June 23, 2020I don't have a story yet....I want a story, a life to look forward everyday, give to others with a smile. But no...I am stuck in this 10x10 room hot, sick, worried, scared, confused, ill, isolated not knowing if things will get worse. I so much would like to change this story around...I know I will some day. I am 58 diagnosed with heart failure, alls thats wrong with me is my heart wont pump strong enough...My medication has blown me up I am getting use to them and started doing better was searching for housing....Now,being cooped up and no one wanting to work is not helping..I have asked for help from my doctor, case workers, senior centers, HUD, LACAD housing, alls I get is go try here..and here only for them to push me out again go here we will put you on wait list..Ive waited over a year..I am so tired, worn out, feel that I cant do anything about this....I am so tired...I am italain, thats how i got to this site...I dont know who you are but will google a place called home after this note. I was searching for housing and got the golden age affordable senior housing..they all are chineese...where do I belong???? Where do I belong?..I am italain,,where do i search???its taken me here...A place called home? I am 58,,,,not 62 or 65....I am disabled on SSDI...food stamps I need help with housing...1 bedroom larger than 10x10 or apartment or studio...or even share a 2 bedroom with another elder...Please help me if you can..my email is jeannie.perri1 at gmail, dot com. They were very organized and helpful. The made sure that I got my hours approved on time.

Last year I volunteered at St.John of God School to complete my service hours. I chose to do my service there because I graduated and attended that school for 10 years. I had a wonderful time helping out in their after school daycare program and I overall cherished the experienced. I got to see and get to know the students from a different perspective as a helper rather than a fellow upperclassmen. I played with the children, helped them with homework and passed out snacks. we should always care for God’s Creation. The children and staff were very welcoming and I’d be glad to go back and visit. Black Book Sessions is a non-profit organization which travels all over Southern California hosting FREE creative festivals within communities. Dedicated to promoting a positive educational forum through live art demonstrations, hands-on workshops, Q & A with industry leaders and an art contest for ages 9-23 years old. Winners of the Art contest receive prize packs including swag and art supplies donated by participating sponsors and contributors. Top winners in the 18-23 age category are eligible to win a college scholarship grants and/or internship opportunities. Together with the help of volunteers, artists, educators, local vendors and families, we can create an expanding support network for young artists. Join us and follow our expanding family in giving back to local communities near you!

Soroptimist Village Foundation helps low-income seniors live their dream of affordable housing. The 46 rental units are very well maintained, landscaping is manicured, the complex looks like a park, and the management goes out of their way to provide extras for the residents: birthday parties, weekly exercise classes, bingo time, etc. The Village has been established almost half a century ago by several Soroptimist Clubs. It is one-of-a-kind !

I am a current member of this organization and firm believer in Hinduism! I am grateful to have been born into such an organization that helps me throughout my daily life. The mantras and the services they provide makes feel one with myself and helps me with my surroundings. Thank you SASC for letting me perform for all the Sindhi events, such as Diwali and take amazing Hindi classes from Sri Makhija. I have been blessed to be apart of SACS. <br> <br>Keep up the hard work for the future generations to come! I know they will keep the legendary Sindhu Center running! <br>

Ilobasco Foundation in Los Angeles (IFLA) works and develops diffferent projects to improve the infraestructure and human conditions of thelittle town in El Salvador, called Ilobasco. The support originates from Los Angeles but we have received great support all over USA.
