NeoPolitical Cowgirls is an arts and advocacy organization featuring entertaining, ground-breaking performances by world-class entertainers. You can expect exciting dance, movement and plays by stars of stage and screen, both large and small-screen. They’re making a difference by encouraging all of us to take positive action for the causes we believe in!

Watching the growth of the girls as they learn to bike swim and run is extraordinary! I participated in 2015 in their youth triathlon and was all in after that! The world in which we now live needs programs like i-tri more than we even know!

This non-profit has been around for around 15 years, and has much to show for its efforts and persistence on behalf of animals: 10 years of protests, letters to the editor, ads in local papers, Public Hearings with expert witnesses and testimony, meetings with individual council-members, email campaigns, petitions, legal action against the Town Board, ethics inquiries, you name it and: "On Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 5:20PM, landmark legislation was passed in the Town of Southampton; legislation banning the display of wild/exotic animals for entertainment purposes, as well as other animal protective amendments to the Town code. Basically, this means no more circuses dragging in their caravans of misery! No more swaying elephants in chains; no more pacing tigers in tiny cages; no more dangerous diving cat acts or monkeys and chimps dressed like funny little people. ... The legislation, a ban on the display of exotic animals, sponsored by Council-member Steven Kenny, came about after more than 10 years of persistent hard work by members of People for the End of Animal Cruelty and Exploitation~PEACE, in educating the public,. which resulted in a 4 to 1 vote by the Town Board of Southampton." <br>Since its inception, this top notch animal rights organization has been actively involved in local, national and international issues and campaigns, working diligently on behalf of animals: wildlife/hunting issues, anti-fur campaigns, farm animals/veganism, circuses, No Kill advocacy for companion animals in shelters; writing/endorsing petitions for abused and suffering animals, speaking out at local Board meetings and at the NYC Council. This is one of the best and most dedicated unsung hero/grass-roots organizations around. <br> <br>

I have been involved withThe Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons for many years. I have had the pleasure of watching it grow into the amazing facility it is today. Years ago,when I was teaching elementary school, ARF would come into the classroom with an animal or two and give presentations to the students. This type of outreach is still going on and is but one example of the community oriented sevices ARF offers. Once a week I take an ARF animal to the local nursing home as part of a pet visitation program. I help with the training of the dogs in the kennel, and assist with the care and socialization of the newly rescued dogs. I go on off-site adopt-a-thons and rescue transports. Arf now has two experienced dog trainers, and can also boast of having a CGC evaluator and veterinarian on staff. And speaking of staff, ARF has a dedicated and caring one. Add to this a group of wonderful volunteers, and you have a fabulous organization with which I am extremely proud to be associated. I am also a proud mom of several ARF animals.......we like to call them ARFans. They are, of course, perfect!

It is a fantastic organization that really works to promote the work of visual artists in the Hamptons. They have greatly strengthened their role within the community as a professional artists' organization.
