's love. Mike and Lori's dreams for these precious people never end! Show Mercy exemplifies their mission statement to Live On Purpose.

Show Mercy goes above and beyond in all areas of ministry! What was once a beautiful outreach to orphans has become a community with a medical clinic and well water for the surrounding population and the promise of a school being birthed. The land boasts a farm, animals and an incredible staff made up of locals. They reach out to villages around them taking care of senior citizens and children alike. My husband and I have been partners in ministry with SMI since 2008 and have been to Uganda and Field of Dreams to work side by side with Mike and Lori. They are an amazing leadership team and we are excited to see what comes next!
A True God Inspired, God Following, God Loving, inspirational organization! I've seen Mike and Lori present to groups several times. God empowers them and lets HIS love and passion shine through them. I pray God continues to Bless and Work through this family and their wonderful outreach, Show Mercy.
I stayed at show mercy international in Uganda for 3 months and it was life transforming! The hospitality and training they provide is 5 star. The connections they have all around the country make it an incredible experience. I highly recommend Mike and Lori as leaders.
Show Mercy is an outstanding organization and one where you can count on the maximum amount of funding going straight to those in need. Mike and Lori are people of integrity who genuinely care about the people they support in Uganda as well as their staff.
My husband and I have supported Show Mercy International for many years. We love what Show Mercy does to help the people of Uganda. And since we know Mike and Lori Sally personally, their character, and the integrity, we know our donation of support will always be handled with the utmost discretion and honesty. -Berta Robison
i was blessed with interning with SMI in 2013 & it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. They truly invest in you as a person & child of God, not just what you can do for them. In the three months i was there i saw substantial changes and improvements in the village around me thanks to all that they do.

I had the privilege of being an intern for show mercy over the summer of 2013. Words really cannot express what an experience it was. I was blown away by show mercy's vision for both Ugandans and all those who partner with them. I saw tangible change in the lives of hundreds of Ugandans while working alongside show mercy. Not only did they invest in the Ugandans but during my internship they invested in me. I came away from my summer internship with a greater belief in who God created me to be & a desire to take advantage of every moment, living life on purpose.
I am currently working with Show Mercy in Uganda, Africa. I want to encourage anyone looking for a life-changing missions experience to join us with Show Mercy in Uganda. I have traveled to Uganda with SMI 6 times over the past 3 years. I have loved seeing their staff and ministry grow to reach more people in Uganda. It is amazing to see that impact that has taken place! Join SMI on a trip to Uganda and your life will be forever changed!
You often hear and see the stories of foreign missions and think, "does the money really help?" Or "do the kids really receive the help?" I want to first hand tell you a huge YES! I went on my first of many more trips to come with Show Mercy and Will tell you, I have never in my life seen a more God centered, well oiled, organized, and successfully functioning ministry as our team experienced in Uganda! My heart and view of foreign missions has forever been changed and more excited than ever before! If you've ever wondered what living on purpose looked in real time, check out show mercy, you won't be sorry!
This organization treats their local employees terribly and is very irresponsible with the donations they receive! They could not offer any of the services that they do without local Ugandan staff who are passionate about caring for children. Yet the local staff is paid a disgraceful salary despite being highly qualified and hard working. And what's more, staff are ignored or fired if they try to stand up for themselves. All these volunteers have such great experiences because the local staff is being exploited. Before you donate or participate in any way, please ask them for financial accountability: how much of their budget goes to paying school fees? to the medical center? to paying their American staff? to paying the Ugandan staff?
My daughter's life was changed after encountering this amazing group of people ministering in Uganda. As a sponsor of orphans and widows, I feel so connected with their positive and relevant programs. My favorite pictures are of the volunteers loving on the kids. The most special moment was seeing a young girl with the sewing machine my daughter donated as a part of her Christmas present. Imagine American teens asking for things like that for someone else instead of the latest in electronics for themselves?!?
My wife and I took our team to Show Mercy last summer. What a wonderful experience!! We had been on several trips to Uganda but the experience at Show Mercy was truly one of the best! Their partnership with the local community is phenomenal. The pairing of ministry staff with social workers is the most effective partnership! Wonderful staff, great leadership, and hearts for the wonderful people of Uganda!!!
