I discovered the gem that is BarnLot in 2008. I have acted, assistant directed, directed, stage managed, been a patron, and ushered since that first production in 2008. It has only continued to improve over the years. If you haven’t visited BarnLot you should!
I am always very impressed with the quality of the shows at Barn Lot Theater. I am excited to make my Barn Lot debut as Charlie Brown in the upcoming production of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown in April, 2024.
My friends and I have been coming to Barn Lot in Edmonton for well over a year now.
We have dinner out and then on to the show! Barn Lot folks are so nice and enjoying seeing us as much as we enjoying seeing them.
For a small town theater, they really do it up right every time! The plays are really enjoyable.
I love watching these shows but I really love being a part of them. The people there are so welcoming. They don’t make you feel different as a new performer. Kyle and the entire staff are wonderful people.
As a volunteer (actor), I can say that Barnlot has a family feel once you step through the door. They have a genuine love for their volunteers and for their patrons. During rehearsal for our last production, I suffered a major heart attack as I was leaving the theater. The Barnlot staff and crew were amazing to me and made sure I was comfortable until the medical staff arrived. Barnlot is more than a nonprofit organization. They are a family that welcomes each and every one.
I have never laughed so hard! ♥️ They do the best plays here and the actors are amazing! Mostly volunteer staff and they go out of their way to make sure you have a good time! Y’all should go!
I've been watching shows at Barn Lot Theater longer than I'd care to admit, and I've been involved as an usher, backstage help, actor, and director for nearly 20 years now. I'd challenge anyone to find a more accepting, encouraging, and professional community theater group. The people on stage, behind the scenes, in the booth, in the office, and in the seats are simply amazing!
The leadership has a heart for the community, and that attitude pervades everything they do
This small community theater deserves 5 stars from start to finish. Their box office goes above and beyond to help find tickets and is quick to refund if you have to change your plans. The performances have been topnotch. I have had so many laughs, I don't mind driving an hour. The theater is small enough to have a good seat no matter where you are. Kudos for everyone involved!
Shows are well produced and presented. Actors and Actresses are very professional. The actual theater is very suitable for the performaces.
Barnlot Theater is a great venue for good family fun with a variety of events. The staff are friendly and helpful and the actors and actresses give the best performances they know how to make you get the best experience you can. They know how to keep you on the edge of your seats and even get the crowd involved from time to time. For a small town venue you can’t ask for any better. I would put them up against anyone anywhere. Do yourself a favor and give them a try after one show you will be hooked and have to come back for more.
My first production I ever saw at Barn Lot was MCHS’ High School Musical in 2008. I came back in 2009 to see it again and that spring, I auditioned for my first production, which was School House Rock, Live! That was the start of many productions that I was a part of, whether it was acting, choreography, stage manager, assistant director, and then later, director for 2 of their shows. I’ve always enjoyed being a part of their productions. I moved out of state in 2020 and it’s always made me sad that I won’t be able to act in their productions again, especially with the new staff and performers that have come in. They’ll always have a special place in my heart!
I have seen this theater develop from day one. It has become the go-to place locally for entertainment. They have great productions with wonderfully talented people. The theater has become a major part of the community, and they help with many charity events. I would advise anyone to see one of their plays. You will be glad you did.
We have been attending Barn Lot Theater for many years and love their down to earth and funny plays!!! The best home town entertainment around.
These plays are one of My very most favorite things to do! I haven't seen the renovations this year, but the theater itself has always been wonderful. I enjoy going to the plays, Even though I have to drive from Bloomington Indiana which is about 3 and 1/2 hours each way. It's well worth it! I've gotten to know the staff and many of the actors and they are all hardworking, fun-loving, and excellent actors. I'm taking more of my family down with me in April to see Savannah Sipping Society. If it wasn't so far away, I'd love to volunteer. The theater and it's gang are absolutely awesome!
We’ve been to several plays! We’ve never been disappointed! A night filled with laughter and even a few tears as we connect with each of the characters! The staff is always professional. We love that our little community provides big city, quality entertainment !

Barn Lot has been a part of the community for almost all of my adult life. I had attended plays but it wasn't until a few years ago that I became more involved and it was one of the best decisions I've made. I was asked to be on the board of directors and it has been an experience for me to grow as a person and to help where I can. I enjoy ushering at the plays and more importantly watching the plays. Being involved in Barn Lot has helped me grow as a person and I've met even more terrific people along the way. This area has a lot of talent and Barn Lot provides them a venue and a caring group of people.
One of the first plays I ever attended was at Barn Lot Theater and I instantly fell in love. I’ve had season tickets for several years and I’m always impressed with the plays, actors, facilities and staff. I would definitely recommend this charming little theater to anyone interested in local talent and entertainment.
Been going to BarnLot for almost as long as it has been in existence. Had season tickets for almost that long. The amount of talent in this small community never fails to amaze. And all of the support staff, all of which I like to call friends, are as nice a bunch of folks you will ever want to meet.
Incredible! Over a year ago, I started volunteering as an usher. I was unknown, yet made to feel like I belonged. Everyone involved with this organization fights and works hard to keep the arts alive in a vivacious manner. The talent is massive and overflowing from the performers to the fundraisers. I consider myself very blessed, proud, and honored to be a part of this environment. Through all the diligence and long hours donated by every department to remain sustainable, kindness and appreciation for each other, the volunteers, patrons, and general community is still genuinely displayed. Incredible!

My family, friends and I ALL enjoy the productions at Barn Lot Theater!!! We are thrilled with the NEW look, exciting shows this season, and positive atmosphere! It’s wonderful to meet “first-timers” from near and far each time we visit!
Barn Lot Theatre is, in my opinion, the hands down best theatre in our area. I have been to hundreds of plays over the years and Barn Lot never disappoints. We have other groups that do plays in Glasgow and a theatre in Bowling Green but no one can compare to the little theatre in Edmonton. You can witness any sort of amazing plays there. I’ve seen comedies, dramas, suspense, holiday, children's, and very serious plays there and they were all amazing
We love going to see plays here! The staff is super friendly and welcoming and you can see the hard work the performers put in because they do a fantastic job!
I saw my first show at Barn Lot in 2009 and was immediately impressed by the charm and quality of the theater! I saw several shows in the years following, each highlighted the amazing inventiveness and talent of those on stage and was a true testament to their dedication to presenting the best theater possible!
Flash forward a few years, and Barn Lot continues to be one of the best community theaters in the bluegrass. Constantly selling out shows, drawing the most talented and devoted actors and volunteers and attracting patrons from hours away, sometimes across state lines; Barn Lot continues to exponentially grow. As we continue to expand and work toward our massive goal of a multistage performing arts complex, Barn Lot will become the crown jewel in of the Arts in South Central Kentucky. Our hope is that the new facilities will spur a renewed economic development of Edmonton/Metcalfe County creating jobs and brining revenue into local businesses.
Barn Lot Theater is wonderful. A group of friends and I have been attending for the past several years. They never disappoint. The childrens plays have allowed me the opportunity to introduce my grandson to plays and he loves them. He is 5 years old now.
I started volunteering at Barn Lot Theater in 2017 and it has made a huge impact on my life. I am disabled and was extremely depressed and didn't get out of the house much. A friend recommended volunteering at Barn Lot, so I did. The people there care so much about the arts and about each other. It was a wonderful environment for me and was the catalyst for many things I've done since then (like work and live independently). I am still a volunteer and a huge fan of Barn Lot Theater, and will continue to be for the rest of my life!
