The Green Beret Foundation was instrumental in helping me and my two children navigate the arrangements and paperwork when my veteran husband unexpectedly passed away. Their help was invaluable, and we are so fortunate to have such an incredible foundation to help the soldiers and families of Green Berets.

I have been blessed to have had several interactions with Hope and Healing for Warriors in the past several years. And each and every time their kindness, generosity, and warm hearts have been amazing. <br>I have met several of the members and they make you feel like a longtime friend, and they are wonderful when they interact with my special needs children. It is a joy to talk with them during events and meetings, and when you leave, you have the feeling that they actually care for you and that it is not just some obligation.

HarvestCall Rebuilding Ministry helps people recover after a disaster by rebuilding thier homes. We help those who cannot recover on their own. We stay in one location for 3 months at a time and see upwards of 500 volunteers for the duration of the project. We were in need of a laundry trailer and contacted Mission on Wheels. They supplied us with a laundry trailer including delivery, set up and return. We have been blessed by Mission on Wheels and consider them a partner in our endevors!

Truly awful board! They cheat in elections, use tymhe ballot and newsletters to get their freinds elected, sold off property at below market value to another buisness fur a fraction of its valuem scuzzy people. Bad bad bad.

i continue to support Spirit Acres on a monthly basis as i have for 15+ years. it is the least i can do for the outstanding organization led by Kat Matrician and her volunteers. Their love of horses and providing all of their needs is outstanding. i can highly recommend for additional needs for the service they provide. <br>

I am a volunteer with GCH Hero Foundation and cannot believe how many lives we have touched. <br>Through the hospital visits, home visits, and day trips with families, we have been able to bring smiles to faces that may not have had many reasons to smile. <br>As the organizational photographer, I can attest that the families with whom we connect are truly grateful for Malissa and her organization. <br>All of this is done in the memory of Malissa’s son, Garett, who died in 2011, at age 5, of DIPG brain cancer. We miss Garett terribly but know that he is incredibly proud of what his mom is doing for sick and terminally ill children.

My family found Forever Faithful a couple of years ago. I’m still amazed this place exists. I don’t know any other place that offers so much, yet asks for so little. Ms. Teri is a wonderful and generous human being. She truly loves people, horses, nature and life in general. Forever faithful exists because God wants it be there for his children, and I sincerely believe that.

I want to support our troops directly. They are suffering because the upper-echelons are not providing enough support, in many different areas, because they cut costs in areas which are important to the soldier on the ground. <br> <br>I am tired of charities that seem to spend all of their money on advertising and appeal letters. Operation Helmet does none of that. Operating costs are covered by the founder, who operates out of his house, i think. I have never seen an advertisement or any other item of ‘wasted money’ associated with his organization. <br> <br>They provide soldiers life-saving equipment that the military STOPPED providing to them because of a few dollars in savings by using an inferior pad system for the helmets of soldiers. The original pads, designed by a long-time military contractor for protective devices, were only issued to the first wave of troops. The new type of pads are very uncomfortable, causing troopers to REMOVE THEIR HELMETS or they are constantly adjusting them. And they are causing headaches and sore spots on the scalp, etc. Instead of being a protective device the military-issue pads are detrimental to the health of the soldier. They don’t provide protection from the blast waves of IEDs like the original pads. They don’t absorb the impact of shrapnel hitting the helmet, so the shockwave boggles the brain. If the IED flips the vehicle or otherwise causes the soldier to hit their helmeted head against a solid object (the ground, the inside of the vehicle, a rock) the shock is not absorbed by the pads issued by the military, which came from the cheapest bidder — instead of using the pads designed by a company that has been designing protective shock absorbing equipment for all branches of the military for years. <br>Some idiot thought saving a few bucks on a helmet pad was a good idea, even though it ends up allowing traumatic brain injury and closed - head injuries. Which means this veteran is now going to need medical care for the rest of his or her life! Where is the savings in that ? <br>And our troops shouldn’t be distracted by the aches and pains their issued pads are causing. They can’t be as alert as necessary if they are distracted by their “protective” gear. <br> <br>So, this is the most worthy organization I have encountered. I purchased 10 sets of pads to be distributed to any trooper in need. The organization has already distributed 95,000+ sets of pads (the ones originally designed for the helmet), that actually work and absorb shockwaves and are extremely comfortable, meaning the troopers keep their helmets on their head and are able to concentrate on the mission, instead of being distracted by head pain. <br>The manufacturer and designer of the original protective pad set is giving a discounted price to Operation Helmet, so this is a Win-WIn situation.