Show Mercy is an incredible organization led by passionate founders. The clarity of and commitment to their mission is unwavering. I've seen firsthand the impact they are having in Uganda and in the lives of the volunteers and donors.
I participated in a 3 week long mission trip with Show Mercy in July 2014 and it surpassed all of my expectations. Show Mercy offered a safe and loving place to stay while in Uganda. The trip was well organized and offered a variety of outreaches including hospital visits, village outreaches, teaching English to local children, etc. The outreaches challenged me to get out of my comfort zone and my faith grew tremendously because of it. I'd highly recommend Show Mercy to anyone looking for short or long term missionary opportunities!
I have been to Uganda 3 times with Show Mercy International! SMI is an amazing organization who is doing great things for the people of Uganda. I would highly recommend traveling to Uganda with them or joining them by sponsoring a child or elder!

I've been overseas in Uganda with Show Mercy twice. I felt really valued by SMI staff as I sorted out the details of my first trip to Africa. They were helpful in answering my questions and easing my fears of going overseas.
I trust Show Mercy and appreciate how they value the people of Uganda as well as those who are stateside supporting them. SMI operates with integrity and is a trusted nonprofit. The information on their website is accurate, the pictures are real, and mission is being lived out!
A trip to Uganda with Show Mercy will change your life forever.... I'm just one example of that! I have nothing but positive things to say about Show Mercy!
The short term trip I was part of was an amazing experience. The staff is awesome and truly love their jobs.
This is an organization that you can trust. You get regular reports of where your donations are going and who they are benefiting. Great organization!!
Show Mercy has a vision that is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Mike and Lori started with a simple dream directed by God. The Field of Dreams is a home that welcomes you and the villages around will tug at your heart forever. Life changing!
SMI pefectly exemplifies their mission statement. They are constantly mobilizing, inspiring and empowering people in Uganda, but also every person who has the opportunity to work with them. I am so thankful for the time I have spent with SMI in Uganda!
My daughter went to Uganda with YWAM this past year and worked with Show Mercy. As her parents, we had our concerns, but Show Mercy was AMAZING!! They are so personal and professional! Seeing pictures of her on the site gave us peace and she was so well taken care of. We have sponsored children through our organizations before, but Show Mercy is different. They do. It go about it through advertising g and spending money, but through volunteers and social media. As more people sponsored children, it was exciting g for my daughter to share pictures of the children she sponsored! Show Mercy has become part of our family","
I went to Uganda ( Show Mercy ) last September 2015 with my daughter. It was honestly a dream come true for me! The staff was amazing and we just fell in love with the people over there. The grounds of SMI are so beautiful and our lodging and food was Great! I loved watching SMI train and equip the people and they Love So Well! I'm trying to get enough money saved for my family of 5 to go next time. :) what a Blessing SMI is!
I went to Uganda in 2013 with a YWAM group and had the privaledge of serving with Show Mercy International. They are doing a great work there and it was a wonderful experience to get to be involved in the different ways that they love and serve the community. God changed my life while I was there!
I went to Uganda and SMI was the host. And...
It. Was. Incredible.
They have such hearts after the Lord. They loved on us as if we were family members. They took time out of our their day to even minister to us, when they saw the Lord moving on our hearts.
SMI is an incredible place. So structured, yet so spirit led. Never once felt unsafe. And God used Show Mercy and their staff to show me a different side of God that I had never understood fully. And that was, that Love, literally transcends language.
Love is a language breathed by God Himself.
The people of Uganda are incredible. They moved my heart in more ways than they can even believe. I'm so honored that they allowed me to even minister to them, that they allowed me into their homes, that they allowed me into their hearts. Seriously. It was amazing.
I cannot wait to go back.
Thank you Show Mercy team!
I went to Uganda with SMI in July and it was inspirational, life changing and an amazing experience. Living on purpose is their mission and they make it happen on every level!
I travelled to work with SMI a couple years ago for a couple weeks in the summer. In every way, I was impressed with this organization as the staff and facilities were top notch. Currently, I am working on another trip to work alongside this nonprofit. Their vision for the future, their mission for the present and their honor for their community-at-large is inspiring. Show Mercy is a top notch organization.
