Wolves in sheep's clothing. My group hired PJI to represent our case in a religious discrimination case. They did everything possible to allow the evil ones to win. They did not fight for us. They allowed the judges to use intimidaion tactics on all of us to force us to settle. It was like watching a movie and so surreal. The fact that they just handed them our case and didn't care.

Honoring Our Fallen is such an amazing organization. They are caring, thoughtful, and kind angels from heaven who give their very best to serve grieving families. They are organized, professional, and detail-oriented. My nephew was a fallen soldier and Laura and her team ensured that he was transported home this past March with the utmost dignity, respect, and honor.

I had a great experience volunteering at Hemopet! I really enjoyed working with the greyhounds. I mainly walked the greyhounds. The staff was helpful and nice. I am a high school student and my service hours were verified quickly. I would recommend this organization to anyone who enjoys working with dogs!

While working at the Thomas House, I was welcomed and acknowledged with open arms. The other volunteers that were working alongside my volunteer group were incredibly kind, and so were the members within the shelter. None of the jobs we did were too time consuming or rigorous, so we were able to get many things done in a short amount of time. The community members are kind and not distant, so volunteering here was like helping out friends rather than strangers. I would definitely recommend volunteering here, and would gladly come return someday!

This is a biased review of AMVETS. As a veteran and an employee, I am so very proud of the work we do with our resources. We are largely self-funded and need donations of furniture, household items, and clothing. We can always use monetary donations. 94% of all donations are provided right back to California veterans.

Each morning I have the luxury of taking a nice hot shower. Clean water conveniently pours out of a faucet into a nice, clean sink. Everyone in our state is within 5 miles to some body of fresh water. I've paddled on a Great Lake where I can see 20 ' 30 feet beneath the surface. <br />Too many of us take that foregranted. <br />I donated to, and helped lead additional fundraising efforts for a project that has resulted in the installation of over 500 biosand water filters in the rural mountainous coffee-growing region of Honduras. <br />I was fortunate to be part of a group that installed the first 195 filters. <br />We installed filters in a school, in a clinic, and in countless homes where we were welcomed by families whose generosity was overwhelming. They gave us homemade breads. They sent their kids to the village shop to purchase a cold soft drink which they would pour into their best glass to share with us. They shared cool, fresh melons with us. We didn't speak their language, but we understood. Kids were going to be able to consistently attend school because they wouldn't be sick from waterborne diseases.<br />This was especially meaningful because it was a joint initiative with a large contingent of my fellow Rotarians and friends. We made this a stretch goal for our club ' everyone would do something to support. For those of us that made the trip, it left us with lifelong memories and, for the five teenagers that were with us, it was likely life changing. One of the girls, upon her return home, shared that when she returned she realized how much 'stuff' she had'commenting that it was scattered from one end of her room to another and in every corner of their house. (I'm pretty sure her mother had one of those all-knowing smiles on her face while she listened to her daughter share her experience.) She remembered the modest houses we were in, many of which were a two room house with mud floor where the family slept in one room separated by a curtain from the kitchen/living/dining room. She shared her observation that in many of these homes there would be a single shelf where their most precious possessions were proudly displayed on that one shelf. Then she returned to 'I've got a lot of 'stuff.'<br />As a teenager I participated in week-long hands-on service projects through my church. It had been a long time since I had immersed myself in a new/different location as a volunteer to help make a difference. As adults, it's important that we remind ourselves of those experiences, and that we offer those experiences to our kids.<br />Empathy, graciousness, humility, generosity . . . we forget that you don't need to have a fortune to be rich. We are often poor in spirit and those we help lift us up. So while the financial support was important, it was the first-hand experience that was meaningful. <br />I'll admit, I now turn the faucet off while brushing my teeth, and I don't always take a long shower every day. And I don't view those we helped as being poor. In many ways they had much more. But at least now, they also have clean water.

The world we live these days no more compassion as much as the old time...cause the lifestyle, technology, greedy, natural disaster...... Remember when the 1 day we born, we have nothing in our hand and when we die will be the same. COMPASSION is the needed for everyone and sometime it's just hidden inside our heart and soul but we don't know it. Thank you BAN TAY NHAN AI (COMPASSIONATE HANDS FOUNDATION) for giving us the opportunity to help out people around us (NO MATTER what color of your skin, male, female, gay.....) we all deserve to live a better place with no harmful and people just be kind and love each other with no reason. CHILDREN,ELDER AND EVERYONE HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR, PLACE TO LIVE AND FOOD TO EAT. NAM MO A DI DA PHAT.