After searching over 10 months for cadaver K9's to do a search/recovery for my missing loved one Kathy LaMadrid, we were lead to Special K9's Search & Recovery. I volunteer for Search & Rescue in California, so one might think I would have no problem to get K9's from my own team out to search my areas. Crossing county lines to search for someone though with out the Sheriff's consent is no easy task that many will do if a family is asking. If the Sheriff's Dept doesn't issue a call out for that Missing Person, no one is coming to search, leaving families no where else to turn. I had been searching across the country for a team who knows what they are doing & that has had " FINDS" of Missing Persons, because after almost 10 yrs of searching for Kathy I have been told even if we have the right area, we would still have to be very close to where she is located to be able to find her. I believe we have found the right team who is way over qualified & has had many "FINDS" over the years that will come to search for Kathy simply because we have asked. The possibility of closure for a family, you can not put a price tag on, and by having someone who will listen to the family's needs & answer their request, well I can't express that it absolutely means more to us than I can put into words. Not only are they coming to search for Kathy, but also for Missing Person Cort Jones missing from Redding , Ca. since August 2012. Both families are hoping for a resolution, at the very least though this will provide some answers allowing both families to cross areas off the map. When a family is searching for their loved one, search & rescue teams call this " a rest of the world search". <br> <br>California Searches coming in early November 2014. Please keep us in good thoughts & prayer that we have at least 2 Finds while Special K9's Search & Recovery are out in California.

This charity Lake Conroe Forest Civic Association no long exists as of Jan. 01, 2013. It was renamed Project Watchdog (also called Project Watch Dog) and closed down by the Montgomery County, Texas Sheriff department (Deputy Lennon) and Conroe, Texas Parole Officer (Mel Wood) and Parole Supervisor (Mrs. Burkes) on Aug. 18, 2010. <br> <br>This charity LCFCA is not to be confused with LCF Owners Association (not related to this case). Do not trust anyone who associated with Project Watchdog, as although it IS a legal 501c3 Non Profit in the State of Texas-- PWD WAS SHUT DOWN BY THE SHERIFF and PAROLE SUPERVISORS of Montgomery County, Texas (being a SCAM) Aug. 18, 2010. <br> <br>Anyone remaining "anonymous" in the community (LCFOA included, in my opinion) should NOT remain MASKED because of this SCAM - which involved the community and POA board giving LCFCA>PWD use of the community center building, and/or money through "fundraisers" for 18 months. That continued 2 months later, when another “fundraiser” was found by this person (TEXAS REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER) online. <br> <br>Anyone currently calling themselves LCFCA knowing these facts, would be MISLEADING the community in to allowing them to think this “new group” is the same (legitimate) 501c3 Non Profit established 30+ years ago. IT IS NOT!! <br> <br>In my opinion, NO ONE should remain "anonymous" following this SCAM. This should send "RED FLAGS" to the community and officials alike. That includes the current LCFOA board (in my opinion). No one in any public charity should WANT to remain "masked" or "anonymous" at a website. And isn't it ILLEGAL for anyone to do so? (In my opinion, I feel this includes forcing you to establish a profile, just to "read" CHARITY online websites.) <br> <br>Following a SCAM such as this, that continued for 18 months, then another event was found in Oct. 2010, this community needs to inspect WHO IS ON THEIR BOARD. Who allowed this former group to continue to take money as a “non profit” during their “fundraisers”? Who authorized the LCF building to them? And the Sheriff and IRS wants to know HOW MUCH money they took? I feel NO ONE in this community should want to remain "masked" especially after the PWD SCAM. <br> <br>THE SHERIFF AND PAROLE HAVE ORDERED ALL MONEY TAKEN IN TO BE RETURNED. HAS ANYONE RECEIVED A DIME FOLLOWING THEIR DONATIONS? HOW MUCH MONEY WAS TAKEN IN, BY CASH? <br> <br>Please be careful who you donate your money to. Even if they have non profit credentials. Know your charity before you donate your hard earned CASH. <br>
