It is a wonderful organization that gives young adults with special needs an opportunity to experience life to the fullest, by learning and experiencing new things.

Just Giants and their network of gracious volunteers work tirelessly to provide care and find homes for these awesome giant breed dogs. Ones that require large financial commitments and can be incredibly difficult to home. Not everyone is capable and able to handle these loving animals. <br><br>Our story with Just Giants began about 2 years ago. The rescue was called to help remove a Great Dane from a terrible breeding situation. Kept in a vacant home full of filth this poor girl was being breed to sell her puppies in order to fund the owners drug habit. <br><br>They took her in and helped fight a lengthy legal battle to terminate the owners rights. While doing so no one knew she was pregnant. She birthed 13 pure Great Dane puppies. The volunteers stepped up and took care of mom and puppies until the all found suitable homes. <br><br>This was an enormous undertaking. Only made possible by the financial support of donors. The medical care, supplies, food, and more were needed to care for these giant, wonderful animals. Without it these dogs would have suffered.<br><br>Our Thor was a part of that litter. We cannot think of our crazy life without him. We are so grateful that the rescue was able to step up and provide what was needed to save mom and her babies. Ensuring they landed in loving, deserving homes.<br><br>This is just one story that saved 14 dogs. There are countless other stories. The financial burden these giant dogs need when neglected in order to care for the medical needs is large. I am amazed that they are able to do so much great work within their limited budget. I can only imagine how many more could be saved with additional resources. Please consider helping them continue their good work in saving more of these gentle giants.

I am active at the Oswego Senior Center doing activities and volunteering for special events. This is a great place to meet and socialize and keep active. Exercise, day trips, crafts, games and sponsored activities are just some of their programs. The location is the old Oswego Police Station. There is a lot of updating that needs to be done to make it more senior friendly. Please support your seniors by donations and volunteering. You too will be elderly some day sooner than you think! Thank you!<br>When I was volunteering previously at an event, a memory care attendee that told me she was amazed...she was now able to do things she thought she could never do again. She was so happy and relieved it brought tears to my eyes. These people are great!

I have worked for Matthew Hutchison-Thrivent Financial Oswego, for approximately a year and can honestly say he lives up to the brand of Thrivent's Christian values. His members are of his highest priority, he's compassionate and truly cares about the well being and financial futures of his members! <br>Since I've started, I have had the pleasure of being involved in several projects Matt is involved in with his community, including teacher appreciation events, member appreciation events, Habitat for Humanity builds, (in which his office donated over $150,000 to), a Pack and Play event which included item and financial donations benefiting Safe Families for Children, and a .1K Charity Run benefiting Jelly Stone Bark's Rescue. I've also witnessed countless community sponsorships and donations to places like the Kendall County food pantry. He truly gives back to the community he serves!<br>It's been such an honor to work with Matt! I highly recommend Matt to my own family and friends and you won't regret doing the same!<br>I look forward to what the future holds for his growing office, and anticipate wonderful things in the future as we are able to assist more Christians to be wise with money and live generously! We recently adopted BEAR aka HOSSA a Presa Canario from Patti at recycled rotts. I can not say enough about how easy and pleasant the experience was. We are in full on dog love with our new family member and wanted to say thank you to the fosters and Patti for taking care of our boy until we found him. This Is an amazing organization that helps so many disabled kids from Kendall, Kane, and Will counties. They offer Sibling Workshops, Support Groups, A book club, Play groups, Parent presentations, and much more. They had their first 5K in april and I ran it, and it was great! I have a brother with down syndrome and this non-profit has made a difference in my whole family's lives.
