Our family had the privilege of adopting two dogs from Catkins Animal Rescue. We have two fantastic pups in our family now and we absolutely love them. When looking for our first pup the rescue was able to give us a suggestion for a pup that would be a good fit for our family. The suggestion was spot on. We were able to talk with our first pup's foster mom and spend a little time with him before adoption. Our second dog was born at the rescue and we adopted him at 10 weeks. Both our dogs came to us in excellent health and well looked after, neutered, up to date on shots and deworming. The rescue provided detailed paperwork for each dog that made their first vet visit with us a breeze. Both dogs were also microchipped before leaving the rescue. I highly recommend Catkins Animal Rescue to anyone looking to adopt a rescue pet or looking to donate their time or money. It is obvious this rescue puts a lot of work, time and finances into looking after and then finding homes for the animals that come to them.

These nice people went out of their way to help us adopt a dog from them. (We live almost 4 hours away from them.) They really have the dogs’ and cats’ best interest at heart. I highly recommend finding your next pet at their shelter!!

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Catkins Animal Rescue.
We lost our Golden Retriever to cancer in April of 2020 and were unsure if we were ready for a new addition to our family. For several months, we followed Catkins on social media and enjoyed the live videos and information they shared about the animals. We decided to apply to be fosters, as there was a need.
Lynne, the rescue manager, was our contact person. We had great communication right from the start. After a couple weeks, there were several dogs coming in from a hoarding situation out of state. We were able to take in a female Chihuahua. All the communication, instruction and care that Lynne shared with us made for a successful foster. So successful that we decided to adopt. Our new addition is named Dot and she is precious.
Catkins Animal Rescue truly works for the good of all their animals. Between all the social media live events, emails and being available for questions in a timely manner, I am in awe of this rescue. It has inspired me to volunteer and become active in their cause.

It is obvious that Lynn (manager) at Catkins lives for the benefit of the amazing pups at Catkins. This incredible organization is doing great work for these rescued dogs. Catkins is top notch for sure. They run a very clean and well organized rescue with plenty of room to exercise all the animals there. When we recently applied for an adoption, Lynn made contact with our vet within minutes to secure a positive reference for us. We were very happy to know of or adoption approval very quickly. The process was awesome. We easily secured a time to meet Rusty, our new rescue pup and what an amazing creature he is. He was clean, well groomed and obviously very well cared for at Catkins. This is a GREAT nonprofit and we will be regular donors to Catkins. We hope others will use their service and consider a donation.

The staff at Catkins Animal Rescue go above and beyond larger facilities to rescue pets throughout the US. The manager is very knowledgeable in the needed care for domestic animals. As a local Humane Officer, the manager and other staff has always been available, when needed. The truly are part of the rescue for all the right reasons

I've been fostering for Catkins for two years now and it's a very fulfilling role. I get to watch these dogs change, grow, and give them the love they were sometimes denied. I love seeing them go to their forever homes to change that family's life as they have changed mine. Catkins is a great place to adopt or volunteer. The staff is very knowledgeable and they truly care about their animals.

This rescue has incredible staff, volunteers and community support! The animals come here from dire situations and are treated like beloved pets until the day they leave for their forever homes. I’ve not only volunteered with them, but adopted 4 animals and the experience has changed my life for the better 4 times. Excellent 5 stars!

This is a great no-kill shelter in the Northwoods of Wisconsin that has a very caring staff and volunteers whom make the journey from homeless to a loving forever home a great experience for all different types and personalities of the animals they take in. I love volunteering here and have gotten my youngest of my two rescue dogs from here and she is wonderful!