SMI gave me the opportunity to grow in my relationship with Christ and meet some of the most amazing people. SMI is really changing lives in not only in Uganda but all over the world.
I've had the privilege to go to Uganda, Africa on 5 Mission trips with Show Mercy International. I always felt safe and was very well taken care of. The staff are so nice and helpful and dedicated to loving and caring for all the kids and everyone in the villages. My life and heart has been forever changed. God has used Show Mercy and the people of Uganda to ignite a desire in my heart to go out and share the love of Jesus with everyone I can. I will be going on more trips with them. I love Show Mercy and what they are doing.
I can truly and honestly say Show Mercy International changed my life. What they do is utterly amazing and beautiful. I went on a trip with Show Mercy in the summer of 2015 which happened to be the summer after I graduated high school. As many people know, graduation is fun and exciting but leads to many questions about yourself and your future. My trip to Uganda with SMI helped me form plans for my future and really made me question what God's purpose was for me. I will always be grateful to them for that. My trip was amazing and filled with so many blessings. The staff are the most kind and loving people I have ever met. I would recommend a trip with Show Mercy and even more highly recommend sponsoring a child in their program.
I served in Uganda with SMI for 3 months in early 2015. This organization has a heart to love God by serving people in need. I'm proud to support SMI financially and see lives changed by what they are currently doing in Uganda.
I have had the privilege and honor of being able to help support Show Mercy since 2009, and was able to take a trip with them to their The Field of Dreams in Uganda in 2012. The trip was life changing! Show Mercy focuses on creating spreading the Love of Christ to all people, and helping instill in others the plan that God has for their lives.
On my trip I was able to partake in many of their programs such as the "Say No to Hunger" program, which provides a nutritious meal to children once a week in the the surrounding villages, many who are malnourished, the HERO program, which supports many of the elderly in the village along with school and orphan outreaches. This is very touching to be able to interact with so many people who literally have nothing, and be able to see the joy and life they have. Not only are we able to help them, but they are also teaching us what it means to be thankful and full of life, trusting and relying on God.
Mike and Lori Salley, the founders of Show Mercy have a heart for the people of the Uganda, and in the past several years they have seen many dreams come to pass. One such dream was building a Medical Clinic that is in the heart of a village, open to Ugandan's in the surrounding villages, providing much needed medical care, along with teaching others how to properly take care of themselves. I could go on and on about the wonderful opportunities and dreams that Show Mercy has pursued and is planning. However, what I would most like to emphasize is the belief that many people can partake in this organization, whether by prayer, finances or volunteering, but most importantly it is not just the people of Uganda that benefit from the services, but anyone who is involved. We are encouraged to pursue the dreams that God has given us (whether he has given us a heart for the people of Uganda or elsewhere) and to become stewards of the talents, gifts, and finances that God has blessed us with.
There are so many ways to become involved I personally sponsor a child who is now able to go to school and receive nutritious meals, this has been amazing because it is so worthwhile knowing that the support given is giving a child an opportunity for health and a better future. Anything given to Show Mercy, whether it is time, prayers, or financial support will go to a good cause. I would strongly recommend going on an "Awaken to Love" trip which gives you the opportunity to see firsthand the heart of Show Mercy and the resources and services they provide.
I have not come across a better organization! I am excited to see what the coming years hold and see how God continues to move and shape several thousand people as he is stirring up the passion and love for Chris, both in the people of Uganda and worldwide.
I've had the privilege and honor to go to Uganda with SMI 4 times the past couple of years. It is amazing to see what God is doing through Mike and Lori. Everything they do is with love, excellence, and wisdom. Mike and Lori have an incredible ability to immediately put legs to a vision. I've witnessed so much growth and impact in just a short while.
As part of leading teams to SMI, I've seen many people encounter God. Whether local Ugandans or team members, people have seen God move powerfully in them and through them. SMI fosters an environment that allows Holy Spirit to move and encounter individuals during their stay at Field of Dreams. The field of dreams is designed to allow visitors to have a nice place to rest, spend time with God, dream, and fill up and then go out to the village and pour out. SMI empowers people to live life with purpose and gives people the tools to bring change in their own lives.
