Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts Education
Mission: Revitalizing the Hoosick economy through active stewardship of our rich heritage and rural environs and the art inspired by them. A 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation
Results: In 2017 we purchased the Wood Block building, original home of the 1880 Wood Block Opera House. In 2018 we were awarded a $200,000 grant from NY State to replace the roof on Wood Block, our first step towards making it viable once again as a community cultural center. To date we have raised half of the matching funds we need to receive the state share of this grant which is $150,000. Our thanks to everyone who has supported this work!!