Freedom is not free! We hear that so many times and that is also true with the Korean War, June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953. The Korean War is known as a forgotten war, but to families, friends, and communities that lost their loved ones, the Korean War is a never forgotten war. The mission of the Orange County Korean War Memorial Committee is to design, construct, and oversee a monument to honor the memory of the men and women who sacrificed their lives for freedom during the Korean War. <br>We remember the American and United Nations forces that fought bravely to defend freedom on the Korean peninsula. They served selflessly and answered the call to defend a country they never knew, and people they had never met. Koreans will be eternally grateful for the American Veterans of the Korean War. <br>Many of our servicemen and women have since passed away, both during the Korean War and at home, and aging veterans are fading away. For this reason, the Orange County Korean War Memorial Committee has resolved to build a monument to memorialize the noble will and sacrifice of the men and women who fought in the Korean War while many of them are still with us. <br>This Korean War Memorial is not only a symbol of gratitude. This memorial will confirm the friendship between the Republic of Korea and the United States; a friendship cemented in blood during the Korean War. The sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters of Korean War Veterans will be able visit the Memorial Monument and be proud of their loved ones. Furthermore, this memorial monument will serve as a bridge to foster everlasting friendship between those who visit the monument and the Republic of Korea as well the Korean American Community. <br>In 1976, Korean government and President Park, Chung Hee, installed the Friendship Bell at the Point Fermin in San Pedro, California to congratulate America’s 200 years since it gained independence on July 4th 1776. <br>The Orange County Korean War Memorial Committee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Fullerton on March 18, 2014 to utilize Fullerton City Park as a venue for this historic Korean War Memorial Monument which will have names inscribed of all 34,024 names of soldiers who sacrificed their lives to keep freedom on the Korean Peninsular and 2,611 of them were Californians. <br>Our Committee would be grateful for any donations which is tax deductible. Current President of the Republic of Korea, Park, Geun Hae is the daughter of the late President Park, Chung Hee, who presented the Friendship Bell in 1976. <br>We want to build the Korean War Veteran’s Memorial Monument to honor the American veterans and preserve their imperishable spirit, which brought freedom to the country they did not know. <br>

I had been homeless in the past if it wasn't for this organization helping out, by feeding, dressing, getting job leads, writing resumes making calls,getting me off the street I would not be another person today. My thanks to everyone in that Organization. They really care. I was living in the streets, I no longer live in the streets. <br>Daniel

The Rabies Challenge Fund is a great way to help change how often rabies vaccination and other vaccines are given in the veterinary field. Studies have shown that our pets are being over vaccinated, which leads to health problems in the long run such as autoimmune diseases. The Rabies Challenge fund mission is to determine how long animals have immunity against rabies, so they can determine how frequently the vaccine should be administered. Right now, they are working on their fifth year of studying immunity to rabies. Help them make it to year six and seven. And hopefully, we can change the vaccination protocol to protect the health of our pets.Check out their website and spread the word.

I have been a volunteer with Project Dignity for about three years. Quite simply, what is offered to those living in motels gives them a chance to hold on to their dignity. An example is the simple necessity of toilet paper. A family of three to six people can all occupy one motel room for a week with just one roll furnished. Project Dignity meets the need with extra rolls. Families without the material means to take special note of holidays such as Valentines Day can brighten their children's lives through the donation of holiday-themed baked treats, courtesy of the continuing donation from a major retail grocery store. Special time that children spend with the Executive Director in crafts and learning activities fills the need for mentoring so valuable to growing minds. Project Dignity is an organization that pays it forward on a day-to-day basis through the little things --and the big commitment of time, logistics, and the belief in the value of each person that those little things represent-- that never let those in need fear that they are invisible and worthless. Project Dignity is love in action.

I have been to the fundraisers in Irvine area and seen the President speak. She has a lot of passion for this charity and puts a lot of effort into it. Hearing her stories, seeing pictures and videos, and seeing the impact of the work of this organization makes it worthwhile. I have been donating for a few years to it happily.

My daughter and I were involved with Guardettes for four years and after 2 years have come back because we missed it. We could not stop thinking about all the neat experiences we had being part of this wonderful program. This program offers so much...excellent dance instruction, creative dance routines and costumes. We have performed for the community, at dance competitions and in the end-of-year big show. This program creates a family atmosphere where I have met great people who like me, want to give something more to their kids. I love watching my daughter dance as much as I love watching her teammates and all the teams dance. My daughter has learned so much more than dance these past years. She has grown up in this program. Guardettes celebrate our kids..our dancers. Everyone in this program from the director, instructors, families, community and kids give more than what you expect... they all give heart! I love everything about Guardettes!

Each dollar is managed very effectively and efficienty. Serving 200-300 families each month with food, clothing, diapers, hygiene, turning despair into hope on the faces of women and children. Youth mentor program for the arts, tutoring and character development. I rate this "small budget" organization an A*. Under 200,000 annually, with countywide collaboration.
