Causes: Arts & Culture, Fund Raising & Fund Distribution
Mission: The TSF Foundation believes that the Festival enriches the lives of people in our East Texas community by providing cultural and educational opportunities and economic benefits for the entire region. The TSF Foundation offers you the opportunity to support this East Texas treasure. Please make a contribution to the Festival, which depends on the support of its patrons. Contributions from individuals and businesses provide the broad-based support and assure Kilgore College that its annual underwriting is acknowledged and matched through private donations. The TSF Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization with the sole purpose of supporting the Festival. All donations received by June 1 will be acknowledged in the season playbill on the Friends of Shakespeare page. We thank you in advance for your consideration and look forward to hearing from you.
Results: For the 2012 season the TSF Foundation provided the Texas Shakespeare Festival over $95,000.00 to assist the Festival in ending the 28th season with a balanced budget. TSF Foundation Events for the 2012 Season: TSF Winter Fundraiser of THE BOOK OF LUKE Solicited individual donations through the TSF Foundation Letter Campaign, Solicited coporate sponsorships. Held the "Your Choice" Raffle that included a chance to win an IPad3, a Konstantino Necklace, Holland Epic Grill, or a $500 VISA Gift Card. Held a Silent Auction of over a 100 items during the entire season.
Programs: The TSF Foundation, and its auxiliary, the Texas Shakespeare Festival Guild, take pride in supporting East Texas' only professional theatre. The TSF Foundation is managed by a board of directors whose primary responsibility is raising funds to enhance and perpetuate the Festival. The Foundation hosts fund-raising events and seeks corporate sponsorships and invididual contributions. The Foundation has no members but offers opportunities for all those who desire to be a member of the TSF Guild which supports Festival hospitality projects with its membership dues and numerous volunteer activities.
