To Show We Care is a wonderful organization. It was a pleasant surprise to discover their "Night Out On the Town" for cancer patients. It allowed me a night out sharing dinner and the theater with other cancer patients and their guests. We were treated to delightful dinner and the theater. It was really nice to be able to bring along a friend who has helped me throughout my with transportation and care. I hope more people get a chance to share this opportunity with those who have helped them the most through their journeys.

I need help learning what to do with my newly filled sharps container. Since my husband and I live in a rural area I reached out to these kind people. They have been so gracious to us. <br>Thank you so much!

I first traveled to Guatemala to visit Safe Passage in 2004 and have returned as a service team member and as an individual volunteer about 9 times, the last visit being the spring of 2019. I signed up to sponsor a young girl in 2004 and she is now in medical school with the help of a Shared Beat Scholarship - a wonderful success story of how Safe Passage is enabling children and families to rise out of poverty through education. I am continuing my sponsorship with another student who is in 9th grade and I am hoping she too will continue on to higher education. <br>My trips to the project have enabled me to see first hand the impact the project has on the life of the families living around and working in the city garbage dump. Not only through education of the children but with the adults through the Creamos program which started with Safe Passage and is now flying on its own. Creamos promotes adult literacy and business opportunities outside of working in the dump.<br>I have seen the project grow from its fledging roots as a drop in day care for 20 to 30 children at an unused old church to its current state where is serves over 500 children and families, has multiple buildings and facilities and is an accredited school in Guatemala. Being involved with Safe Passage has been life changing and an inspiration in my life and along the way I have come to meet a long list of other amazing volunteers and staff members that still enrich my life. I feel certain I will remain an active supporter and donor and return to the project as soon as this Covid Pandemic eases.

Kestrel provides a service that very few outdoor educational organizations offer. They encourage students to explore and ask questions about what they find, and instead of responding with an answer to those questions they encourage self-discovery through observation, experimentation inquiry. <br> <br>Kestrel provides real opportunities for students to make personal discoveries and answer question like scientists do in the real world.

Healing Through Horses is a welcoming, healing place where there are no judgements and pressures placed on anyone. It is one of the few places where our clients can feel calm and in control of their own decisions when their daily lives are filled with various forms of therapy and people directing them constantly. I find the work to be so rewarding there because there is instant gratification in watching someone's mood change from cloudy to bright in the course of one hour. What makes HTH so unique and different from other programs is its small size and one on one interaction with instructors/therapists. The horses there are also happy and healthy which makes a huge difference in their ability to serve our clients.

When I moved to Gloucester in the fall of 1996 I started volunteering at the Health Project, it was on Duncan Street at the time. Once or twice a week I would sit at the reception desk, welcome the people who came in for treatment, for lunch, for a meeting or simply to chat and hang out and enjoy the amazingly wonderful positive vibe at the Health Project. I made terrific friendships through the Project, learned and grew a lot, and am grateful for the years that I spent there. It is an amazing organization with a big heart and beautiful people.
