Being a long time volunteer at Santa's Hideaway Hollow has been as rewarding as anything I have done in my life. The joy he brings-not only to sick children- but to their families, care-givers and friends as well, is palpable. Sick children really do not understand what is going on but their families do. The happiness he brings to those special children permeates the sorrow of those closest to each child. It brings smiles to their faces and the tears are tears of joy (okay there are a few from those who do not want to leave the Hollow;) It is truly a healing Ministry if only for a short while.

Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: The Mission of Santa's Hide-A-Way is to bring families together during a very difficult time in their lives. Often called the "medicine for the soul" a visit with Santa can be arranged by any Hospital's Child Life Department, Hospice, or Child's Disease Association, and is "absolutely free" for the child and family.
Results: We host 7-12 events each summer where special children and their families from about 6 hospitals, dozens of organizations, and Veteran groups are invited to celebrate Christmas in July. In addition, we travel to childrens' homes for private visits all year long to help them celebrate Christmas with their families.