We have also led 2 crusades in the nearby villages in Uganda with SMI and have seen so much fruit with the local pastors and local Ugandans.
I have had many personal life-changing moments with SMI and would highly recommend for anyone, wherever they are at in their relationship with God, to go on a missions trip with SMI. God will meet you there, and you will be His hands and feet to change peoples' lives.
Also, the SMI staff are incredible, world-class leaders. I'm very proud to know them.
I was blessed with the opportunity to serve as a Show Mercy Intern in 2012. I am not exaggerating when I say this experienced changed my life. My perspective was changed, the way I look at others, the way I interact, how I show and receive love, the way I pray. After a short three months in Uganda, I was so moved, I knew my life would never be the same again. By partnering with Show mercy I was able to reach out to the forgotten, and find joy where I least expected it. The founders, Mike and Lori Salley, are remarkable. Their passion and vision for helping others is contagious. They are supportive, kind, generous, and have a strong desire to see others walk into their destiny. I was given so many opportunities to try new things. I helped in schools, I developed programs, I offered hope and joy to the sick, delivered necessities to those less fortunate, I witness the sick being healed, I went on crazy motor bike rides, saw a beautiful country, and loved like I never had before. If you make the decision to partner with Show Mercy, you will be changed, you will help others, and become part of a family that serves together.
I have been involved with Show Mercy for the past 6 years and it has been an amazing experience. I have seen many lives changed by love. Show Mercy is making a huge impact in Uganda and throughout the world because of the countless lives they have impacted. I love the heart of Show Mercy- to inspire individuals to live life with purpose and to dream for greater things! Join a trip with Show Mercy and you will come alive like never before! I love Show Mercy and I am thankful that I get to play a part in the great things they are doing!
I met the founders of SMI through a mutual friend and I was so impacted by their passion and vision that I decided to ask to have a coffee with them the next day. That conversation resulted in me packing my bags a few months later to come to Uganda for 3 months to see more of what this life they are building looks like. It has by far exceeded my ideas about change of worldview..
Knowing the story behind it, where and how it started, and seeing what things are evolving into is mind- blowing ..
If you just hear about bad reports from all around, go here and get the antidote for that. Not joking!
See what dreams, faith, passion, diligence, great vision, money and laughter can do ... It changes the world all around it and and crashes hopelessness for good. This place will get your heart, hope and priorities in the right place for sure :)
I have been involved with Show Mercy for over a year, and I love this organization! Show Mercy has inspired me to live on purpose everyday. They are very trustworthy and respectful of their donors! What they are doing in Uganda is amazing and I plan on supporting them for years to come.
I have been working with Show Mercy for many years. They really care about both the people in Uganda and those that travel with them from the west. This is a great organization that does a lot of great things in Uganda including working with orphans, widows and mission team members. Go with them on a trip. You will love it!
I had the opportunity to spend this past summer at the Show Mercy base in Uganda. I can tell you that from the Show Mercy base, Show Mercy Clinic, staff, to the outreach in the community, all were amazing! And With the added benefit of being located in the "pearl of Africa," you will get to see some of the most beautiful foliage, sunsets, and people, on the continent. I have also had the opportunity to work with Show Mercy staff stateside as well, and I can tell you that this is not just something they do to pass time, but it is their heart to truly Mobilize, Inspire, and Empower people to live on purpose, while reaching out in LOVE. It has truly been a life-changing experience! I am thankful, grateful and blessed for knowing Show Mercy!
I visited Show Mercy Field of Dreams for 3 weeks on the Awaken To Love trip in 2012 and have longed to be back there ever since. Mike and Lori make every single individual feel like a family member. They respect, train, and challenge their volunteers/missionaries so well- I felt more encouraged to try things I've never tried before and to reach out in compassion in a new and deeper way. I can not wait to return to the second home I found in Uganda.

We are so sorry to hear of your negative feelings towards our organization. We truly value and love our employees and agree that their contributions are key to our success. We provide them all with very competitive salaries based on the Ugandan market, free housing, all of their meals every day of the week, health coverage for themselves and their families, school fees for many of our employee's kids, paid time off and a very good, loving work environment. For the past 15 years, we have helped hundreds of children with hundreds of thousands of dollars of direct support every year. God bless you.
