I would like to share my experience with this impactful organization to introduce others to the power of adding a human touch to today's medical world. As a donor, I seek out charities where you can see the value in your donation. This organization has a goal to promote humanism in medicine from as early on as the initiation into medicine throughout a person's career. I have found as a donor that they offer a unique experience with their GOLD DOC program. This organization affords you the opportunity to recognize a special doctor that has made a true impact within your life by recognizing them for a prestigious GOLD DOC award. I recently nominated my doctor for an award after the personal care and attention i received throughout my pregnancy that made such a difference to both my husband and I. The process was simple, I went through their website and filled out some pertinent information and then wrote a brief paragraph or two on why I thought my doctor should be nominated. In a quick turnaround of a few weeks I found out my doctor had received the letter I wrote about her as well as a certificate for her office and a pin to wear on her white coat around the office. It was the meaning behind this award that made such an impact to both her and myself. I am proud to say I am an on-going supporter of this wonderful foundation.

As a follow-up I have also accessed their website to see if other doctors I may potentially visit are listed on there before making an appointment. I want doctors that are not only knowledgeable but actually show care and compassion about myself and my concerns. Thank you to the foundation for sharing your list!
